Love the story telling by the fire , you could write a book one day filled with snippets of life . And yes you’d be a great writer
couldn't agree more!
Dewayne you write it & I’ll buy it
You wouldn’t have write it. Just tell your stories just like you do for us but record it on your computer ( your microphone guy can set you up). Then post it for purchase on-line. Seriously
This is better than a book. We get his voice, inflection, body language.... it’s only missing the sensations of smell, touch, and taste, but he also does a great job describing his smoke, drink, snack, and gives you the closest experience possible to actually sitting there with him while he tells a story.
My god I’d buy the shit out of his book and I don’t like reading
Some of my finest memories are from my deployment to Afghanistan just living side by side with people from all walks of life. When we came home my machine gunner from Trinidad Tobago was in a motorcycle accident. When he opened his eyes I was there. His mom flew in and gave me the biggest hug for being there for her “little boy”. He was 6’5” and built like a marble statue but to her he was still that little boy running around the yard. He now has a son of his own and I love him like a brother. Thanks for posting such REAL content. I would like to do a cigar exchange with you if you would be so kind.
Thank you for the kind words, and for the great story. “There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother”. I would love to do a cigar exchange 😊
❤
Greatly explained oh my
@@DryCreekWranglerSchool❤
I don't believe I will ever get tired of hearing about your experiences my friend
I busted out laughing at just the thought of a couple of a distinguished English man and woman enjoying Simple Man more than an Opera show😂 I sure do hope to meet some people like them at some point. Sir, I absolutely adore your videos and thank you!
Charlie Daniels could make a deaf man tap his foot
@@victorkreig6089 Huh ?
Worked at I-65 liquors in bowling Green ky. Charlie Daniel's would stop in whenever he had a concert up north or back south. What a character.
Louis Lemour books was my favorite. Nobody has his his skills writing western like that jewel. Can't hardly find a person who has ever heard of him. People must not read much. Kinda sad. They don't know what their missing
It's Brother Cadfael, by Ellis Peters; a series of medieval murder mysteries in Wales investigated & solved by the good brother. An excellent read!
Agree-I love the Cadfael series.
I appreciate the clerification!
That would have to be my dream vacation. I've always said I wanted to go horseback riding and git me a good mule to take me on my journey for a few days. I'm just a Southwest Missouri born and raised since 93. All I know is work and home since 18. I watch a lot of you radio sir and I very well appreciate you and your word. I really do hope this gets to you.. thank you for everything.
Another good video....watched in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Sir I'm watching from miles away from Bangladesh. I love your culture and the way you live. Nothing but love and respect for you.
RIP Charlie Daniels, October 28, 1936 - July 6, 2020.
I love this, I'm English, work for Historic Royal Palaces and did a working holiday on a Ranch in Saskatchewan. I made friends for life there, going back in June. They have told me I'm the best workaway they've ever had and aparently the kids and neighbours still ask about me 3 years on.
Almost every amazing opportunity and memory I've bad can be traced back to meeting quality people. I wish more people could really grasp that.
I have studied psychology and philosophy for some 50 years now, and just love listening to the wise and so effectively told, advice and stories by this wonderful man! Many thanks.
Great video, Thanks so much!
HERE! HERE! Sir!!! great story!!!
It’s good to have you back! Can’t wait to start getting some regular content again. Your soothing voice, kind spirit and practical advice are something my wife and I look forward to! Though we are going to try over the next year or two to get out to ride with you, even if we never physically get to meet you we consider you a friend and someone who is always welcome in our hearts and home! Blessings :-)
I can definitely relate my mother is from England and she loves her some cowboys you can tell by the way she used to dress me up as a child God bless her love spending me some yarns around the campfire love a good old campfire thank you Dwayne 🤠🐝
Thanks Dewayne!
Dwayne awesome pick oh music and a world class book "Hondo"!
Thank you Sir!
Thank you Duane.
Dewayne, your story point of how all the good people you meet making up for the brief encounters that are not so pleasant is so spot on! I have guided hunters through the years and owned a company where I have the benefit of working with many wonderful craftsmen and meet people all over the world. I always say there are people you meet in life that test a person’s character and then there are those that build its foundation. Thank you for these wonderful videos.
Thank you! The world needs a lot more people like you, 🙏
You’re a great storyteller. Look forward to every new video. I hope life is treating you well Cowboy.
Oh Dewayne, I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised to see this video. Certainly glad you were able to make it. Such a great setting too. I hope Texas is treating you and the wife good. I can't wait til the next one. Thank you and good luck with the your equine job possibilities.
I am speechless. That's an amazing anecdote with so many lessons within.
I still have my collection of Louis L'Amour paperback westerns, love that guy
Well said. And Nice ash you got goin there
Kinda like truckin', there's a lotta places that aren't that good to go to, but then there's a few real good ones that remind you why you're out there.
Thanks for sharing, gotta find that song now.
Good ol boys are a dying breed... God bless u partner.
I've been sitting here going through your videos. I've skimmed some comments and a few others say the same, that they watched one and are now binge watching the older videos to get caught up.
I just want to say I enjoyed the story telling in this one. Great videos.
Best spent time at youtube ever! Thank you Sir!
You are the only channel I truly enjoy watching. Thank you for videos and messages that are truly worth something in the world we live in today🙏🏻. Cowboys really are true gentleman
I too was a wrangler for some years in the Adirondack Mountains.. I rode for 14 he's straight one day to set a record for never touching the ground changed 3 horses that day saddle to saddle. Oh the times as a young man. I rodeo on their local circuit 4-5 months a year.. until I went west and then south again. Many a great folks from around the world..
Hi, Sir! Love your videos! Thanks
What kind of animal is the one passino by at min 1.00?
I have not been on a horse in 30 years. But you have me studying the prospect of doing it again. Thanks, Wrangler!
You need to write a book ! I’m a Texan and proud American, your stories hit Home ! Thank you 🙏🏼
Great story Dewayne. You are absolutely correct sir. You have to be able to connect with people in order to succeed in business as well as life.
You made me feel as if we were sharing the fire and chatting! You really should write a book! I really appreciate your time and channel topics. Thank you.
Outstanding, love your message in this video, and your content in general. Really enjoying your channel.
You sir, have mastered the disappearing art of telling stories. I was captivated from start to end and definitely enjoyed a chuckle thinking upper class British couple enjoying some good ol' Charlie Daniels on their way home from Opera. Thanks for the story partner.
I am now searching ranches to see if anyone wants some one that's a good Steady goofed wrangler but a little older. And yes I want to end my yrs 40+, out where I once lived and loved being a part of.doing lessons take me for the personable state.kat,ct
This is the best time of night for these videos my friend. Keep vloggin’. Thanks for sharing yourself with the earth.
God bless you and yours.
You're absolutely right! The nicest ppl are out there to be met. I enjoy your videos as a touch of the West. I lived in New Mexico temporarily doing volunteer caregiving. I loved the Southwest and would have made it my home, but had to come back to Canada to be closer to my neurologist. I'll never regret my time out west; it broadened my horizons and introduced me to new ways of living life that I still enjoy.😊 I still enjoy meeting lots of people in people in my caregiving job here.
Good evening Dewayne, how wonderful to see you again and that you got to your destination safely 😊 Thankyou so very much for sharing 🌱🌱🌱💕🇬🇧UK
Wonderful! Sound wisdom indeed. Good to see you back.
Life is about people and relationships. All of life from family, friends, business and even brief encounters with strangers. We try to remember to stay positive in all these encounters. Your videos are good reminders to do so. Thank you.
Morning Dewayne. It's good to see you back on line. I hope you are enjoying Texas.
Yeah the story telling by the fire was great, would love to see more videos like that
Boy, did I ever enjoy this one......... Nothing is better than a cigar by the campfire and then looking forward to laying down in your bed roll and getting a good rest. This really resonated with me as I did Civil War reenacting as mounted cavalry for over 25 years. You are right that the people are what make the difference. We all had a common interest of horses and history so we quickly became almost like brothers and forged friendships that last the rest of our lives.
I can only imagine what an impression you made on the folks from GB. You seem like such a genuine person and a great ambassador for our country.
My recommended book would have been Elmer Keith's "Hell, I was There"
No nonsense, crusty old bastards. It would be a great read for the modern social media crowd.
Great Story especially cuz we are now those older people you took out every day! Not surprising they asked for You! They will never ever ever forget you 😇 and you were a young man already making people feel special! 🌟
Even the title has me amazed.
Once you've experienced the folks who work around/take care of horses(in the flesh), there is no going back. Everything else pales in comparison. You will never find such vivid 'humanity' as what you find in the true horsemen.( mind you, I don't mean 'riders,' whom perform or visit for an hour, then leave the dirty, dusty work for another.) Good, Bad, colorful, persistent... working beside the equine produces a special character out of a mere human. The Good Lord knew what He was doing when he gave US Horses to live beside.
Love your great attitude on people. I've worked with people in my career the last 30 years and I don't have your attitude. I'm gonna retire in less than a year spend more time with horses than people and I'm hoping a little of your perspective starts to take hold of me again. If not at least I've got my horses. Thanx keep up the good video sessisons.
Did enjoy it!! Thanks
Father Cadfael, great BBC series with Derek Jacobi. Outstanding actor.
Your Advice from your experience has helped a little Dunn mare that I've been working this month
Lightness as I've never felt
Praise men like you and Buck sharing your life with us
May I be a man that is similar!
To God be the Glory
My parents managed a dude ranch in Colorado when I was a kid. It was one long vacation and lots of fun! I'll never forget the moonlight rides on my horse, Windy. Never doubt the impact you make on the guests of the ranch. :)
Holy cow. I don't know how many videos i have watched of yours today but i cant stop watching them. Im not a cowboy. Always wanted to be. I tried to rodeo but sucked at it haha. Was raised on a farm but left when i got out of high school. Anyhow, i am a amateur photographer and am working on getting my PRCA card so i can start shooting pro rodeos but your video bring me back to when i was little of why i would love to have and live this lifestyle. I don't know you from adam but i would definitely call you a good friend. Thank you. Please keep the videos coming.
That was a great story Dwayne thanks for sharing.🇺🇸👍👍🤠
Watching from Ireland. Loving your videos very informative 👌👍👏😀

I always feel inspired after listening to your stories
It’s pushing me to do a solo trip in Eastern Europe
Amen. So true. Thank you.
Man !! Love this Channel
Brother Cadfael is an excellent series. There's also a TV series based on the books. Both are worth checking out.
Derek Jacobi right? My parents used to watch that when I was growing up. Perfectly complemented by Rumpole of the Bailey
Well-done! Thanks.
God bless brother.
You're the most decent man I've ever encountered not in real life your journey is awesome Good luck sir My God bless you always enjoys so very much you almost sound like Alan Jackson talking he is one of my favorites and now you are one of my favorites thank God for you
The simple truth is u really don't know what type of people u want life, put yourself out there so they could reach u, and after spending time and energy with this/these person/ people, u get to decide to keep or let them go. Follow your heart/gut and it's worth the time & effort to meet people. Best wishes everyone!
Another fella from England here, just found your channel. I immediately bought the Charlie Daniels CD. Love it. I’ll try my best to live up to the old ways.
Simple man. Lol perfect!!! 🇺🇸💪
love the video and I have almost every Louis LaMore book! Also love the guess appearance of the cotton tail rabbit in the first few seconds of the video!
Yessir! Wish I was sittin across the fire from you, with a good cigar of my own, trading wrangling days stories. Best,
T
Might be a year late on the comment but after listening to your story of the elderly couple sending a package to you weeks after they got back to the UK and someone else's clarification on the book novels, I had just recommended my mother to that uhhh, arthor (been years since I picked up a book on purpose so struggled for a second... I'm not into murder mysteries like that but I've been looking into other genres.) and told her about Brother Cadfael series. She benj-watches (spelling of the word is off) crime shows on Netflix, HBO and so forth and figured she'd love to read something like that since she likes to read stuff. Thank you for this lovely video back over a year ago! Still inspiring :D
I had to go listen to that Charlie Daniels Simple Man. Thats good stuff.
Dwane I love listening to your talks😊🙏
I'd love to listen to more of your stories by the fire.
Great story. Thanks for sharing!
Great video!
True people are simple.
Louis L’Amour is what I would’ve recommended as well.
Nice story. Good people are where you meet them. The same for bad people. May we meet more good than bad.
I just found your channel.
Subscribed and notified.
Great advice. Love the video
Great story Dewayne!!!
as a cigar smoker, the truth in your video is proven by the ash on your cigar! a truly GOOD cigar will grow and ash an inch long and not distract from the truth of the story being told! what a wonderful story, God bless.
For one second I thought this was a Red Dead Redemption 2 Camp Interaction.
Take care 🤠
Great story, great cigar and great song choice. Charlie Daniels - Simple Man. God bless
I came here fo the cigars now im here just to hear him talk
Good moning Romania 🇷🇴🙏✋
Ahh.WHERE'VE YOU BEEN.?MISSED YOU.kat,ct
I worked at Absaroka Mt Lodge,
2005. Lots of grizzlies…
I was the breakfast cook. 10 lbs of bacon every day.
It’s interesting, the only couple
I specifically remember from that summer were also from England. They were fun. What I liked about the Europeans is they were just fascinated by everything we did. Horses, guns, mountains, animals, cowboys. The Americans, especially the teenagers, weren’t impressed by anything.
cool story...
one of my favourite videos by you
