    This is the best cover version I’ve seen and it’s on a child’s guitar, nailed the feeling, respect ✊

    Beautiful brother. Your vibrato is crying, dark and lonely. I've watched this a dozen times trying to duplicate your tone, but I just haven't drank enough Guinness to sound anywhere close! Good stuff.

      Thank you and you are correct, the more Guinness the better the tone.

    I put Michael Messer Newtone resonator strings on it and changed the plastic nut and bridge for bone ones then tuned it up a whole step to get good string tension, sounds quite nice :) You can't beat a resonator though.

    I have heard many versions to this song my many different blues artists and many people period and this one is quite possibly the best I have heard to date, Awesome sound, and to beat all hell a kids guitar, You don't need a guitar worth thousands of dollars to sound good, point proven, enjoy that G brother, you deserve it for that tune for sure.

    Gotta say, I've listened to this about 40 times and I almost prefer it to Ry Cooder's version, no lie. The lack of effects really makes it haunting and honest. VERY, very nice my friend, you've hit this one out of the park!. What kind of slide are you using? Is it glass?

    • @Resonant93
      @Resonant93  Před 10 lety

    We pay hundreds of pounds for the best resonator guitars, and you can get sounds like that out of a child guitar A-Maze-zing. Did you have to put heavy gage strings on it? Denis.
