I got the same cabinets about a month ago! Fantastic, they have so much space. I was able to organize my garage/mancave beautifully using these cabinets! Couldn’t be happier
How much did you pay for yours? 12 pieces right
I just bought a set. Thank you for this review, and your install video.
Nice! You will love them.
Just ordered a set , and I am glad I found your video , excellent, it sure give me confidence in my purchase.
Thanks! I am sure you will be pleased
Just what I needed to know. I was debating on the Pro vs Bold. Take care
Awesome review bro. I remember your first ever video and you're def killing it. Cause of the video you and your wife made, me and my wife got this system as well. We like honest reviews like these. Keep it up!
Thank you brother means a lot and thank you for your support!!
Home Depot gave me a $40 credit when I found a small dent like yours after opening the crate in my garage.
Waiting on mine to get here! Great video
Thank you, you will not be disappointed! They are awesome
Love mine! The only thing I changed was putting masking tape over magnets because they stick so hard and now it has right amount.
Thanks for the video, I received my cabinets the other day, have to mount them to the wall because the floor slope is greater than 2" overall. I like your method of using 4x4 blocks for extra support
Glad the video helped with ideas. Thank you for watching!
I have had mine problems just over 2 years. They look as good as new.
Awesome review man! If i had the room for big cabinets I’d get me a set.
Thanks bro!
Glad I saw your video. I just ordered a 10 piece set and have the same cinder blocks on the outer edge of my garage. I will probably have to do the same with you, with 4x4 blocks for the legs. Or I was considering running a long 4x4 underneath in the middle of the cabinet, so it supports the cabinets but isn't as visable from the front. Thanks for the vids!
Glad I could help!
Love the setup
Thank you!
Hi Chris, thank you for your video. Great job on the installation of the cabinets. I will be purchasing mine in the next couple of weeks. Great idea on the blocks. If I could recommend you should paint the blocks black.
Thanks, yes I actually did end out painting them and coating them for waterproofing when washing floors!
Thanks for the honest review - I am semi-limited by depth so I can also fit my car in the garage adjacent to the cabinets so I am comparing the Bold vs Pro and some other brands like Saber - I only have about 16-18" depth to play with. Also deciding on true wall-mount or doing like you did with the 4x4 plus wall mount for stability; nice idea. Laundry basket also nifty idea!!
Thanks!
Thanks for the info helps me a lot
Absolutely
I just had my system delivered last Friday. We purchased a 15 piece set. I'm looking forward to setting everything up.
You will love it! I have no relationship or sponsorship with them but I can honest say it’s a great product
Good job, Big Fella! Thanks
Thank you sir!
Great review! Just ordered a set of New Age cabinets last week and was also thinking of mounting them up on a higher curb in my garage (like the cmu blocks in yours). It was helpful to see it 👍🏼. Have you looked into using the Slatwall to put more tools/stuff on the wall?
Hello, yes the slatwall is nice but I did not go with it yet because I have an outlet in that area but may purchase and cut out a hole. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you for the review
Thank you!
Nice ! Thinking about selling my double bay snap on box and getting this for home since we got boxes at work
Overall I love this system, nothing bad I can say about it..
I began setting up my system, I have 10 foot ceiling in my garage, with that, I had ordered 4 sets of the casters for mobility, I am glad that I had, it gets extremely dusty her in AZ. I vacuum and mop out the garage at least once a month.
Thanks im about to purchase some
Awesome, you will love them I use them everyday with no issues
Great review. I would recommended for organizing and keeping your tools in place to get foam pad pieces and you can cut and stencil to the size of the tool. We used that in the Military and worked great for organizing.
Great tip! Thanks
Great content bud. I have the same cabinets and your review is right on point 👍
Thank you, great cabinets!
You guys think the quality is really good for the bold series? The depth of 18” makes me feel Ike you can not store that much. I ordered the pro but have been debating to the bold, just bc it could save me 1k. Any feedback would be great
Saher Hadi bold is great. I have found no size limitations for myself.
Chris Ciuc what about the quality? Is it flimsy? Or dent easily? I plan on using this on my garage at home mainly for storage... appreciate the response back.
Saher Hadi The quality exceeded my expectations, they are not flimsy at all they are pretty rigid and feel of high-quality.
Nice video, thanks. I want to mount mine off the floor so I can wash my garage and keep things clean underneath.
That’s a good plan, my worry was weight limitations but if mounted correctly should work well. I have mine on treated wood blocks so I can still wash floors
Nice review brother, I spy an BMW ///M Logo and AMG on the right cabinet. Good shit i have an M as well
Thanks bro
Nice video. I'll have to do the same with mounting them due to my cinder block foundation.
Thanks man!
@@BOO5Tchannel I just ordered mine!
Your gonna love them
love the cabinets and the garage in general... especially love that bright lighting. Can you share what those are and where purchased? LED?
Sure they are called Barrina from Amazon Barrina LED Shop Light, 8FT 72W 9000LM 5000K, Daylight White, V Shape, Clear Cover, Hight Output, Linkable Shop Lights, T8 LED Tube Lights, LED Shop Lights for Garage 8 Foot with Plug (Pack of 10) www.amazon.com/dp/B07RKZFD5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_fiTzFbCH2VER4
Great video! Are there any holes in the back of the cabinets or the floor to run power cables through? Curious to know if the cabinets are covering up outlets if I could run an extension cord from the outlet on the wall and feed it into the cabinets.
Thanks! There are holes but I don’t thing big enough for cord end but you can surely make one
Thanks for posting this. I've got a set I've been eyeballing since yesterday. Did they ship it directly to your house? Was it unloaded off the truck for you? Just curious how that process went. Glad to hear the 24 gauge is sturdy. That was my biggest fear is going cheaper but getting crap quality
Hello, they did ship to my house and they put it in my garage with a dolly. Went smooth with no issues. Very well built and sturdy. I have an unboxing video on my channel so you can see how they come packaged. Thanks for watching
Great video! How do the shelves hold up to really heavy items like full paint cans and power tools?
So far no problem with heavy items but I’d stay under limit as recommended I think it’s like 150lbs each
Nice review. Those blocks need some black plastidip.
Good idea. Thanks for the tip
Thanks for that very informative perspective, Chris! I have been grappling with the quality issue, particularly for the drawers & doors (ie, people leaning on open drawers & cabinets). What do you (or any of you experienced folks) think of my trying to cut costs by "hybriding" the Bold series for wall cabinets & Pro for under workbench tool drawers/cabinets? As it is now, I would be looking at a continuous strip of about 144" (12 ft)of wall cabinets, with slatboard underneath, & a workbench (with a sink in the center), & undercounter combo of cabinets & a couple of tool drawer units. The other wall (separated from this one by fridge, central vac, door to the mudroom in the house) would have about 112" (9ft) of wall cabinets & slatboard underneath.
As a "woodworker", do you think the bamboo workbench surface could be easily cut to accommodate an 18" x 14" bar-style sink, without losing it's integrity & durability?
What do you think of Husky regular compared to this or Husky Heavy Duty compared to New Age Pro?
I truly appreciate any advice you could offer...!
Hello, I am not sure you need the pro, bold is surprisingly strong and durable but that part is up to you. I unlike most use mine daily and holds up great! You can definitely cut the bamboo without issue in my opinion. I am not familiar with Husky but can say I’m very pleased with Newage and just a fyi I paid full price and they do not sponsor me so this is full honest opinion. Thanks hope I helped a bit
@@BOO5Tchannel Thanks so much for your quick response & honest opinion...I guess it'll come down to what is available in the timeline I have to work in. It seems that many New Age units I need to make the jig-saw puzzle fit in my garage, are "out of stock", so please let me know if there's any other brand you would have picked that are equivalent to the Bold or better, that perhaps I can hybrid in to match the overall set-up...
Derek D it’s been 7 months since I researched a few brands so I can’t remember at that time what compared... maybe your right Husky was one of them but nothing stood out more than Newage. Also I looked at every retailer for best price so some retailers might have stock but not sure
Oh man GREAT video and information especially being that I have the cinder block issue like you do. Would you mind giving me the height measurement of the end cabinets themselves without the foot pegs? thanks in advance dude!
Hey man I think the should be 76”-77” right in there
@@BOO5Tchannel Thanks man!!
Thanks for the review, Chris. I'm about to buy a set. Would you please tell me the height from the ground to the bottom of the top cabinets? I'm wondering if my garage window (and window A/C) will be full exposed in the opening of the Bold setup. Thank you.
Hey thanks, they are between 75-77” depending on which ones
I am receiving these tomorrow from Costco, pretty excited. My question is I have the concrete footings along the wall approx 5 high, I'm assuming the legs in front won't extend all the way down and I will need the blocks..for the 2 side tall cabinets?
Also, the door issue is due to not being level I think as I'm going down the rabbit hole of videos and watched another guy explain that 👍
Yes you will need the blocks which are 4x4 that I bought and cut to size. Mine read level but could be a smige off after everything is bolted together
@@BOO5Tchannel I appreciate that as to be prepared. Thank you for the quick response. Cheers 😁
How have they held up since your video, still pleased with them? Considering the bold series myself. Anything you would change?
Holding up great wouldn’t change anything I use them daily and no issues at all
DIY here is bold good or should I get pro 1500.$ more? Thanks great video
Doug, I am very happy with Bold, I can’t imagine you would not be. $1500 is quite a bit of change...
Hi Chris, getting ready to start my next project but like all my projects i research the help out of what I get. I want a 1 and done. Do not want to have to re-buy later because of issues, defects, wear and tear, etc. Review was awesome and you did what I am planning on doing with my garage overhaul and I would like some more info on that. You have yours 4" off the floor. My walls sit on the foundation a goo 24". There is a bit of a lip, where the cabinets can rest on (about 2.5") I plan on bolting these to every stud and I believe NewAge also offers a bracket to mount the lockers onto a wall. So my question is, how are yours mounted on the wall? Are you using NewAge's wall bracket? Are lockers screwed into each stud? Are there multiple wall mounting sections? Although I have that lip, I believe 1 wall does not and therefore the concern of hanging the cabinet 24" off the floor with no lip to rest on. Thank you in advance and looking forward to your feedback.
Hello, i simply screwed each cabinet into stud with hardware provided no need for brackets in my opinion the weight is not on the wall... The floor holds the weight the wall is just an anchor and I did screw every cabinet in the wall. As for the top they are on indeed holding weight so I think I did use a bracket there hard to remember it’s been a while
@@BOO5Tchannel hey thanks for replying. I do not plan on having these on the floor or like you had done use some wood under the legs. These will be totally suspended (other than resting on the foundation lip, if available). Hence, the concern with weight and mounting to the wall. Don't need them tumbling down or ripping a stud or wall down.
Ah I see ya I have no clue as I have no experience with that type of mounting sorry
How are they for sheer value? Do they twist a bit when you lift up on one side causing the door reveal to change? Thx
Honestly I was more than surprised and happy with the thickness. I did not and do not have any twist issues. I am happy with them and have zero complaints.
The flashlight you showed, what brand is that? Looks like a MAC that I use to own but better. Thanks!
It was amazon light many types available like this now that are better
Hi new to your channel...I'm about to order these cabinets great review...quick question what tool box brand would you compare the quality...
Hey, not sure what to compare it to but so far in my opinion it’s top quality and very sturdy
@@BOO5Tchannel thank you for your help..very good video I'm hon order mine
Are those 4x4 blocks? I’m going to have to do the same thing. It looks really good
Yes they are. Just bought a 4x4 and cut it to 4” pieces
What do you recommend to use for cutting the metal slate wall backsplash for electrical outlets?
I did not use the backsplash but I would use a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade, should be the best result in my opinion
@@BOO5Tchannel thanks for replay. Used a dremel with a cutting wheel for metal. Worked well.
Could you just screw the lockers to the wall without the feet in the front? Just got my Bold lockers and also have a curb to deal with. Thanks in advance!
I’m sure you could but I did both wall screws and feet in front for extra support and peace of mind!
Is the quality different than Husky? The workstation looks nearly identical.
I wish I could tell you but only have experience with Bold. I would say close if I had to guess
Love the setup. Question, are the drawers soft close or do you have to push them in all the way. I couldn't exactly tell when you were going through the walk-through
Hey thanks! No they are not soft close but are very smooth and have a bushing so they don’t slam hard
Can you put the smaller cabinets up on a wall without screwing them into the larger ones?
Yes you can!
Just curious. Is it cheaper on the New Age website or Costco?
It changes a lot check every source possible like I did and make sure to account for shipping, then see which is cheaper for same setup
You can add more shelves to the big lockers?
Yes but you only get 4 need to buy rest
@@BOO5Tchannel thanks man
When they send a combo set like that, are all the locks opened with the same key??
Hello, yes that is correct.
Where did you get the //M Logo banner?
Amazon of course! Lol
Hey Thanks for the vid. Noticed your epoxy floor. Do you know what color your flakes are? I am looking for exact same style
Hello, I believe it is called marble.
I bought the pro series cabinets because they are deeper than the bold series. My 36" locker that was shipped to me had a bad alignment on the doors, it was so bad that the one door would not close without pushing on it with your foot.....instead of going through the hassle of sending it back, I ground off about 3/16" off of the bottom of the door to make it close properly
Can't the base cabinets be mounted to the wall ? My understanding is you can . Also they should have come with adjustable legs .
Yes and yes but only adjustable to a certain amount, I explain that in more detail in the installation video as well. Thanks for the comment!
@@BOO5Tchannel thanks . I'll have to watch it.
What is the official website to buy these?
I am not a sponsor of the product just my personal review. Here is a link newageproducts.com/
Where did you get these from?
I ordered from Newage but I checked everywhere and Amazon had best deal last time. Check around
@@BOO5Tchannel when I checked Amazon. They was almost asking twice the amount. Even the new age store on Amazon was asking twice the amount of the same system compared to what the actual new age website listed
@@cavyboy99 then I would buy it directly from Newage
Did you buy it as an already configured set? Or did you customize.
Hello, I got a configuration they sold not custom.
Forced Induction Studios Thanks I really like these but I’m concerned if I mount them above the 14 inch garage ledge they will be too high for my reach. I’m 5’8”.
David Jeffress you can adjust shelf height and you can also mount top cabinets at the height you want, installation and configuration is up to you!
Forced Induction Studios thanks!
Forced Induction Studios and the worktop height also?
What a beardddddd
Cut it or keep it, that is the question?
@@BOO5Tchannel def keep it!
Those cabinets are over priced trash, poor quality! Look at the quality, the doors dosent even line up and thin metal in them lol No better than Craftsman cabinets!
Thanks for your opinion I like mine for the price you can’t find better I tried. Also I didn’t get discounts or anything I paid full price so take your rant to them… this is not a sponsored video
