    be careful when using contactless with ATM in Milan... it happened to me several times that they charged the ticket and after a few days, other arbitrary amounts: 2.3 euros one time, 2 euros another time and so on. By making a complaint you get nothing. Even the VISA circuit can't do much. Be careful with ATM!!! Don't use contact less!!!

      Yeah, something similar happened to me recently. I know that I will not get my money back but still sent a complaint so I am still waiting for the answer. I paid by card and didn’t get my ticket. I asked many people at info or workers from ATM but they weren’t helpful tho. So be careful with those machines and pay with cash if you can.

      @@kageyamatobio6222 same situation happened to me 3 times too, the reports are useless. To get my money back I didn't pay for the ticket another 3 times, entering immediately after another person.... I know it's not the idea but there is no other solution... Be very careful with contactless ATMs, I felt scammed repeatedly.

      Depending on your plan, a daily ticket is valid for 24 hours and which could cross to the next day, but if you'll be on full schedule then better to buy 2 of the daily tickets. If you have a train ticket for MILAN without a specific station indicated (e.g. from POGGIO RUSCO to MILAN), you can reach any railway station in Milan by train without the need to purchase an integrated ticket to reach your final destination (e.g. from MILAN ROGOREDO to MILAN BOVISA).

    • @StrollingAround
      @StrollingAround  Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@StrollingAround Exactly: only if you have to reach other railway stations located within the municipal boundaries are you not obliged to buy an ATM ticket. For example, if from Genoa Piazza Principe I have to go to Milano Porta Garibaldi, once I arrive at the Centrale I can take the Malpensa Express (platform 1 or 2) with the same ticket and get off at the railway station called Milano Porta Garibaldi.

      @@StrollingAround In Switzerland you can buy a City-Ticket. In addition to the journey between the selected place of departure and the destination, the City-Ticket also includes a Day Pass for local traffic (tram, bus, S-Bahn) at the place of departure and/or the destination. Period of validity: 1 calendar day until 05:00 a.m. the following day. Reduced fare with Half-Fare Travelcard, children from their 6th to their 16th birthday, dogs (always in 2nd class). Ciao, in reality, I've seen people taking the bus, metro, and tram with their large luggage, but I must say it's not practical and difficult to handle during rush hours.
      Officially on the web is written that luggage must be placed on the floor so as not to
      disturb passengers or clutter the passages and must be constantly kept by the passengers to prevent them from being damaged cause damage. It is forbidden to transport objects and baggage that exceed, even for just one side, 90 cm and objects that by their nature can represent a danger or nuisance to other passengers (objects of glass or other material with sharp or sharp edges, substances flammable, corrosive, explosive, dirty or odor-producing objects, etc.).
      An exception is made for musical instruments in cases (maximum dimensions 150x50x20 cm), drawing folders (maximum dimensions 100x70x5
      cm), roller bags for shopping and folding bicycles (one per passenger, provided that it is folded and does not exceed the dimensions of
      110x80x40 cm).

I have read that children under 14 travel for free. So my plan was to purchase 4x3 day tickets which totals 52 euros. My question is for the children under 14 - how do i get them through the turnstiles where you enter your ticket to get in to the metro. Is there a family validation area that i can bring the small children through? I hope my question makes sense :)

    • @StrollingAround
      @StrollingAround  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I did some digging for information on the ATM web. There's no printed receipt for contactless payment, the first time you scan then it will be the start of 90 minutes time. If there is any control then just show your card payment and they will scan on their card reader. Within city area you don't have to tap out when you get off, but you still need to tap when getting on to a bus, tram or metro even in the 90 minutes time. The scanner will know you are still within the time limit and won't charge again. I hope this helps, thank you so much for watching 😊
