JIMMY CARTER & ROGER WILLIAMS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION - PIANO MARATHON 2004 - Roger Williams

Roger plays "Autumn Leaves" and "Happy Birthday" to President Carter and himself! On October 1, 2004, they both celebrated their 80th birthdays at the Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. As an annual birthday tradition, Roger would play a fully improvised piano marathon of hundreds of audience-requested songs. On this day, he broke his own record and played for a full 13 1/2 hours. At count 29:00 President Jimmy Carter joins Roger for their birthday celebration. This clip ends with Cafe Central's interview at the event.

Autumn Leaves was the first song I remember hearing by Roger. I was a big fan from then on!! I have always enjoyed that he wore light colored clothing for the most part.
