    2:08 I’m a faceoff guy and this happened to my shoulder back in April 2019, it stopped hurting after a few days so I returned to playing immediately, it happened a few more times over the course of the season but I thought nothing of it, it’s now October and I’m a goalie for my soccer team and once again re-injured it, I just got examined and need a MRI to determine if I have a labral tear. I really wish I had gotten this checked out at the end of my lacrosse season, would have helped a lot

  • @antoniodup
    @antoniodup Před 5 lety +3

    I have been dealing with one for 13 months and it's extremely frustrating. I believe I tore it at boxing or lifting weights. The physio didn't help, I am currently waiting on an mri. My doctor incorrectly diagnosed me the first time and sent me for an Xray, after I told her countless times it is not a bone. I can't bench press, I can't shoulder press, I can train on the heavy bag, I can barely over-arm swim.
    For those of you watching, I understand your frustration and how it makes you realize how much we can't do. Luckily I am young and I believe with the right diagnosis and doctors/PT, maybe in 8-10 months I will be back doing everything again.

      @wk9195 how old are you? I'm 24, had an injury in both shoulders, couldn't move them very well, they hurt for a few days and then I got some range of motion back. Got my sublexed shoulder back into place. Popping snapping clicking, but never really pain, everytime I do stretching and PT helps. Since then I've gained 20 pounds, take pt seriously and can do everything besides pressing. It seems to get better, sometimes I worry if I do a certain movement it clicks everytime, I have most problems in my left but when this does happens, sometimes I can do an exercise to try and stretch it and see if I can do that motion with resistance and it'll settle down a lot or I can do that motion without any clicking. My right shoulder feels strained but has no instability or discomfort, it still makes noise but not too much like my left. My left makes a lot of noise especially at night trying to cuddle and it's weird because I do a lot of physically demanding work lift above my head with no restrictions or discomfort, hardly ever makes noise during my day hours. Pt has helped a lot and although the noises are still common, they seem to be a lot less audible. If pt is your only solution due to lack of money, defiantly take it seriously and get your posture right and all other surrounding areas right not just the rotator cuff to anyone reading. I just hope this isn't a problem down the the road since it's been like a year and 3 months since the injury and it doesn't hurt. Think I also have more of a tendonitis related lingering issue in my right shoulder, I had numbness in my wrist.

I am not sure if it’s this, because I don’t know if it’s that serious and maybe it’ll go away in a few days since I didn’t hear any pops or sounds of dislocation. But it’s been almost a week and it’s hurting a lot now. I also got my booster injection, on my left arm and it’s sore and hurts. So now I have shoulder pain and arm pain 🥲😭

    Apparently I have an injury to the superior labrum of the anterior glenohumeral joint and also a left coracohumera ligament injury. It’s not always painful, but if I workout my upper body it leaves my left shoulder and left side chest sore for days. I’m having surgery next week. Nervous to say the least.

      @@MartinHernandez-fx4mi It was my first time to have a surgery so I was super nervous but I don’t even remember falling asleep haha. I woke up and it was done successfully. That was four months ago now. A little while after surgery I started off by doing some mobility exercises, and now I’m starting to lift some weight (a 500ml water bottle). Sometimes it still feels a bit sore and tender but I think it’s slowly getting better. Good luck for your surgery man! It’s honestly not bad at all. Recovery isn’t too bad either.

      I had surgery for a bankart tear..and it took me a good year until I could do physical things like work out or play hockey without pain. I did all of the physio and did stuff on my own to try and come back quicker...but it was a long 'comeback. Very frustrating. What sucks is that I think I need another surgery on the same shoulder.

    Can you all help me. I have a Post Labrum tear. (back of shoulder) but my arms are stable and My Doctor (a specialist in shoulders) does not think its the source of my pain or that I need surgery. (he said the tears are small) I am in pain! three months now. I been doing PT for over a month and ahalf and not helping the pain at all. I was giving a Steroid shot in the back of my shoulder to help with pain to see if the pain is from impingement or my bursa, but it has not helped at all. I get bad pain and weakness if move my arm in abduction at around 45 degrees out (so not infront and not to the side, but in between there) like a pintch and my arms drops then pain for hours on end. he said all my rotator cuffs have no tears in them. I had a MRI done. can anyone help me. will PT fix this? how long does it take.

    I have been told I need this surgery by my doctor but I am refusing to have it done because unfortunately for me my operation will be provided free by the NHS and it will be performed by a student and not an expert as they use these (not so important operations) for young surgeons to gain experience, I am not having it done, my sport is Muay Thai, a lad I knew from the gym died during a knee surgery, no I am not joking, he died having knee surgery due to "complications"
