The footage in the video is of Loch Doon, this was where I would play and fish when I was a boy as it was only just over the hill from my house in a small village called Bellsbank. The other footage is of the River Doon and Ayr both local waters and in Ayrshire the land of the honest man, Robert Burns and many others...

I was born in one the prefabs, 2 The Crofts, which was in front of the old Scout hut so I'm proud to say that I was born and bred there...I fished everywhere I could especially Loch Doon and Drumgrange and Keirs on the river so we would probably have fished together I'm sure..I went to school with Tam Auld and Drew Currie and a few others which I'm sure you may know...I'm glad the flies have been working for you....

Would a regular zonker strip or pine squirrel also work?
hi davie could you do a video on how to tie a dogs biscuit because the place i fish they are deadly for the trout and it would be nice to know how to tie one when I start tying thanks

Ok I’m gonna show some ignorance, but this is the first time I have heard of anyone using mink to tie flies. I have never seen any in the supply catalogs unless I have over looked it, would you please enlighten me a little?
