The thing about that meme which always slightly bothered me is you can still parry a gun it it’s called a half parry where you parry a bit too early and have a 70% physical resistance. Sure you’d lose like 40%
of your health and get a dent in your armor but in actuality given the mechanics of dark souls it wouldn’t affect you much logically

It's actually kind of wild how viable this is. I thought for sure it would be way harder of a run but after you get the basics set up it suddenly becomes sort of a walk in the park
Turns out every build is viable if you abuse the system.
It's basically a magic user in bloodborne. same premise. ;)

Yes this channel demonstrates that playing this game normally is the hardest way to it. Just snorting BMA and gunning everything to death is way more efficient than stabbing it 100 times with your dinky little cane whipsword.

Well, the weapons in the game arent design for that, remember he had to level up to 99 for that to work on NG

Guns can do good damage, even without going ball the way to 99 blood tinge, but you still need to go to 50 for a good blood tinge build. Evelyn, Chikage, and Bow Blade are great. (It kind of breaks some bosses to be able to do good damage from range. Like Lawrence just expects you to be fighting him up close, especially when he is just a torso and moves slowly).
It does take a good chunk of the game playing normally to get to Cainhurst (or the Bow Blade, which is basically at the end of the DLC) to get the good blood tinge weapons.
@@TheCrewExpendable you can get the bow blade immediately in dlc by killing Simon.
I had NO IDEA that you could break parts on bosses.
If you spin-to-win with the axe, you have probably broke some on accident.
Amygdala and Amelia are the easiest to try this intentionally.

Its actually not that bad especially with the extra stuff P5R gives you.
Honestly, does it even count as a run if you AREN'T making Arsene overpowered? Jokes aside, the first palaces blow when using Arsene only, but Mementos can help a lot. Grinding in there for an extra few hours can be a huge difference-maker. By the time you get to the third palace and unlock the gallows, the run is basically already over. Like all personas, Arsene can become absurdly broken in a tremendous hurry when using the gallows properly. Using a Fully-Maxed Arsene with God's Hand and the magic skill of your choice, especially with Charge and Concentrate, is honestly a sight to behold, especially once you get to NG+.

@@EgXzeeT Yes, but no. Think of Chalice dungeons like grinding spots to make the main game easier. The main chalice dungeon's completion can get you okay blood gems, okay blood stones, and pretty decent blood echoes.
But the chalice dungeons ymfah used and are detailed above is like going to a late-game grinding spot, right after you leave your starting town in an RPG. You get more blood echoes than Mergo's wet nurse, the last mandatory boss in the game, by just walking into the chalice dungeon.
