Taking a break from politics is a must. But yes I do believe it's important to care about what is going on with our government.

Thank you Allie for speaking on such a bold topic which even Pastors and Evangelists fear to speak about.I come from a Christian minority Country and we need representation and protection and obviously need Christians in Public and Political arena.

Yeah our last pastor said from the pulpit that we shouldn’t be involved in politics. Broke my heart. He is a Jesus loving pastor but shouldn’t have been teaching on politics being that he knew nothing about it.

A lamp lit and hidden under a basket is of no use. We need Christians in Public and Political office. Please tell your Pastor to do a research on Christian minority countries and the afflictions faced by them from the people and government.May be that will change his mind.

Sister Nikki, your last pastor was right, we are called to be separated from the world ,we are to be different. The Holy scriptures say " a true warrior of GOD does not entangle themselves with the affairs of this life. What politics do is try to separate Christians from each other,

@@randy-mw5dq Not every Christian is called to preach from the pulpit but all Christians are called to testify Our Lord Jesus in whatever work they do. And so we need Christians in all spheres of work and department who can serve and protect other Christians in need and trouble. I say again I come from a Christian minority country and I seen Pastors stripped and beaten and Churches ransacked right before my eyes with no one to help.Place yourself in my position then you will know my pain.First as a Christian know how to voice your opinion with love and concern. You can't just blatantly blame me as using the word of God deceitfully. If you think you are too zealous for the Lord then come to my place and defend together with us the Gospel where we defend it with sweat, blood and tears.

I liked how you started out so fired up. :) and to add my 2 cents - I heard a preacher talking about a visit he had made to DC to talk with Congresspeople.... and the thing that got me was how most that they spoke with cared nothing about God or if their decisions pleased Him. Thanks for sharing this and trying to get Christians fired up a little about it!

The parable you used has nothing to do with politics, it has to do with living a holy life before the world, a light in the darkness, people are to see the way we live and know who we are by just that. And as far as Christian's being persecuted remember what our Lord said "we are sheep for the slaughter all the day long" and He also said " if anyone comes to harm you do not resist them for vengeance is mine says the Lord".

Robert Thompson Retirement requires a great deal of wealth, acquired over a long period of time. So what did you do to make all that money? I bet you put in just as many hours, if not more than the maker of this video.
You are not making a good impression. I have some very good reasons to think your statements about the maker of the video can apply just as equally to you.
I suggest you work on that plank before worrying about anyone else’s splinter.
