I think that if any students were watching Match Game in College Station (home of Texas A&M University), they would have liked Jack Carter's suggestion of "Twelfth Man"...
Yeah. Something deceptive going on here. I remembered that Bill and she were looking at something when she first went over after winning the game. They were her owls. I mean, I don't think that the producers made that question for her specifically because it was already up there, but certainly, Barbara saw the owls.

This episode was taped on July 22, 1979. Twelfth NIGHT ($500 match) SAFE storage (Bzzt!) I think my wife is trying to tell me something. Every night before we go to bed she sprays me with WATER. (Bzzt! I drew a blank on that one. Obviously.) The MGM lion has been around for many years. He's so old, instead of opening each film with a roar, he now opens each film with a YAWN. (4 matches, plus contestant) The strangest thing happened. I got my dog a license, and now he wants to DRIVE. (1 match out of 2) What a mistake. I asked my date if she'd like a short one before dinner, so she said, "Yes," and left with MICKEY ROONEY. (4 matches) MIND your business ($500 match) Wise old MAN (Bzzt!)

ROFL! Another fine episode! :0) ROFL! Love ya Gene! ;0) ROFL! Love ya Charles! ;0) I love it, Brett wanted her to call on her so bad but she didn't! :0) ROFL! Well Charles is right! :0)
It's safe to say ALL of the panelists were much older than I, so I can't understand how they didn't come up with twelfth of never, that was a big thing back then. I thought for sure Charles AND Bill woulda answered drive to the license question
@@pencils812 he shoulda gotten the honeymoon out of his system by then, although I've never been married I will say I have been distracted by my daydreams and fantasies
He was very tolerable and pretty funny on this show, hence why he was on the show for such a long time, along with Brett and Richard before he left. Try again though.
Love that Barbara remembered Mark Cross!! 🙂

Congratulations Barbara! Aww, love to see Charles get some appreciation!
Believe or not Margaret was holding in her hand some owls 🦉!
Two of them at that and she landed on a "Double" too on the wheel! Probably the best moment in the post CBS version!

Thank you!
Gene proved he was an egotistical creep when he was talking with Margaret.
Haha! He just soaked up the praise like a sponge.
Jake is adorable!
The line “twelfth of never” came from Earth Wind and Fire’s single “Fantasy.”
Contestant Charlotte kinda looks like she could be Barbara Rhodes' country cousin
Wasn't that a wierd coincidence that the contestant was holding owls for good luck and the correct answer was owl!

Thank you so much! Love this Match Game!
I don’t know if anybody knows this, but the owl is a sign, of wickedness and witchcraft. I love owls, we used to own some.

Well they said thst Bill had just recently gotten married so that was probably on his mind.

Charles was even worse than Brett, for not shutting up. If he had been half as funny as he thought he was, he might have been semi-tolerable.

@@MooncricketsInc Brett was on for a long time, too, but she was just as annoying. Try again, though.
@Dorin Riki
I know, I already said that.
Congrats on finding them annoying. Lots of people didn't though.
Try again retard.
I like Charles, but yes, he never SHUTS UP!!!
