    So the idea is that dirty hands will be touching the soap dispenser and then spreading germs to all other hands that touch it, and this device prevents that. I get it. But it is rendered useless when everyone is also touching the sink faucet handle with their dirty hands and then right after washing, so that their clean hands are then dirty too.

    The spout doesn't overhang enough. Your hand touches the body. You need to be able to dispense the soap in the MIDDLE of your hand, without liability of touching the body. It is also liable to be knocked over. It needs a lead weight on the bottom. Did you test how long the batteries last?
    DOES IT REALLY WORK doe not test the longevity of the device. It is worthless if it doesn't last. Liquid pumps are NOTORIOUS for gumming up & failing soon! It is guaranteed to fail when the batteries leak. THAT WON'T BE LONG!
