      There was a Supreme Court ruling Boise versus someone that municipalities must have shelter beds to match the number of homeless. If not, the homeless can crash anywhere in public. Google homeless and Boise; the ruling may pop up

      I don’t recall seeing that. What the city did do is put fences everywhere and helped move many homeless to other areas. They also had every cop, CHP, secret service, FBI and lord knows who else here. That’s what it took and they were able to pull it off for a week.

    Ridiculous. When the druggie camps and tents were fully blocking sidewalks, the brave city enforcement dept did nothing. But as usual the progs found a way to harass the few remaining normal.people and businesses trying to survive there: create a new rule that these planters need to follow and then fine the businesses. Here's an idea:turn them over and call them homeless pet tents, no fines!

    City of public work should dismiss those homeless advocate complaints and allow these business leave their planters on the street. If they do not like these planters, they can move to Utah , Alaska, or Nevada. San Francisco residents are fed up with these homeless activists and unhoused population- they are destroying this beautiful city and should get kicked out of California for good. No tax paying residents want this BS continue and allow drug addicts camp out on our street. If you do not like it, leave SF and mayor should cut their monthly cash payment down to 0 dollar per month no more free handout

    I agree with this. The public space of the streets and sidewalks are not for privately owned crap and clutter.
    Sidewalks are WALKING, not planting! It seems if you are a homeowner you can park and plant in public space.
    If you are homeless in a tent or RV you have to disappear from public space! Clear the sidewalks of ALL of it!

    This makes me so nuts. I grew up in San Francisco in the 80's. It can be a beautiful city and should be one of the pinnacle cities of our country. Truly a world class place but the leaders are squandering our city letting it lay in ruin.
