The question at 8:00 was not answered, and the documentarian shocked me because he did not challenge an obvious dodge. Therefore, I am stopping watching this video and likely will not finish it. The background music is not the only thing to suggest that this film is more situation-comedy than serious scientific assessment.
There is nothing better than a healthy balanced diet for our body but the need of supplements can't be overlooked taking into consideration the prevailing lifestyle issue, food cultivation processing and storage methods, environmental influences which alter the bioavailability of nutrients. Even the digestion, absorption and assimilation can't be standardized. So the importance of supplements can't be ignored until we reach a stage where we have perfect earth and body conditions to offer optimum health to all and that seems to be far from reality. Until then, don't ignore supplements.
Nutrition has always been dependent on the soils foods are grown in. Not all soils are equal. For example, Australia is a very old continent with very mineral depleted soils. Where i live the natural soil is low in selenium and phosphorus just to start with. No amount of composting will fix all of this. The nutrients need to be added before planting in order for the vegetation to be properly nutritious.
@beebopbop3074 Calm down, killa. You didn't have to take it that serious. My disagreement isn't nearly as worthless as whatever sentence you were trying to put together in that comment.
How much vitamin D someone gets depends on where the person lives and if a person has conditions that would interfere with the body's ability to make vitamin D.
The only thing I didn't like about this documentary is the idea of using dairy for vitamin D. I really liked the NASA space part. I didn't know that vitamin C is used by the body to make hydrogen peroxide which helps kill cancer cells. Thanks for the upload.
So many professional still does not really answer the question. what you need to do is, get a blood test, see what you are lacking and consult a doctor about it. if you are lacking of certain vitamin then take more from natural resources. if daily activity restrict you from getting, then take a pill that supplement it. there's certain vitamin that you need to be mindful of like A and E, especially if you are pregnant then you should see a doctor really. for Vitamin D you need to take Vitamin K as well. and most important exercise and avoid junk food. If you seldom exercise you can supplement it with drinking wine moderately. Mindful of your BMI and if you are older it is better to be SLIGHTLY overweight.
Definitely, but you shoud get them measured, just in case so you dont overdose on them, but its very important to measure B vitamins, they can cause pernicious anemia, and given the intestinal damage it's possible you might not be absorbing enough vitamins, nutrients and minerlas! (im celiac too, better safe than sorry)
I couldn’t see the miss matched pattern. I couldn’t fully enjoy the beauty of the peace because I kept looking for the mismatch on the handles. Beautiful work
Left the video the moment that man said he drinks a glass of orange juice every morning. Such outdated information. He might be getting diabetes with that. Fibre is meant to be consumed with fruit or else insulin spikes happen. Also food is low in nutrients nowadays as the soils aren't as rich as they used to be. So I will carry on taking the supplements that help me feel better.
NIH pushed carbs due to their feeling the men were too skinny to sustain war time. Now we have obesity, diabetes and heart disease. The diet has not been evaluated in over 80 years!
A great perspective of how a supplement can be a scam. I'm not sure if I got everything that i've been looking to my supplements concerns but it was a good documentary.

The NIH has no credibility. Neither does Yale.
Correct, the reason cerial is fortified is to make you strong enough to digest toxic sugar. You have to fortify your defence to protect yourself.
