  • Introduced at Nashville NAMM 2019, the GPC-16E is an exciting addition to the redesigned 16 Series guitars. This guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. The GPC-16E is a 14-fret Grand Performance cutaway with a thinner 000 depth. Other appointments include forward shifted X scalloped X bracing, a High Performance neck and a bold herringbone rosette. The GPC-16E comes equipped with Fishman's Matrix VT Enhance electronics. This guitar is ideal for the guitar player who plugs in or plays at home and wants the comfort of a slightly smaller guitar but with exceptional tone; a guitar with deep rich bass and bell like trebles that rosewood and spruce are known for.

Yup, its not quite a Dreadnought, not quite a 000, . It doesn't claim a particular personality. Its a co-dependent guitar. Kiddin. I just ordered one of these. Sounds nice, Has enough depth for a 000 and enough prettyness for a 15" bout. I'm about to begin an new acoustic trio playing decades of genres so, this guitar should prove to be very versatile and cover a large range of styles. Now, just can't wait till it gets here! Nice vid, thank you.

I find recorded reviews of guitars being played with a capo to be almost useless. I want to hear how the open low E and A strings sound without being choked off.

In your opinion, which sounds better, the GPC15me or GPC16e?

Does Martin make a GP-16E without the cutaway? Acoustic/electric of course. I thought I saw one to Corey's left? I want to buy a GP-16E without the cutaway.

I didn’t like it. Not enough depth. I ended up returning it and buying a 00015M.

I currently own a GPC 16E. Is it me or does the GPC 16E seem a little anemic when unplugged
