FYI this device will not work if attached to metal door...common issue with these magnetic sensor/s

Yeah the pairing doesn't work at all. The light on the sensor just keeps flashing blue and nothing happens when I move it away, nothing at all. Tried pairing it, tried adding new sensor according to the manual. Nothing at all. I try the pairing, I move it away, nothing. Just keeps flashing blue
