I was right there with you dealing with depression but thank god I found Pastor Mike video's it really got me out of my funk. I have my good days and bad but more good than bad. This the first time I am commenting on an online sermon. I have walked out of the faith and am currently on one of the worst times of my life. My heart, as it is, i feel is slowly hardened. And emptied. By life. By experiences. And by honestly, experiencing THE biggest regret of my life. something i have to live with.. But when I heard Pastor Mike made that symbolism of the glove, and say something along the lines of... "your real purpose can only be revealed when you allow God's spirit to fill you"... Raised in a christian home where we were taught how we should be as Christians and what we should and shouldn't do... i was pretty good with all that till i reached university.. I have spent 10 years trying to figure out who i am because i went and did things i never thought i would do, things that went against the image i was raised up to project... the biggest fight was saying goodbye to that "good christian girl" image and trying to accept the "real" me who is weak, depraved, sinful and rebellious. I never knew how to face God, how could he still love someone who knew better but still went and messed up? I am still struggling, but God's faithfulness bring me to tears... the real me isn't the perfect image i was raised to be and its not all my mistakes and failures... i am finding myself in Christ and this is the first time in many years i have peace in my identity.

I was molested at the age of 7, I never processed it as a teenager, or even as a young man. I searched up a sermon about depression and this one came up . I tried to take my life two days ago. And I realized I didn't even really wanna die. I was just in pain. Today I don't have hope but I'm willing to fight and try. So I'm going to watch this sermon and come edit this comment .

This the first time I am commenting on an online sermon. I have walked out of the faith and am currently on one of the worst times of my life. My heart, as it is, i feel is slowly hardened. And emptied. By life. By experiences. And by honestly, experiencing THE biggest regret of my life. something i have to live with.. Raised in a christian home where we were taught how we should be as Christians and what we should and shouldn't do... i was pretty good with all that till i reached university.. I have spent 10 years trying to figure out who i am because i went and did things i never thought i would do, things that went against the image i was raised up to project... the biggest fight was saying goodbye to that "good christian girl" image and trying to accept the "real" me who is weak, depraved, sinful and rebellious. I never knew how to face God, how could he still love someone who knew better but still went and messed up? I am still struggling, but God's faithfulness bring me to tears... the real me isn't the perfect image i was raised to be and its not all my mistakes and failures... i am finding myself in Christ and this is the first time in many years i have peace in my identity.

I was molested at the age of 7, I never processed it as a teenager, or even as a young man. My walk with the Lord revealed to me that the moment I chose to never speak of, could very well be responsible for the mentality I developed towards sex, women, perversion, and sexual immoral endeavors, like Pornography. I was always worried what it could mean to my family..he was my Grandmother’s husband, my uncles father, and my mom loved him so much, unconditional love, always so grateful when he offered to help us in any way. I was afraid of speaking the truth, but no more. I told my family of this atrocity that had fallen upon me at such a young age. Although it only happened ONCE, the image remained. But there is no pity necessary here today, yesterday, or tomorrow, for I stand here today Redeemed in Christ Jesus, I stand firm in his Glory, I stand tall in the redemption of my past transgressions. The Lord pulled me away from the worst things about myself, and the more I dove into Christ, the more those things began to fall away, by the sanctity of my Salvation.

Oh my goodness! If I thought Crazy Faith and Relationship Goals Reloaded was thought provoking and amazing Damaged Goods just knocked the ball right out of the park! My goodness, talking about straight in my face, all in my business! I tried hard not to cry, not to be affected by, but at the end of videos 1 and 2 my face was wet and my shirt! Jesus, I don't know what it is that God is up to in my life right now but I am responsive and anxiously waiting to see the changes that already taking place in my heart and in my life! Not only that but I'm telling everybody about Transformation Church, Transformation Nation (of which I see myself a part of) and the man -child of God Pastor Micheal Todd! The saying goes "and a child shall lead them" (I'm 60) and while I'm not seeing him as a child, he's quite a bit younger than me yet twice if not more my age in Godly wisdom! His teaching is on point, refreshing and oh so funny at the same time! I didn't know what I was needing or missing, I certainly do now and I'm so extremely grateful that my Father is addressing my needs so thoroughly and beautifully by way of this incredible ministry! I've been binge watching, sometimes the same video more than once and I'm trying to read and understand God's word differently/better!
