The Paul Smart 1000 LE (Limited Edition) was the most sought after version of the Ducati SportClassic line of motorcycles that were released in 2005/2006. This lineup was created to capture the essential beauty, timeless style and emotion of the original Taglioni Ducati sport bikes of the 1970’s while utilizing the latest Ducati engineering to create modern motorcycles that lived up to todays standards of road-going performance.
Inspired by Paul Smart’s 750 Imola Racer, the 2006 PS1000LE utilized specialized suspension components (Ohlins 43mm upside-down forks, Ohlins rear shock and polished aluminum steering damper), historic color scheme (classic metallic silver with sea green frame) and small production quantity (2000 examples produced worldwide) to make it a very sought after rarity.

Terblanche was way before his time !
Seen one in person and sat on it yrs ago here in ohio . Love these bikes!
This is for sure the most impressive Ducati I’ve ever had the chance to ride. I am 6“3 but I fit perfect on the bike and have been much faster on the road then driving a monster s4 ( back in the days). I miss the feeling of this incredible bike
cool colors
That termi looks ideous!!

Long gone.
Nice bike but it doesn't worth $40k. Maybe just put these bikes in the showroom forever.
Got to disagree with your there. They are selling at what the market calls for. Pre-owned bikes, especially limited production bikes are going way up in price.
It just seems wrong to promote this bike just weeks after Paul died in a horrific motorcycle accident. Just a little heartless. Nice bike though.
Patrick that's rough to call us heartless. Pauls death was tragic. We paid our respects to him publicly (our social channels) and privately. We move a lot of inventory and sport classics are in demand. We sold a PS right before his passing and currently have not one but two PS1000LE's in the showroom. These are not crate bikes that our dealership has sat on and waited to sell until now. This is not intentional, its a Ducati dealership posting up bikes for sale.
