@katiecakanic I was talking about the part in the "cheat sheet" where it talks about vervain being rare, but how a town in Virginia grows it.

Being the Ravenclaw I am, I just spent 15 minutes researching vervain. It is an ingredient in the potion for mad dog bites, which is taught in fourth year.
Any Vampire Diaries fan knows what Vervain is. This was a great box! I love the sword necklace as I have an affinity for swords and medieval style necklaces.
I hear that it's a really good show!
@@ThePotterCollector It is you should totally watch it! Although like any show that went 8 seasons the quality does down as it goes. The first 3 seasons are amazing! And the spin offs are just as good.

I made philosophers stones just like those, but mini, to hide around Universal Studios Orlando last year when we went. They were fun to make and fun to give. Planning on making a good number of them to hide during Halloween Horror Nights this year as well.

I wanted to go to the Forbidden Forest walkthrough in Leesburg and take some plastic "gold" coins to give to the kids to leave for the Nifflers (if I got the okay). A chocolate gold Galleon from Gringptts and a strip of Buckbeak chow for me, night made.
(Galleons for the kids, jerky for the hippogriff...sentences above REMARKABLY unclear lol...)
The door/archway is 100% gorgeous.
Although a few magical box companies have done the philosopher’s stone, that one is very pretty. Wrapping it to look like the movie was a nice touch.
Well that's co-inky-dinky. I literally just finished watching 'The Order of the Phoenix', saw you had posted, started watching, and the first two Harry Potter references I see / hear were both from that movie. Spooky!
And Vervain is how the vampires are kept from influencing peoples minds in the show The Vampire Diaries.
I'm currently reading The Vampire Diaries books worth a read and alot better than series 👍
Mystic Falls, Virginia is where most of the Vampire Diaries show happens. Vervain was grown and used to defeat vampires. It weakened and burned them to the touch, or consumed. Alot like wolfsbane used towards werewolves. Beautiful reference! The blanket and philosopher's stone were my favorite artifacts in this box ❤️🤘🏼

I love the invisibility blanket the most! I also have no clue what’s the connection between vervain and magical artefacts. However I have two species of native vervain in my garden, hoary vervain and blue vervain. So I must be safe from vampires 😆

This box is so amazing! I loved everything in it. I was happily shocked at the items as i opened them.
I'm such a sap; I teared up when you read the description from the mirror. What a lovely sentiment! My favorite items are the mirror & the archway.
My favourite items were the blanket, the stone & the curse breaker pin as I LOVE useful items & items that feel like they are straight out the wizarding world.
I got my box on Saturday and my favorite item is the comb. The blanket is my second favorite 😍
Vervain and grown in Virginia is def a call to the Vampire Diaries I feel like. Very odd in this sense

The hair comb is probably from a belief that if you comb your hair with a fairy comb that you gain magic and wisdom. And there’s jade combs that are made like this that is said to help your health and hair grow. So it’s actually quite clever if you think about it.

I wish they make a Sectumsempra pin or potion, maybe a box for all the curses, hexes and jinxes not only the three unforgivable curses... That would be lovely... 👀

I think my favorites were the arch, the mirror, and the stone. But I thought they were all good. Loved the candlelight (at first I thought maybe it was a low battery light or something, lol!). Very nice touch.

Really liked the veil and the mirror. Both unique items that we haven't seen in sub boxes. Glad they are going away from book covers; those ran too long. The necklace feels well made but did WT look at that and really think ppl would wear it? It's pretty big. And I think the stone is the most realistic to the movies I've ever seen. I feel like they did a better job than Noble Collection on that piece.
I love, love, love the throw to match my pillows. (My husband bought me a second one for my window bench. 😊) I also liked the potion but this box just wasn't my favorite. Very excited for Keep Collecting 3, though.

I saw where they posted the next hint for ceramic collectables. I am thinking maybe small ceramic stores in diagion alley. It would be like pretty cool if they did even if they were small.

I thought for sure this box would have a nod to the cursed necklace but alas earwax, no. The blanket does look nice with the pillow on one of our antique chairs!

I am not a pin person but I love the curse breaker pin! my other favorite is the mirror. going to have to see if I can snag them for myself.
I was actually super impressed with the mirror of erised. And not so impressed with the veil.. the paint on my veil was not so shiny and wavy. The cloak blanket and diadem comb was by far my favorite!

My niece just got back from going to Florida Universal and drinking butterbeer until she sloshed down the sidewalks Hahaaa She brought me a Merlin card from her chocolate Frog box. I was so excited Now I got the Tin chocolate frog box with Dumbledore card, Merlin card, and the four Founders. That is Six I think there are 14 cards .. So I need more.
The book of magic admittance and the quill of something (can't remember that) is actually in hogwarts legacy up in the headmasters tower

@ThePotterCollector if I remember correctly you need alohomora level 3 to get through atleast 1 door and then you have to find a key somewhere in the tower 😂
One of my favorite boxes to date. Like you, I am not sure why vervain was included in the box. It's not mentioned in the books, it gets a nod in the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite game. I loved all the other items in the box!

I'm kind of bummed with this box for like the first time ever:/ So many of these items have been done in different magical sub boxes.. the diadem comb was in one of the lit joy boxes, the cloak of invisibly was made into a blanket in a Christmas themed accio box and a small mirror or erised was also in an accio box... Wizarding trunk is and always will be my favorite but I'm used to more original items in them 😢

Isn't vervain what they put in the water supply in The Vampire Diaries to stop the vampires from controlling everyone?
I don't remember who did it, (it def wasn't Lit Joy because they did a mirror), but someone did a diadem comb a couple years back AND they did it better. I also didn't enjoy the "shrunken sword"...it's giving heavy metal jewelry sold at Spencer's in the 90's lol. That said, I still love me some Wizarding Trunk and I REALLY love me some Potter Collector. With love from your fellow Slytherin 🐍😊
The Wizarding Trunk was the one who did the diadem comb a while back... I think that one was more of a hair decoration. :D
