I like the transfer option.
This is helpful as I have frequently had issues when using the transfer from Bank Feeds option. From now on I will always to the deposit side of the transaction and then enter the from account. Having a consistent process should eliminate my issues. Thank you

I like the transfer only thing is I haven't used it because my checking is showing in the red or negative but not on my mobile phone app.So I am scared to transfer and it take it from my quickbooks checking account.

Hi! I accidentally entered a deposit that was already entered as a transfer, I then deleted the deposit. My question is did I do this right? Love your videos!

I need to write an actual check because I'm transferring funds between banks, not just accounts. On the 'checks' page, there's nothing in the Category or Item columns for transfers. Please advise. Thanks!
Hi Sharon,
You'd write a check from the account you want to transfer money from, and then pick the bank you are depositing to as the "account". Since this one check will impact both accounts this is the only transaction you'll need to enter.
Then "match" both transactions in the bank feed as they clear/ download into QB.

Hi Candus, this video was so helpful thanks!!! How would you go about recording a transfer from your business checking account that is tied to quickbooks to a personal checking account that is not tied because its not for the business? Hopefully this makes sense. Subscribed!!!

I am new to all this and want to know. Does this just record in quick books or does it actually effect the actual bank. For example if I got to my online banking page will I see the transfer.. or do I need to do it in other locations?
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out.
This is just to record the transactions in QB.

Thanks for this easy-to-understand tutorial. I did a transfer and match but the money doubled in the other bank that I transferred to. One deposit is showing R and the other transfer is showing a C. What did I do wrong?
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out.
It sounds like you either entered it in wrong or you added it in twice.
