remember to always wash your fabric before you cut!! i sew almost exclusively with cotton and linen, which shrink a little on the first wash. if you don’t wash it first, it’ll shrink weird after you’ve sewn it and it won’t fit you correctly anymore

@RebeccaKo girl hand embroidering takes so so long, for outline designs like you chose for your dress I'd recommend practicing freehand machine embroidery it will be so much faster when you get the hang of it

Embroidering isn’t a quick technique to do. It does take a lot of time to do. Whether you do your own designs or use one of the iron one patterns. It takes a lot of practice and patience to do whether you or a beginner or a experienced one.

Wish I could have been there to tell you it's fine to cut you fabric on the cross grain when it's a woven cotton with no stretch. As long as have everything square like you did, you should be good to go!
i know you may not see this, but i wanted to let you know that your machine has an automatic needle threader. its the handle to the left of the needle that can be pulled down and turned to the needle.

It might seem like that in some shots bc I used a camcorder which is a little more blurry than my other cameras. I think it gives a more artsy and nostalgic feel :)
