The man who plays Caiaphas sure has melody in his deep voice.
Dave Gould you mean
This Caiaphas is an absolute boss.
Would Annas be the one with the bleach blonde fabulous mullet
Because ngl if so he's probably my favourite Annas. With a tenor range I'm slightly jealous of
This is by far my favourite version of the song. The priests have amazing voices and play off each other very well, making each priest just as memorable as the other, and not just making Annas the star priest of the group. They're all really funny and I love the twist on the original song, especially the triplets in Caiaphas's verse. also, damn, caiaphas's voice is hot
"fffOOOOUUGHHHYYOOOOGHHHHHAAAAAve no perception"
What David Gould have sung is 'Fools! You have no perception'
Just like Bob Bingham sung
'Fools! You have no perception!'
This is my third favorite of this song.
I love this, so much!
N'Snync conferencing over Justin Timberlakes new solo album
10/10
amazing
David Gould as Caiaphas is the ultimate bass! Incredible! ❤
At least the Kayafas singer can do the low notes. But what are they wearing?
I actually really like this version. I don't see anything wrong with it, anyway.
That Annas is good!
I'm not sure why the priests are dressed like greasers in this version, but other than that, I like it. I have a question, however: which one is Annas? I know he's played by Guy Taylor, but a.) I'm not sure who Guy Taylor IS, and b.) I couldn't find any images from the show online, or other videos/songs featuring Annas from this production to clarify. I'm GUESSING it's the "wacky" priest of the bunch - the one who's first line here is "A rabble-rousing mission that I think we must abort!" - since he has the most personality of the group, but most of, if not all, of Annnas' usual lines from this song are given to another priest, so that makes it hard for me to tell.
+Jay Mantis Thank you.
+John Robledo It wasn't a performance. It was just a concert version of the performance. And so they weren't in costume. They were just in colourful over the top very unfortunate very 90's outfits.
He's the one who sings What then to do about Jesus of Nazareth.
Hi, I'm Guy Taylor and I approve this message. lol
I'm guessing the one with the fabulous mullet
Shawn Michaels as Annas
Guy Taylor
Was the original Jesus, Trevor White, introduced to the audience?
I didn't know the Jesus Slayers was the name of a bowling team.
Fabulous Caiaphas. Shame about the outfits - they're still not ready to let go of the 80s.
Caiaphas here is outstanding but those other priests hold their own each uniquely vicious. Wonder what happened to David Gould ? First he got Christian religious then went full monty Muslim. Did he see something in the woodshed? Tickle me Elmo he was a good one.
Is this...ska?
Why is Caiaphas' mic hand held? Distracting.
Music and voices are fantastic. Truly among the best. The staging is hideous. Done in the round makes this appear to be a concert performance and not an actual musical.
@Chuck Buskee Not just, with a handheld you can sing closer to the mic to get the bass-y, breathy effect, which you usually do not want otherwise.
Rob steward Annas lol
i wonder if this was good even in 1992. it's not horrible or anything just, whaaaaaa? the caiphas is pretty decent, not quite intense enough but his deepness is good. The Annas is actually really fuckin good, i just wish they all came together a bit better and the music was done a bit closer to the original
What if Caiaphas and Annas were Bogans? 🤣🤣
Meh...its kind of growing on me. The acting ain't bad....
Dodgy jackets and even dodgier hair styles!
This has to be one of my least favourite versions
Alex French it’s just so weird. Like it’s something that Patrick Bateman would have in his Walkman.
