I thought Ian you had made a comment about bucket auto levelling but could not find it second time around. Great vid.
I cannot find the auto levelling either - I need to ask them as I am sure it has this ability.
@@HomesteadingUncontained My recollection is that in one of your videos (perhaps I am mistaken) you had mentioned that during the bucket loaded lift arc you needed to adjust the bucket to avoid spillage and you wished it had auto levelling. I have sought advice from China but no response as yet.
Lucky Ian. A mate sells similar skid steers, and with the fork attachment it's a 10 grand machine 👍 They have much better hydraulic pumps than the mini excavators, most have dual pumps for the drive and auxiliary circuits. Just be careful you don't get addicted to buying too many attachments for it 😉
It feels so much better than the excavator for sure.
I am glad you look so comfortable with that loader. Let it save your back and you will love it.
Much easier than the excavator - 😀
Great looking machine. I've often found as well that much of the skill in a project is storing the material - and more importantly finding it when you need it!
We are collecting pallets now - I now want a warehouse 🤣
You are sensible not overloading your trailer. Wasn't uncommon with "civilians" that simply refused to accept that I couldn't load them with more material without overloading the trailer. They didn't want to go twice, so they figured overloading the trailer was a better idea 🙆♂🤦♂. Nice mini skid!
Plus here in France, our vehicles are not powerful enough most of the time. So it is difficult to two big machines
Looks like you are pulling that back end apart a lot.
Have you considered using low/no loss connections for the brake lines? Much less rebleeding time 😉
On the car? - I was looking at quick release fittings for sure. Trying to find some affordable ones that will fit. It has been such a pain
@@HomesteadingUncontained it really comes down to what your time is worth.
(And maybe repair time during or just before an event 🤷🏻)
Will you be posting a rendering of what the property is going to look like when it's done?
Yes, we will be working on the new house plans soon.
That mini skid seems so useful. Before I forget, I love the multiple camera edits where there's a scene with one of you that transitions over to the other person at a different location at the same time. Top notch storytelling there. Hope the rally goes well. And you know, even if the car only makes a day or two into the rally, that's something. Just think of every leg the car gets through as a blessing.
Thank you so much - back to normal service very soon after the disappointment of the rally.
Better than I expected. You might consider some small forks that bolt on to the front lip of the bucket to move pallets/lumber.
I do have a set for the tractor.
Just a thought for the future. (the Skidsteer)...if you ever get snow..I mean those odd snows that come every few years that are deep.....get yourself a blade for the front....even the bucket will be handy to push pathways and even an 'in and out' to the road for whatever car you have in the future. It will be handy forever...not just now.
I have a rear 3 pt blade. But we don't seem to get any snow anymore.
@@HomesteadingUncontainedLucky you, drove into town today and my wife reminded me that this time last year and the year before we were snowed in??? just the odd patch of white in the ditches right now.....is Greta Thunberg right after all (I don't think so 🤣.)
Fantastic video!! Hopefully the rally car is all buttoned up and running smooth for you.
Cheers Harry - we wish it was
I bet Julie is over the moon with that skid steer no more hand baling off the trailer.
Well, I have to keep her fit 🤣
It’s probably due to the expert operator but the skid-steer looked pretty impressive!
Of course 😉
Been watching, fun videos. I have a OLD bobcat 371 I got back in 2010, it is a 1977 machine, got home re built it and love it. it is in the garage right now for normal servie, in fact, it will be done and out in a day. keep up the fun stuff, will be watching.
Cheers - we love this machine
Cool, I'm looking forward to the rally car shorts. I hope the correct bell housing plate and seal fixes the leak, I think you got it. Your little skid steer is impressive, very handy and it will save your backs. The trouble with the mini excavators is once the work is out of reach they can't pack enough with them to make the trip worth while, unless you tow a little trailer to bucket into and out of and thats troublesome.
😢 I will post more on the fixing of the car soon. No rally.
A blessed and happy sunday guys! always wondefful to see these videos in my sub box
Thank you so much
I still say that thing is a beast! And a wealth of attachments. I wish I could rent one from a local dealer for jobs around the house, whatever they are. I see you made the company video. Very cool Ian.
It works great and so easy to swap bucket to forks and yes, I am tempted with a few more implements for sure 👍🏻
Good little skidsteer Ian and Julie 😎👍 powerful looking
Really pleased with it
Great work with the skid steer, you were in a very difficult situation going up hill onto a level surface. As with any loader, the usefulness increases greatly if you can raise the bucket or the front of it just enough to get weight transfer onto the tractor increasing your traction. Good luck with the car, from the pictures, it looks like a new seal and the proper plate may make all the difference. Looking forward to hearing of your next adventure.
It was not the easiest first test - but it does feel stable.
The Chicken take over, that would be a Chicken Coupe.
Good one 👍🏻
Good old Ifor Williams trailer.
It is 25 years old and the floor has not been changed yet. it is great.
Good luck in Monte Carlo guys x
hindsight....... we found a specialist guy just up the road. He is coming to help me get it sorted for next time.
with any forklift or digger tracked or wheeled drive on the trailer or up an hill and R down or off a a trailer with the bucket as low to the floor as you can. adrian
Will do - cheers 👍🏻
Looking good
Cheers Billy 👍🏻
You should change the intro narration which still talks about Container Homes. :D Great progress. Love the update on the Rally Cheers from the USA ♥
I know, we will work on something soon
Good luck with car and the Rally Ian I’m in the middle of an engine swap on my classic sports car but I don’t have the room you do which makes it a bit of a struggle but great video as usual have fun
Cheers Robert - it took me a long time to put that car lift in as I had a small scissor lift before and just axle stands before that. But it changes everything and makes working on these old cars so much easier, plus extra storage. Just about to lower the cr back onto the engine.
Would have been quicker to back the trailer in and use the unit to lift the trailer up. But did show of the unit and very nice.
If it didn't have the big ramp, I would have.
Skid steer is the most common item found on us construction sites, and landscaping jobs
It is great for us 👍🏻
been looking for one since some time but used ones are rare and expensive
might end up buying one of these
Cheers nice one
Cheers Billy 👍🏻
Hell9 ian an julie good job it will help out alot better
Cheers Liam - it works great.
For something for Nowt you fell on your feet there, if I comb my hair do you think they will give me one for Nowt ?
haha, I know we can't believe it - although 3 million views for the their excavator videos
Ah, Norman Wisdom get his first work out 🙂
He did not even sweat 😀
I'm jealous of the new toy.. Oh and I also buy stuff for future projects often years in advance then loose track of it... Have fun on the trip. That car really looks like fun. Like driving a go cart around. Our big muscle cars look great and sound great and are nice cruisers but there is allot of fun to be had in a small lightweight car. To me my 66 mustang is a small car and I barely fit in it... head hits the ceiling and the dash is too close to me unless I sit in the back seat... Once it's done it'll be her car not mine...
We can't believe they sent it to us - it works really well 👍🏻
Is there not supposed to be a sacrificial knife-blade at the front of the bucket? the mounting holes are there
Probably, I will look them up - can't complain as it was a gift 😬
How fast will it move?
Goes pretty fast, much faster than the mini digger.
👍💪✌
Merci 👍🏻
dont ruin the trailer guys
I know, I was thinking the same when I was doing it.
