(Full Length) Yukon Territory Canoe Expedition: Bears, Whitewater, and Wildfire in the Wilderness

- Embark on a 14-day expedition down the Snake River, deep within the Yukon Territory. Witness the unspoiled of the North and join two fellas on an old-school canoe journey through this remote and breathtaking landscape.
Watch as we get humbled on challenging portages, go full send on rapids, and wander through the often trail-less Yukon backcountry.
Along the way, we get up close (but not too close) and personal with grizzlies, wildfires, and waterfalls.
This is paddling in the Anthropocene - unusually warm and dry with haze from a record 2023 fire season, at times blotting out the sun. Regardless, each twist and turn along the Snake River unveils indelible memories and wonder. A journey in the boreal often transcends conventional outdoor adventuring - and this one was no exception.

WOW. I mean what else can I say... WOW!!! The amount of wildlife.... insane!!!
What month did you guys go? Did you see anyone else during the trip?
This river and the Hart are on my list...
Presheeatcha @EzeAdventurer. Love your channel. We were there late July/early August. We only saw one other group of folks out there. They were lovely people, and I'm happy we crossed paths. I'll be on the Hart this summer - looking forward to it. Safe paddling to you this season.
@@johnptodd03 thanks buddy preeesheatcha back! 😀 ah man you guys are doing it right. Soak up that wilderness whilst you still can 💪💪💪. Not sure I’ll be able to do Yukon this year as only have 2 weeks door to door, and it’s not something I want to rush! Maybe I’ll do Wabakimi and back to Yukon in 2025.. also want to do bonnet plume … want ALL the peel tributaries 😍
@@EzeAdventurer Same, same. The Wind was my first trip up north almost 20 years ago, which hooked me. Keep paddling, my friend.
@@johnptodd03 I will buddy, as long as I'm here and able to, I will!!!
A unique style of presentation that is very well done. I loved it. Thanks for bringing me along!
What an epic adventure. You got me itching to ge there, the only territory and province I haven't paddles in yet, saving the best for last. Keep rocking it. Just to cast a line, let the mountains float by, and spend some time with the fam.
Tight vid man. Well done
What an awesome experience! Great video and amazing capture of the Yukon beauty👍👍
That looked like an amazing trip!! What an incredible landscape to paddle through... a true wilderness canoe trip. Hats off to you guys!!
Thanks, Nick! I'm already looking forward to getting back up there. Happy paddling to you.
Wow what a video. I just found you and can’t believe you don’t have more followers and videos out. I watch a lot of CZcams canoe videos and think you are really great at it. Great adventure great filming and editing and great music. Thanks for sharing. My heart aches to get back to the Yukon. Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Wow amazing. I’m looking for more!
Headed down the Hart in a month. More to come.

Thank you much.
Fantastic editing and congrats on a great trip!
Thank you!
Nice work and great edit.
Thanks Ivan. Presheeatecha.
Awesome job man!
Yeah buddy. Great trip!
Nice video. Looks like a great trip even with the smoke. We are headed there this summer. Any recommendations on spending some rest days? Is it best to push through the bottom third of the River?
It's a fantastic paddle, and I'm glad you're getting back up there after seeing your Wind River trip. Yes, my suggestion would be to use your rest days on the upper half of the river. You'll find endless places to camp while you're in the mountains where you'll want to explore. We really enjoyed a couple days at Duo Lake and getting into the alpine there. I would take your time and not rush into that portage. One of the best places for exploring on foot is from Milk Creek up toward Mount MacDonald. It's worth spending as much time as possible there. If I could do the trip again, I would backpack in to MacDonald from the river. Reptile Ck and a big unnamed drainage on river right, a day's paddle below Milk Creek, are worthy spots to wander around too.
Safe paddling @tailwindsnorth1905. Hope to hear how it goes. I'll be on the Hart this year.
I am so happy to have found on your video. Very nice editing.
I bet we were on the river at the same time. How do I know that?
-very good temperature
- I made the little rock dock in the background at 5:43
-We saw the forest fires light up in front of us because of a lightning bolt.
- red (and heavy)rocks already collected 30:32
-the rock dam to raise the level of water 30:59
- The ''BAR'' in TACO BAR
Stunning video with drone shots!
Ha. We must've been right on your heels then. What a great trip!
Yes totally! A trip of a lifetime!
