Hi! I love this pattern but I was wondering, would it be easy to add a zipper to this one? I have a skirt exactly like this with a zipper closure but I don’t want to take apart that skirt. Or should I buy the pleated skirt pattern and just estimate how long it to make the ruffles?

Hi Ruby! This skirt is adorable!! :) I have two questions…. What size eye and hook do you recommend getting? And also which fabric would you personally recommend? When I google light weight woven fabric I’m not given to many options…. Would regular cotton work?

twill, denim, linens, cotton poplin, Oxford cloth, flannel,, There are so so so many options. I recommend looking at a skirt you already have and comparing the fabric you'd like to use to that! and for the hook and eye, really any hook size 1/2" and under will do. I use a 3/8" hook in this one
