- In Today's video we play a Florida golf course unlike any other - Black Diamond Ranch. This golf course is built around a quarry, where limestone used to be mined, and it is breathtaking to say the least. Today I see if I can break 72, and shoot under par for the first time in a while. I hope you enjoy!

Never seen any course like this in Florida!
Looks beautiful I was down in Florida a week ago and played a course in Gulf Breeze called Tiger Point really enjoyed it and am looking forward to play some more courses in Florida in the future
It’s private. I was invited to play there years ago for a charity event. It’s a very beautiful and difficult course
Reminds me of Sandy Lane in Barbados. Check it out. That would make an awesome video…
I enjoy the single player videos now and again! No gimmicks, just golf and review!
Black Diamond is so beautiful. That’s the spot yo get the pool side bungalow for the lady and golf all weekend. They do bass fishing tours, archery range. It’s so nice
Love the solo videos. It's just pure golf and no parlor games. Mix it in more often!
Agree. Really enjoyed watching this
shouldnt he start an onlyfans?
What a good son! Telling your Dad you love him at the end of your phone call. Good lad 🙏
Don’t all sons do that?
@@garretthamby6013 🤣 exactly
@@garretthamby6013 oh no, there are many that cannot express love out loud. You should be happy that you can do it, whereas there are others that really want to, but due to their childhood experiences and others, are not able to do it.
@@garretthamby6013 from my experience no not all sons do that. 😔
@@Chris-lh6hw I’m sorry, Chris. :/
I dont know what Coles responsibilities outside of assistant professional are at this course, but his level of customer service goes a long way to demonstrating the welcome you might expect. Great video, and Cole you are clearly a star.
That’s the job of the Assistant pro. You wanna move up and make a name provide a customer service above and beyond.
Don't let the bad days get to you! I'm just finding the feel again after a bad car accident last year.
Thought I'd never play at the same level but I can feel it coming back round by round. Every time I play I write down three things I did well that day and it's great to look back on for motivation.
Gratitude and positivity will carry you through. Love ya Grant.
The day I need an under par round to get "back on track" is a dream day for me.
You remind me of me 50 years ago. Was a 1 handicap, for high school and college golf teams
That’s great advice. I saw a video with Tommy fleetwood saying that’s what his dad used to tell him when he was younger after a round. I’m paraphrasing but something like “golf is hard, at the end of each round just walk away remembering your 3 best shots. Take stock of those and create a positive mindset”. Something like that. As a beginner golfer, that’s what I try to do and it helps immensely.
Oh and glad you’re feeling better and recovering from your accident. That sounds terrible. All the best man
22 years of rugby has caught up to me. I have some severe arthritis. Like you I will never be back to a 6 but I am improving. Writing down 3 things that were good in my game will help in consistency. If I write something down I remember it. I can see it will help my confidence. I am glad I read your post. Cheers and Good Luck 😊
Oak Quarry in Riverside, CA is also built in an old limestone quarry. It's stunning!
Did Golfholics play a round there a few years back?
@@josephwirtz8352yes
Yea but it's in Riverside, that's bad in itself
I played there a number of years ago. It was memorable. One of the nicest tracks I’ve ever played on.
Right next to my house
Grant everyone gets in a rut now and then, even tour pros. Be thankful for the year of great play and use it to realize that you can play excellent golf. Keep grinding and your stellar play will return. The mental part is huge so stay positive
Did a stay and play at Black Diamond Ranch with good friends/college buddies. It was amazing. The quarry holes are truly remarkable.
They really are!
@@GrantHorvatGolfs Be careful that people are trying to pretend to be you and scam people now for your P790 giveaway.. almost fell for it!
Grant, please check out Rock Harbor in Winchester, VA. 36 holes, two very distinct courses built next to an active quarry, with large formations all over the place! And they tip out at over 7500 yards!! A couple par 3s that I guarantee are at least 4-5 clubs downhill! Pics on their website...
I need to check that out sometime.
I'm also super excited to see if you start cleaning your grooves before/after some of your shots
Same!
Love the solo videos similar to how I love playing golf solo sometimes. Very peaceful easy to enjoy
I do long haul trucking each week and am gone for 3-5 days at a time and truly appreciate loving vicariously through you on the course. Love the solo content every few posts
Thank you Grant for sharing the details about your current golf game woes, I have been in the same boat for about 2 weeks now (worst scores in the last 2-3 years) and it feels good to know that you are not alone.
I can feel the scores and the swings coming back though, we're pulling through. We just have to go for the safer vs super aggressive strategies until we get our confidence back. Hang in there and break through, I believe in you, we all do.
I’m telling you, personally, I love love loooovveee polos with palm trees! Idk why but for some reason palm trees are my favorite thing rn! 😂😂
Thanks Grant! Really enjoyed the solo video and the thought process of working your way around the course!
Yea man. Coming around the corner on that 1st quarry hole just takes breath away. Even though you know it’s coming, it’s still awe inspiring. Great video Grant. Condolences on the 3 jack on 18. We can all relate to that happening.
Primo, feels great, looks great, and is great! Let's see some collers that are different colors from the shirt!
Seconded on the contrasting collars. It just makes polos look so much better, Greyson does a pretty good job with it.
Smoothest swing in golf 😮💨
Griffey jr Els couples woods horvat top 5 swings allll time 😂😂😂😂
thank you bro, that means a lot
In CZcams golf
Incredible course, incredible game! Thank you for the awesome video and experiencing this magnificent course. All the best to you in the future!
Brilliant video with a great insight into your thoughts through the round. I learn so much from the way such a great player deals with adversity. Grant you are. Legend 😀
Grants team , try out deer island golf course, it’s pretty close to where u guys are at and it’s definitely something to record… hard , long and full of wildlife
Okay, the production values here have gone OFF the CHAIN!!! Just ridiculous, in all the right ways 🔥🔥
Definitely enjoy the solo videos. Continue to add them in when you can. Many blessings to you and your family Grant.
When you talked about not remembering your swing thought anymore from the GoodGood cup that resonated with me. I had that happen a few times in collegiate golf and told myself I’d never forget again. My swing thoughts change every few months but it’s always only one thought. If I have a day or a round where golf feels easy and my swing is firing on all cylinders I go to voice memos on my phone and talk about everything I did that day. Where it was in my hands, my stance, my swing thought, where pressure felt in my feet. I talk through every possible variable so that I can fall back on it
I love the thought of playing golf and not golf swing! Sometimes I can get too focused on the swing as well and not just let it happen!
Even better course 30 minutes north of there. Juliette Falls is the real hidden gem in this part of Florida. Best semi private course in Florida period
How long has Juliette falls been there? I've never heard of it, I've played World Woods, Golden Ocala, and always wanted to play black diamond but never heard of Juliette.
It's not gonna be a hidden gem for much longer now 😅
Wow,what a unique course, cool to take us along. Great playing, best I've seen u drive the ball in some time .
Watching these videos genuinely make my day and make me so grateful to be able to play and enjoy the beautiful game of golf. Keep doing what you do grant, you are an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many others as well
Cole sounds like a absolute legend
Thanks for taking us along with you to a “New” place! The solo Round was a nice respite from Wesley’s constant jabbering. You’ve two special folks in Sadie and Sky . . . always like seeing them in the videos. When you go back to the UK, hook up with Peter, Rick and Iona for a 2v2 Round to make my CZcams Perfect 4some. I don’t even care how you split up.
I just started playing golf this year as a hobby, and it has given me a challenge to try to rise and meet. I'm only in the 9's, but going from a 115 my first outing to a 94 the last week has definitely been a fun ride. Watching you, Bob Does Sports, Fore Play and Rick Shiels has SUBSTANTIALLY improved my knowledge and enjoyment for the game. Your passion for the golf is definitely contagious, so keep it up!
Nice to follow you round again and hear you thoughts, most of the golf game is mental, when you have learned how to hit the ball, keep up the good work :)
My son will only wear a golf shirt if has an American flag somewhere on it.
Your son has good taste!

Perhaps some constructive criticism concerning the editing style. There are a lot of unnecessary cuts IMO. Especially noticable in the cart. When you talk it often cuts to the next sentence and from the surroundings its clear you have barely moved maybe saving 1 second? I suspect its to shorten the video a bit or to keep attention for the tiktok generation. For me its mostly a jarring viewing experience and totallly not in line with your personality (easy going/relaxing). It is imo OK just let it roll every now and then even if you dont say anything for a second or two. It is also ok to not have something interesting to say after every shot or hole. Just leave it out and let the golf and golf course speak for itself or maybe some B-Roll.
Cool story bro
keep yappin buddy
Should of cut this comment….OHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
It's very rare that I watch a 50 plus minute video start to end without fast forwarding at some point. This was an easy watch, well done. The solo content is great. You should do that every month or two. The excitement and pure joy from you were great to see.
I like this style video from you, Grant. The best part is seeing you genuinely enjoying yourself.
Hey grant,
Love the vids.i enjoy your commentary while playing.most utubers I don't relate to but I find your instruction and swing thoughts constructive.
I don't play as much as I used to but feel as if I play thru your videos.
Thanks and keep it up! Keep grinding!
Absolutely love your content another great video. Thank you for sharing.
Definitely like the solo videos. You just have better commentary and you seem so chill. Sometimes I have to forget about that line on the ball too. We have a quarry course in San Antonio, it’s very nice.
Always enjoy your video's, Grant. It's your personality and good attitude that makes them the best.
I like the collarless polos, clean, crisp designs. The black and white floral is one of my favorites.
Great video ! & great round, the last outs are a lil rough but it’s alright ! U take it easy & you can appreciate this round on this crazy golf course! Thanks for this ❤️
Great video! Finally got the explanation I was asking about the change to Ventus Red and now back to Black too!
This was a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Love the solo video! Really like when you share your club and what you’re trying to do each shot too. Keep it up!
Yes, we need more solo videos. You're who a bunch of us came from GG with. Your insight and how you look at the round, your up's and downs of a round, just doesnt come through when the BB's are taking the whole video. Don't grt me wrong. Love the guys. But you and your mindset during a round is what we are here for. GHG... Let's go!
Good video format. A more relaxed approach. Good one! 👍
Great video as always. Seeing the elevation changes reminded me a little bit of a course we have up here in western North Dakota called "Bully Pulpit". I know its North Dakota, but trust me you will be surprised with how beautiful the course is with some crazy elevation changes on certain holes!
Love the single every now and then as you talk more about your game and what you are doing. Awesome vid sir. Have an awesome day!
I get to play here all the time. We love it! Glad u liked it. Best part of living here is sunset over the Quarry. Glad Cole helped u out. He has a new dog, Trout! We love it here
I live near Black Diamond but have never gotten to experience it. Pretty sure you have to be a member or do a stay and play. I have heard great things but would love to play it one of these days
Great round of golf and very entertaining video was rooting for you the whole way
Love the videos, nice break to have just you and the course going at it. Keep up the great work Grant. Big fan. Watch daily. Stay in it!!!
Grant, for shirts, love the craziness and colors.
Love the course! Thanks for sharing the round with just yourself! Great change of pace for your mindset.
I love your energy man! keep it up!
Was a good change of content seeing you playing solo. Amazing views on that course!
Can’t believe you came and filmed at my home course and I didn’t know it until 2 days later!!! So I lived in Black Diamond with family for a few years, have played golf my whole life, and have been a big fan of yours over the last year or so.
They are still there, grandfather has been a member for 20+ years. Love playing there. Hopefully you can come back and play the Ranch once it reopens after this latest renovation. Would love to play a round with ya!
I'm an Ocala guy so I love the north florida terrain. Lots of good courses in and around Marion County. I think Adena tried a similar rock quarry course idea. People are surprised you can go cliff jumping in Florida, but places like the Ocala Jeep club make it possible.
Love your channel Grant! I was a 4 handicap player, but stopped playing in 2012 after suffering a stroke and lost my balance and ability to walk on grass. So I get to enjoy the game thru you now! Please keep up the great vids!!! Loved seeing you play Pebble as it's 60 miles due west from my home here in CA. ~Cheers!
Loving the Course so far. Grant I wish you all the best to break this mental game. Taking time to redevelop your game as your still young and learning. Your swing is solid mate
I feel you grant I been playing good for 9 months straight these last two months I couldn’t even use my driver.. I have to use my woods and play smart basic golf to get to the green it was terrible 😕 .
I started to get nervous lately and I just been playing terrible but I played 4 days in a row and the last two games I played ,I played freaking good and with confidence. So don’t be too hard on yourself man you’ll get out of it . I been following you for a loooooonnnngggg timmmeeeeeee all I’ve seen is you get better and better . YOU GOT THIS MAN !!!
Love the Solo stuff, love the pairs stuff, love the group stuff. When an awesome score makes you feel mediocre, you know you're an excellent golfer. Great content Grant . Wish we had courses like that in the UK.
Loving these solo vids, nice and chill. Amazing course!
Black Diamond is my favorite course around this area in Florida.
I stayed there for 2 weeks and played so much my back was wrecked 😂.
Almost got a hole in one at the top walk level par 3 across the Quarry hole. Another hidden one in Ocala.
Great job 👏 👍
Loved that course and your positive mind set. Ordered three Primo Blade Collar shirts a few minutes ago.
Shout out to Black Diamond Ranch Treating our man Grant like a king, well deserved 👏
Loved the video man. It is giving me lots of honest insight on how scratch golfers view their game and I'm think it will help me improve mine. Keep it up!
Your play expresses so much more wisdom than it used to. Great to see !
Really like the video! Also want to say thank you. You got me back into golf and it is a sport I love a lot. Keep doing your thing
Thumbs up for having an awesome dad. I have a great one myself, such a blessing.
I cant watch anyone play solo but Grant. Its even better than some match plays where opponents arent good enough. He is just so focused and enthusiastic about every shot that it makes it compelling.
great video Grant, your banter & insight run the gamut from funny to serious, you have the gift of gab and of golf!
I started watching your channel with the solo videos. Glad to see you back at it from time to time!
This course looks awesome thanks for the video Grant!
For golf attire, prints are subjective, we all have our tastes but 1 thing i think we all agree on is that it has to be comfortable for an entire round in all conditions. On a hot day i want a nice wicking T that wont get irritating when swinging sweaty you know? Think the primo gear is great quality 👌
Brooksville CC, pretty near Cabot Citrus Farms, has a stretch of quarry holes as well. More of a muni course, but another rare place with some elevation changes.
Love the core Qi10 for you Grant. Even the misses were super manageable. Big fan of the little butter cut you were rocking with this video
Just started getting into golf & you’re the first CZcamsr/Golfer I subscribed to! Always great content! Thanks @grant
Played this course many times. Both courses here on the property are amazing!
Hey Grant, newbie to the channel from Charleston. Love the positivity and energy man. Learning a lot by watching. Love the way you talk through the shots. Keep it up brother!
I knew it was this when I saw the title! My grandparents lived there and it's where I grew up learning how to play! Grandpa had his first hole in one in the quarry. Beautiful course!
You do some fun collabs but the solo round is just a good time. Perfect to relax and get back into your groove. I love it. 👍
Beautiful course. Thanks for sharing, Melman…
you played great Grant! That was so fun to watch. Love the solo vids. You genuinely played awesome!
Grant, I know you enjoy golf with a passion, but I saw a true spark of JOY ignite in your face throughout this round. And I think finding that childlike Joy again is the key to unlocking your full potential. Like when Superman draws from the sun.
Wow what a beautiful golf course. So excited I get to play a private golf course for my first time ever tomorrow!
This was the most enjoyable round I have been able to share with you. You were so calm and you played so well. This was an enjoyable experience!
I like these videos when you explain what you're trying to work on and explain how you're fixing it. Like high hand wedges
Please show us big guys some love and bring out some big and tall golf wear in the Primo line. That would absolutely amazing, bright colors as well. Love all the content. Hoping to eventually be good enough to catch a feature in the next year or 2.
Bro, watching you playing alone is great ! Whatever makes you happy makes us, your followers happy ! I live in Florida and had never heard of this course. Gonna really try to make it , some how !!!
Tough finish but what a great driving round of golf. Cool course. I personally like the solo rounds. Keep um coming Grant
Great round there Grant! Loving the content you been dropping 👍
Grant at its best....humble, polite, positive...thx!!!
Love the video Grant! In terms of golf polos, I think Greyson is the gold standard. Good fitting, amazing material, and most importantly not tight around the arm pits. They have some super cool designs. What I really like is they have the wolf motif that is consistent through all of their designs but not too over the top. Personally I like a pattern that shows something real like specific animals or golf greens versus something that is a more abstract repeated pattern.
I think once in a while it's nice to just play a game by yourself. I really enjoy the fact you go to different golf courses in Florida to give me ideas on places to play other than just the ones nearby. 👍
Enjoy listening to your thought process as to you adjusting your game.
This course is literally 10 min away from where my grandmother lives! I was just up there 3 days ago and she mentioned Black Diamond Ranch as being the top course in the Lecanto area aside from Twisted Oaks Golf Club! Small world! So cool!
Great course and a good round! Excellent video…
The solo videos are awesome grant. I love when you talk about your swing thoughts.
Great track, played it like 20 years ago it still looks as amazing today as it did then. Great round Grant!
New golfer - addicted to watching you play 'the game that plays us'. Humility before honor...in life, and golf.
