    Unfortunately you missed the Princess Leia hair in the thumbnail. Let us know if you would like to see it back one day. To date no one has commented saying they have read this. Prove us wrong!! If anyone ever reads this please Like, Subscribe and Comment with 'nice hair' but don't say anything else... keep them guessing :)

    Good little vid. Tuna barely struggled on that clay hill, such a beast in that environment.

      We went back there a week or so ago to get some footage of the top, unfortunately it was still closed so we didn't get any footage :( but the tracks were much drier. A few little upgrades coming in the next video ;)

    Good on you! Nice little video series you have planned and hopefully will prove popular for you! I have a Dec 2015 GX Fortuner manual and its never let me down. Been to a few good tracks over the years and I hope you enjoy yours. If your paint is in good shape - consider the Bushbarrier (vinyl panels that magnetically stick on) - they are awesome and will protect panels. Used them in the Simpson last year and 5600km trip and stayed on perfectly!

      We will need to look into Bushbarrier, thanks for the tip!

    Got a Like from me.
    Any challenging tracks you could name? We are there this Easter weekend.

      Thanks for the like 😊 There are a heap tracks off the main track (leading to Tallarook, north of Mt Disappointment). These are some of the tracks we saw but didn't have time to explore so we can not comment on the difficulty of them - let us know what you think of them, if you end up on any of them
      Wild Dog Track
      Sailor Jack Track
      Stoney Creek Rd
      Nylanders Spur TK
      Quarry RD and few tracks off it
      The Bump
      Clarkes Tk
      We tend to drive around and randomly choose tracks to see where they lead. Some of these tracks had a very steep descent / ascent (although they might have been closer to Tallarook). We are sure that with a bit of exploration you wont have trouble finding them

    Great video! Also subscribed, what tyre size were the KO2s?

      Hi thanks for the sub and comment (and sorry about the delay in reply). the size is 265/70/r17, basically the largest we could go without modifications. We hope that helps

    Really nice video! Great to find a 4x4 series, made by regular people and isn't full of yahoos.

      Thanks for the feedback, it's great to hear from viewers letting us know we are on the right track with our videos

    Just so you know you can’t drive to the summit only walk so you would have never “driven to the summit” and that part of the mountain is blocked off for the rally cars either

    • @any4wd
      @any4wd  Před rokem

      You are 100% right with not being able to drive up to the summit. We ended up going back to Mt Disappointment a few months after this video to try to drive to the summit again, but only found the summit walk for access. We did the summit walk to discover that there is a gate / track near the top but unfortunately seemed to be for park rangers / government use. Which was disappointing (pardon the pun). We came across a blog where someone had driven and camped up at the top, however, they must have had special access, although they didn't mention this in the article.
      We are not 100% sure where the rally cars were as we could hear them into the night, and the signs said the track was closed due to the rally but would agree with you that it is very unlikely that they would have been up there, so still a little confused why it was closed. Thanks for the comment :)

    Thanks for the video. A question about tyres please? I remember from a previous video you have 265/70/R17s which are about 25mm bigger in diameter than standard. Some CZcamsrs have mentioned slight rubbing on the front mudflap with this size on an unlifted Fortuner. It happened when the steering and suspension were at certain angles over uneven ground. Have you experienced this with the KO2s?

    • @any4wd
      @any4wd  Před rokem +1

      We spoke to our tyre guy before purchasing anything and informed him what we plan to do with the car. Our tyre guy recommended us to get a wheel alignment and he set the tyres / wheels as far forward as possible. Now, even with the car fully loaded we do hear the odd scrape on certain turns (normally when the suspension is fully compressed and we are turning), however this happens so rarely, and last less than a second when it does, that it is a non issue. We were informed this might happen, however will go away once we lift the car.

      @@any4wd Good to hear. Any diameter increase helps in several ways, with traction being the important one. I'm looking forward to your future trips and upgrades.

      Yeah we cut through Tallarook to get to Mt Disappointment, great observation! :)
