This was the best phone I ever had and no phones today compare to it. I was used to it and it had everything I needed. It looked stylish, worked well, and was just so simple and crisp. I miss it so much and would do anything to have it back again.
I had this phone. At the time it was a great phone. After 3 smart phone this still ranks near the top for me
The struggle was real I tell you. I remember when 3.5 inch screens were huge.

This was my first ever phone. I only had it for about a month, and lost it when it fell out of my pocket during manhunt. Prob the favorite phone I've ever had.
I honestly really miss this phone. I had it back in 2009-2010, but lost it when I jumped into a hot tub with it in my pocket :( I want one again.......

This phone is the enV3 but the one replacing the voyager is the enV Touch. Even says so in the Best Buy ad this week. Check it out.
This was the second phone I ever had and I got it in 2009 when I was 18. My first phone was an LF flip phone with a camera and T-9 texting in 2006. Good times.
This was style. Each cell phone was unique back then. Flipping the front to reveal the keyboard was amazing. Also very addicting lol..
i would be getting this if US service providers werent shutting of 3g :(
I had this phone for only a couple of months and am a heavy texter. It could not, by any means, keep up with me and frequently shut off despite having deleted the messages regularly. When the phone was not shutting down it was freezing. After going through five of these phones I gave up and went with the Alias 2 and have yet to have a problem...other than a dog attempting to devour it. However, I will say that I loved the set up of the Env3. Without the glitches it is a neat little phone.
well if u are deciding between which phone to get, go with the EnV3. The EnV3 has a bigger qwerty keypad and you do not have to switch the keys to go to the numbers and also the EnV3 has a better camera, EnV3 has a 3.0 mp camera and alias 2 has a 2.0 mp camera. Also the internal screen in the EnV3 is the size as the alias 2, but it is all up to you which phone you want, but the alias 2 is definitely more unique!
Just depnds on what you need your phone to do.The touch of course has two big screens,better resolutoin, and full headphone jack and some extra memory on board.The env3 has better battery life going for it and physical dialing buttons on the front and it is smaller.The memory and headphone jack diffrence can be compenstated on the env3 with an adapter for the jack and a memory card for extra memory. Both are great phones. Again it all depends on what you really need.
I have had this phone for a year and a half and you went through features that I didn't even know about....
I had the same problem with my EnV2. Document how often it happens with your new phone and post the results on every blog you can. Customer service doesn't seen to be much help. They may upgrade you, but you will have to be locked into another contract.
I just got this phone in slate blue a few days ago and it's the best phone I've ever owned or seen.
Had some problems with my env2 and its being replaced with the new env3 free of charge!! so happy!! and can hardly wait.

In canada, this phone will be known as "Keybo 2", It is coming out later this month, probably not on prepaid though.
Keybo you can get from Telus prepaid @ around 180 from walmart or best buy.
its a light sensor.. it adjust screen brightness depending on the light around you
ofcoarse sometimes this feature can be annoying and can be turned off
Not shabby for the price. It's nice to see Verizon has finally incorporated anti-aliased fonts.
I had this phone for almost 2 years, I just got the LG Cosmos Touch last night.. I thought this phone was good to me, it had an AMAZING battery life, I left it on for almost a week and the battery bar was full. The messaging was fairly good, but after 2 years, it just got old. The inbox got full VERY easily, and it was kinda slow. But, a good phone :)
i just got this phone for my birthday 17 days ago , and this IS THE BEST phone you could have . its great for texting its really easy to text on . i have the blue one , i dnt see why people comment bad stuff its either cuz ur a dummy and drop it of do something to it . it doesnt turn off my battery life is great, and if it dies dnt cry about it charge it , this phone is GREAT . i reccomend it to anyone (:

no, you could pay full retail for the env3 which is 300$ and about 450 for the env touch. but if you have insurence thell just give you another env2.

that's in send mode. if you want to record for more than 30 seconds, click "for save" in the video options menu. but if you record for more than 30 seconds, you can't send it.
The enV 3 is great! I just got it last week in slate blue.

I believe it's 30 seconds at a time. But you can record multiple videos.
The Phone has an internal memory of about 120mbs.
EnV3 is a great phone, i would definitely recommend it. The battery has been great for me and i use it a good amount. The front is easy to text on as well as the keyboard, better then the enV2. The camera is great and the flash is helpful, overall it has been a great phone.
Good video, thanks! Wish it talked down to us a bit more as this is what I chose for my first real phone after using a tracfone for a year :) No idea what a few of the things were that you breezed through.
i tried em both at a verizon store the other day, i liked this one better, but thats because im not a huge fan of touch screens, i find it easier to use a regular phone than a touch phone, so it really just depends on whether or not you like touch phones

t-mobile does a 2 week switch i think
and the 09 cost 100$ more. you cant trade it in if the phone you want is more expensive

The env3 is the same thing as the env2 with only a few aesthetic impovements. For 20 bucks more, the env touch seems like the way to go

Has Both Touch Screen and qwerty keyboard.. if you see commercials for the phone you see it has a keyboard or if you like looked on verizon's website it has pictures of it :)

open and pull out the battery. Gently clean the copper connections in the phone using a knife or eraser. That should help with turn offs for a month or two.
Sadly No, I called Both t-mobile and At&t and they said there was absolutely no way to use it, unless the phone had a sim card. The guy i talked to recommended checking out mod forums.
you're right, actually. i was just there today to go get it, but i can't because today is considered a holiday. i have to wait til monday. but yes it's only 28 dollars at walmart!

seriously, this should've been the enV2. this one has the full direction pad like the old enV, still can go through the phone on the front screen (like the old enV), and has a revised keyboard and camera. the enV2 got rid of the full direction pad, so you couldn't go through your full phone on the front. i got the enV2, and now they have this. i just wish that i could get this. but when i do get a new phone, they'll have an enV4 and enV5, i'll just have to wait.
@dustyaok not to be cruel but that doesnt sound possible. there is a termination fee. its surely a federal offense for a company to force you to continue paying especially when you have the termination fee option. also you can pause your verizon service anytime for free.

I have this phone. I love it. Nothing has ever happened to it like all the people before me.. like the cracked screen from dropping it on a couch.. Its has an amazing camera too. I think the problem that the other people have is they don't take care of it. Its a 400 dollar phone, take care of it. But Yeah, I love mine.
this is the best phone ever. its so much better looking than the env2 and has waaay better features and 3.0 megapix camera and the env2 has 2.0. i jst got this phone and its amazing. my fav feature is the just type to reply thing. i loooove that. saves so much time.
If you don't like your current phone you can go and buy a new one on eBay without changing your Verizon plan.... My friend has been through like five phones in one year and I think she liked this phone
well, there's the Samsung (?) Blitz. It's a blue slider phone with a qwerty and it isn't a touch screen. It's a pretty cheap phone. I think it's like $20 w/2yr.
This phone is very reliable I love it it doesn't break very easily!. Its amazing.
I have the env3 and this is the video witch made me decide to get this one I love the full quarty keyboard and the speakers while using the media player is fantastic oh and for all of u that day it shuts of randomly it's because it has heat sensors so when it gets to hot it will shut itself down to cool off verizon told me that when I reported the probablem so it's a great phone
theres rumors that their going to release a phone, but it will place calls over the internet...but it is not cofirmed
I bought both the touch and the env 3 today. I've played with them both a lot and the ev3 is better in my opinion. The touch is exactly like the voyager. They just mashed the Dare and the voyager. Just go with the en3 and save some money.

rignt now for 129, but im guessing holiday sales might get it down to around 80
its all depends my contract wasnt up till febuary but they had some special in which i renew my contract and got a new phone(i got the env touch...it totallly awesome) but check with verizon to make sure
noah you should do a dogfight between the env3 and the alias2! there good matches
i like the env 3 and touch. i have the env 3 and its pretty amazing.. my mom has the env touch and it is also a really good phone

if you want touch screen the touch, if not the env3. i love my touch. it can be a little finiky though.

The only thing that I notice is it turns off once in a while, but only like once a week, its not as bad as it sounds. but other than that, its an amazing phone :P
the blue is very dark..."slate blue" -- it actually looks gray in most lighting situations.
I'm getting a blue one. I really hate how they don't have more color options. I would love a silver/gray or anodized red one, but the only "male" oriented color is blue which is the one color I despise.

correct. Noah never did an actual review. It ended up turning into a dogfight with the touch. He was a little biased towards the touchscreen and headphone jack on the touch. Otherwise he says they are both good phones.
I'm only getting it since they ran out of Versa's in November but thats ok since I heard that the touch screen sucks compared to the older Dare
i have the alias 1. it sucks for texting, plus it's buggy. and the alias 2 with the electronic keypad wont last long, i heard it only lasts for so long till the ink wont seep thu. i'd go with the env touch or env 3, the touch is alittle better though.

my sisters both have the enV2 and one of their's broke 10 times. like, i'm not even kidding. seriously, 10 times. they might get this as a replacement next time it breaks. i hope it's better.

the env touch is the new voyager, but verizon doesn't have the rights to the name "voyager" anymore

haha yes. no shame. i actually can't afford a smartphone yet, due to being in college. it's alright! :) no problem! i'm glad that i have one because there's a lot of people that don't have even a phone or less even the necessities like food, water, etc, you know? haha i ordered the red one. haha team retro here!
