Beautiful brother. Your vibrato is crying, dark and lonely. I've watched this a dozen times trying to duplicate your tone, but I just haven't drank enough Guinness to sound anywhere close! Good stuff.
I put Michael Messer Newtone resonator strings on it and changed the plastic nut and bridge for bone ones then tuned it up a whole step to get good string tension, sounds quite nice :) You can't beat a resonator though.
I have heard many versions to this song my many different blues artists and many people period and this one is quite possibly the best I have heard to date, Awesome sound, and to beat all hell a kids guitar, You don't need a guitar worth thousands of dollars to sound good, point proven, enjoy that G brother, you deserve it for that tune for sure.
Very well Done!!! Kinda sounds like a banjo, its beautiful. The skill, the beer, but most importantly, the soul. How music can affect a person is astonishing, and you made it magic.
Res, I can't believe it's been six months since the first time I heard this. I've heard it many many times since. And I will hear it a lot more. Solid as can be. Got any more???
You know what, I can't believe it's been so long since I recorded this. Everything had changed since then. I'm working on a couple of other tunes, I'll try to record and upload them soon. Thank you for watching.
Gotta say, I've listened to this about 40 times and I almost prefer it to Ry Cooder's version, no lie. The lack of effects really makes it haunting and honest. VERY, very nice my friend, you've hit this one out of the park!. What kind of slide are you using? Is it glass?
Very impressive dude. Just goes to show you don't need a 5k Gibson or Martin, just tallent :-). Lacks a bit of the ooph in the base, but you make it sound dam close to a 1930's national
We pay hundreds of pounds for the best resonator guitars, and you can get sounds like that out of a child guitar A-Maze-zing. Did you have to put heavy gage strings on it? Denis.
Oh yes! Good players need no expensive gear. I took you in my list of good covers of this piece! Check my last version! ;) Feelin Bad Blues - Crossroads - Ry Cooder - 50 years old Silvertone 1423
This is the best cover version I’ve seen and it’s on a child’s guitar, nailed the feeling, respect ✊
This song is amazing ... In the child's guitar became wonderful. Song for our soul...for our spirit... Wonderful bro.

Thank you and you are correct, the more Guinness the better the tone.
Best comment!
@@Resonant93 haha. as long as the kids guitar is in tune, each pint sounds better

Very sweet, & I enjoyed your Iron Maiden sweatshirt while playing this beautiful blues dirge. You knocked this one out of the park.
Kind of a profesional blues man tortured a child's guitar.. And the result is far beyond imagination.. A KILLER TUNE !!
I've got a £4K guitar and I sound shit - your point is proven !! - Great!

I am humbled by your kind words. It is a glass slide, from diamondbottlenecks . com best slides available in my opinion.
Slide playing on nylon string guitar can also sound great, if good feeling applied-
Beautiful
