That mission was waaaay ahead of its time compared to its competition.
I think I remember hearing that fantly too on the level (I don't remember which game, it's been years) were the nuclear weapon is detonated and you're staggering around if you happen to walk towards the merry-go-round.
Single greatest COD mission, absolutely epic.
According to experts that moment when u go prone beside the convoy is absolutely imposiible

All Ghilled Up is absolutely number one in Call of Duty missions throughout the entire franchise to date...
However, "No Russian", is definitely a personal favorite of mine (and many others), and a mission that will FOREVER last in C.O.D fan memories ✌️

One of the most iconic locations in cod and actual history, never gets old. That Ferris wheel give me the chills
it's even more interesting that whole amusement park is brand new, never used...It was supposed to open on the 1st of May, 4 days after shit went down.
It’s eerie now with all the shit going down . Seeing pictures of the Ferris wheel and Russian soldiers.

@@TheDennys21 I haven't played in maybe 8 years but I still remember where every enemy is. It's thanks to the mission being extremely memorable and the fact that I have played it more than 20 times.
So do I and haven't played in that long. This was run so many times back then to me it felt like he was deliberately slowing down. Outrunning the game dialog was the problem when you played it that much.
Got to try it on the hardest difficulty before y’all can brag. I did it (after several frustrating attempts) you are constantly being sniped by enemies in gillie suits

Crawling through the grass with a small army around always have me a heart attack on that mission
imagine having a Mc.millan skin in warzone and everytime you down an enemy he will say:''TANGO DOWN''

I’ve never thought about playing a campaign mission with no HUD, you’ve just made campaign mode 10x more intense and enjoyable!

MW2 Special Ops on this level is also very nostalgic for me. An old friend and I were trying to get 3 stars in all missions after school.
I only started from MW2 so that was my introduction to the level. "That church looks familiar..."
i was actually able to do it and it took me FOREVER and i did all the missions solo except for the 2 were u needed 2 people and had my friend (who SUCKED at the game) help me. i was so happy to finally get the star 69 achievement and see 100% completion for spec ops in main menu
used to play the Homeland Security burger town spec ops mission with my childhood friend so much after school… miss that

The struggles I’ve had when trying to complete the mission on Veteran, the last part is insane..
He made the end look significantly easier than I recall doing it on Veteran back in the day.

I quit all playing years ago. This game was released six and a half years before the crisis in Ukraine. As a Finn, I was lucky not to have to live this mission in real life.

Yea. I also be tactical and be as realistic as possible
I did with Rainbow Six also. Had to count your shots because even if you did a tactical reload you’d throw a used mag back into your mag pouch and eventually would be reloading with partial mags.

Yeah it's pretty awesome. The more memorable and iconic something is the more people are exposed to it and therefore the more memeable it is.
Before this mission there was NOTHING like this in gaming or film. Something of this quality and intensity never existed before and imo has yet to be one upped since. Maybe if Tarkov had a legit campaign or if S.T.A.L.K.E.R was a bit more grounded in reality.

What a series CoD once was...One of the best mission in the gaming industry.
I've played this game when i was 10 yrs, at that small age this mission was terrifying for me, i used to play when no one in home, heart beats raising , the only mission i keep on watching in youtube is this🙂🥰

This mission is what I remember when someone says COD modern warfare. Still the best COD game after COD 2.
I remember playing this mission for the first time , my jaw just dropped. I haven't played a more atmospheric level since.

This game is a masterpiece, both campaign and MP (except for Martyrdom perk haha).
Is it just me or does anyone else love these campaign missions in 4k.
The best mission ever by any shooter game, cod had a couple missions over the years that really stood out and separated themselves from the rest but this one was the best, one of a kind, groundbreaking, just incredible feeling.
This one and Clean House from MW2019 are my all time favorites. Two very unique and memorable missions

I've only played a handful of PC games as an adult, and, watching this video made me realize I played the original back around the time it came out.

Man the levels of nostalgia almost bring tears to my eyes. There were so many things I remember being excited about, so many game changing things in single and multiplayer. Then you look at what excites people in video games these days and it just isn't the same.The immersion with these CoD campaigns for me was something else. I think to this day this game is one of the only games I went for all achievements. I probably played this campaign over 20 times. Now I need to either replay or watch gameplay of the older cod campaigns.

I love how memories of playing are always in HD, this looks exactly like I remember it
played this years ago and remembered enjoying it. I failed at this mission several times - including shooting off the target’s arm instead of killing him. It’s so different without the HUD and feels like a movie. The fact that it’s years old and this great is a tribute to the game designers. Great mission and possibly my favorite with all the sniper shots and sneaking around..
A trip back to memory lane....❤️ This was my favourite mission in MW...played it hundreds of time with different strategy.
Outstanding, thanks for the post, I have this on PS3 and still drag it out for this mission alone. I used to run to the fir tree after climbing over the pipeline and lay down behind it, the troops would spread around it as they walked, great cover.
The guy who posted this has the utmost compassion he seen a dog devouring another animal like figure and didn't even kill him that's amazing

Oh.... my.....GOD!! That was incredible! If this game came out now I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I played the original on Steam, but, it had no controller support at all and I had to rely on a 3rd party program to do it. Mapping buttons wasn't easy and the aim took some doing as you couldn't properly adjust the sensitivity. This level really took it out of me. I got hopelessly lost trying to get to the wheel, I missed that exit out of the old swimming pool!
I kept holding back on buying this remaster as I was wary of re-treading old ground. With not many new games taking my fancy, I may well give this one a whirl now. I didn't know it could look so good. The atmosphere was electric! Thanks for sharing!

I played this when I was a kid and I really love this mission that I replayed this so many times, I already memorized where the enemies are located. I haven’t had access on CZcams before and I didn’t know that other people consider this as their favorite also. Now, it makes me glad knowing so 😉

I've been replaying this mission over and over for years, I must have first played CoD 4 in 2012. I wanted to go through the series entry by entry and it was only last year that I heard the echoes of children playing and laughing in buildings. I'd never noticed it before and it gave me instant chills. the OG Infinity Ward team really did know how to make phenomenal single-player experiences.

Been loving these stealth/sniper videos. Nice break from the Warzone content (not just yours I mean). Loved this mission. This mission was the main reason I downloaded MW remastered.
Nope, this is exactly how I saw the game 10yrs+ ago.. the graphics weren’t this great obviously, but playing this game with my brothers and my dad, this is exactly how I remember it

Even now this has to be one of the best campaigns I have ever played and the multiplayer set a new benchmark for first person shooters. God I miss maps such as Overgrown, Pipeline and backlot. Can't wait til my son is a bit older and I can introduce him to this gaming masterpiece.
Oh boy Tomo the nostalgia hits really hard.The game physics is no match to the present day games but I still remember this mission clearly ,the sheer intensity,fear of constantly being spotted and the grim surrounding make this mission clearly the greatest of all time.
I've always loved the music in this level (13:30). The deep, ominous organ and the string section sound so sad, nostalgic but hauntingly beautiful at the same time.

Haven't played a COD game in a good many years, back then I used to buy all the new ones to play the campaign - this one I played over and over again because it was amazingly good fun, and it could be played coop with a friend. Damn good time.

I still have PTSD from being stuck in a concession stand having 3,000 frags thrown my way on veteran. pretty sure my last save is still in that concession stand after I was shot and killed with Price on my back 2 steps away from the back of the chopper. Somehow I still find it the most incredible mission on any game I've ever played.
Best COD game ever in my opinion I used to love playing this game both campaign and online and this was one of the best missions ever this is bringing back some great memories
