  • My gut feeling told me to post this stream of consciousness about aphantasia and the possible benefits related to having no mind's eye... so here we go
These were some videos I watched about it if you're curious:

is it easier to sleep with aphantasia?
I have adhd and it's difficult to sleep if I don't meditate

It might be but I'm not really sure. The research behind aphantasia is still new so maybe we'll have more clear answers in the future. Though I still have an "inner voice" that when I'm stressed can make it hard to sleep with, which is why I sleep with a podcast in the background to help 😁 Maybe meditation would be a better choice!

Research behind aphantasia and the lacking a "mind's eye" is relatively new so I'm sure there will be more concrete answers about it in the future. I'm just sharing my experience ☺️ But currently, it's estimated that only 1% to 4% of the population have aphantasia so it's definitely not the norm.
