- I found this really cool little instrument in Massachusetts, and was so enamored by it I had to make a video about it. It's made by Critter and Guitari, and is called the Pocket Piano. Although it's not actually a piano, it makes some interesting sounds, and its unique visual aesthetic really makes it look cool too! I also picked out a vintage Zildjian cymbal, since I would like to have another crash cymbal.

This reminds me of the sounds on the old school Nintendo games!!😂
It's like a symphony orchestra in your pocket. 😄
That thing is so fun to listen to🎹🎶
This is cool! Love your videos as always,. Do more synth reviews!
Funny little thing you have there. With a double wave generator inside. Nice. Looks good. I can easily imagine a couple of songs you can make with those sounds. I am also really interested in the reverb instruments you mention. Can’t remember you showed them already, did you? Crash cymbals. The look good, sound good but that’s something I know little to nothing about. But I like it you know a lot about different instruments and still want to know more. Good. Thank you for sharing and playing.
Impressive, if they took the care to do box joints on the wood part of the case, is a good indicator on the quality of the rest of it. Love the sounds it makes! reminds me of early arcade games!
Nice! Reminds me of a DIY project from Popular Electronics magazine.
This is a cool instrument. Very interesting 🤔
Very cool indeed!
James,
Great for sci-fi, horror movies and TV shows.
Foley artist might like that!
My fellow classmate and musician and composer for TV and Movies.
William "Bill" Goldstein (he's on the internet)
, was an early composer using synthesizers. I bet he'd know about that
instrument.
You might find him interesting, he travels around to schools etc. and composes classical music in many styles, while on the go.
Lakewood High School in New Jersey, had a lot of talented performers, not me:)
Cheers,

That pocket piano is something totally cool! I think that would be something that would be right up my alley. Ihad a Moog Opus three and it was really cool.
Awesome as always, greeting from Australia 🇦🇺
Hello there!
looks like a wood/metal version of the 80's Casio VL-Tone.
This thing would be great fore sound effects🎹🎶
Well darn! Apparently that unit is no longer available. I was looking around to see how much windows was because that would’ve been right up my alley. Apparently all that they are have out now is A little 18 key unit that does sampling and organ sounds, but not really quite the same set up.
9:56 sounds very much like part of the theme form "Stranger Things"
If it says piano, aren’t you required to play your treble test piece on it
That was fun. In a way it reminds me of a theramin. Although a good one is expensive, It would be fun to have you review a theramin!
They have long been on my list.
@@ThePianoforever awesome!
@@ThePianoforever Just please don't play "Nobody's seen the trouble" or TOS Star Trek theme (Sheldon Cooper Style)!
Everything is way too cool today 😎
cool!
it's more like a little pocket organ..... _but that just does not sound right_
I never knew that about the patina on vintage cymbals!
There are musicians that will bury cymbals in the sand looking for just the right sound.
James have you ever played a hurdy gurdy? It's perhaps the nost unique keyboard instrument and i would love to hear your take on it!
I would buy it, they are pretty rare now ( i have one )
Cool find James. Is there any instrument you can’t play ?😂
When I try play the violin it sounds sort of squeaky.
@@ThePianoforever 😂
So that's how that did the Nintendo game music and effects. (probably something similar)
Is that the company that invented the game console, "katri?"
Can you review violins? I watch those a lot. 🤣👍
See comment above.

@@Constitution1789 there's a comment that said. Cool find James. Is there any instrument you can't play. Then he replied. When I try play violin it sounds sort of squeaky.🎹🎶
