Alone in the Dark remake - Part 1 - Welcome to Derceto Manor! (In the 1920s)

Welcome to the Alone in the Dark remake, on the PS5! This is my first introduction to the Alone in the Dark series, aside from watching a playthrough of the awful, yet hilarious, Alone in the Dark: Inferno from 2008. I've never played any of the originals, or the PS1 game. It's all new to me.
I've heard this game has a lot of issues, but I installed the update they provided (and boy, was it hefty!), so hopefully we won't run into any of them while doing the playthrough. Aside from any combat issues, plot inconsistencies, etc, that are just the natural result of the gameplay and the story being told, of course. So, let's get ready for the sweltering Louisiana heat, and an old fashioned survival horror adventure!
My voice is a little low in this video. I hadn't recorded in a long time, and my throat wasn't feeling that well. I may have to tone down the game audio in the future videos, because this game is *loud*! :-O
