  • Hi guys, Welcome back to the channel. This video is all about making a sheet metal press brake. I planned for this project quite a long time ago but never had the machinery to do that. I decided to change the design for the regular bending type design but was never sure about the sharp bending. So waited for the right time to come and the right machinist to do the job. I saw this design on nargesa bender and am very much fascinated about this bender. Although this is a VMC project but to save my money I decided to go with a shaper and the rest of the rounding is done with hand sanding. Definitely, that wasn't the smartest idea but in the end, it worked. To measure the bending angle I am using the digital protractor and just by adding the bending coefficient, I am able to get the desired result.
Absolutely happy with the end result. The bottom die is made up of EN8 and the half round and the top plates are made up of D2 tool steel. From the factory, it is 45 HRC. So I didn't harden these pieces. The top die is made up of EN31 and hardened in my own workshop on a coal forge. I didn't harden the entire piece just the bottom sharp corner.

Awesome build and really well done :)
Sometimes i wish steel etc was cheaper in our country as i would build a lot more cool things or be able to fix things without breaking the bank.
    Keep it up :)

Your contents are good the only reason you can't succed is the poor editing + bad camera angles

We are not successful not because of poor editing. We are not successful yet because we are not niche. We never worked on niche content. We selected so many categories woodworking, stoneworking, stainless steel, metalworking, welding, CNC machining, jewellery and youtube algorithms It works well on niche content not a creator like us who works with so many categories. That is a big reason for being unsuccessful.
      2) The type of audience . I have a very limited genuine audience.mostly my audience is buyer type. They don't want to learn they just think that he can buy everything available on the internet and with that mentality they watch content specially Indian audience. I have very much less audience retention from indian audience they usually like tik tok or short video content.
I don't bother with anything I will do what I want to do and what I like to make. It's doesn't matter to me I am successful or not. I am very happy creating custom products and will continue making them. I think these challenges make me stronger and force me to enhance my ability that's why I could able to make such thing in real life. I hope in future you will see something unimaginable on this channel.
      Thanks 🙏

Well done but you should use bended bolted pieces with bolts made for those pressures instead welding

Thanks brother, Yes, you are right. At that time I wasn't aware of that but those small bolts are doing there job.

@@ambroscustom i suppose welding creates corrosion and failure points, in grabcad there are some of them, if you want we can design one
