A quick what the fault is & what part was needed to fix it video 👍
I received a lot of positive comments in the past when I upload these types of videos (usually due to lack of step by step footage to make them longer)
Because of that and knowing some people will find it helpful I will continue to make these from time to time.
My old skool subs might notice that the first clip around the top of the engine bay is from an old video (used to showcase the type of engine I was working on)
As always, thanks for watching 🙏🙏

I had this problem on my 2009 C200 CDI. It wouldn't run right either side of 2000 rpm and would sometimes go into limp mode when under load. The ESP light would illuminate, it wouldn't rev past 3000 rpm and it would generate the same 3 fault codes (22e3 & 22a5 for the ECM and 6264 for the ESP). If the engine was turned off and restarted the car would run fine until the same conditions were met again to trigger the limp mode, ESP light, limp mode and same 3 fault codes again. The 22e3 code relates to boost pressure and I noticed oil residue on the left intercooler hose which was evidence of a leak. I ordered a new hose from the dealer which was cheaper the some of the aftermarket ones and they had it in stock. The parts guy I dealt with said it is a common problem which is why the part is kept in stock. The problem is sorted and the car pulls cleanly throughout the rev range. Some engine oil does pass through the intercooler so it isn't anything to worry about and it is a great aid to diagnosing leaking/split intercooler hoses.

I now have an oil leak c220 CDI w203. With the oil leak, I also have a load of turbo noise, but no smoke. slightly less power. some say I have a valve cover leak. but after a new air intercooler replacement, all these faults suddenly happened. Cracks in the pipe make more sense, as load sound and oil leak. have to check the turbo pipes before I remove the valve cover.

Always wondered was oil coming from worn rings from turbo or from engine crank case breather system.

    Fantastic video brother 😊 you are a Legend 💪🫡 ,, my W204 c220 cdi same engine 08 , I have a white smoke.
? as my car start have white smoke in first start the when u drive it make white smoke with a very little black smoke some time starts no white smoke until you drive car !? I bought car from woman she served it in Mercedes since she buy it until I have it she told me need take to service as it’s 160,000 last service was 150,000, anyway I don’t know from where to start from the DPF exhaust manifold pressure sensor behind the Air filter, or crankcase Vent breather valve , or PCV valve oil Separator breather,, just let us know know I have no oil leaking at all I searched all around engine are very clean no coolant leaks at all it stay in level, only have little oil around the diesel filter oil around the rubber hoses around it same spot but nothing around the intake manifold at all ?? I’m confused?
    What do you suggest?
    Many thanks

    Thank you for the video
Did you try to repair it? With a soldering iron, you could melt the rubber to seal the small fissure.

Firstly thank you for watching and commenting.
In a professional workshop that would be deemed as very unprofessional.
We must always remember that time is the most valuable thing we have. That goes for all parties involved in the job.
A customer will not want to return to have the job done again and looking at the condition inside of this pipe it would have certainly split again if a repair was done.
When working on our own vehicles we can make a call to try something like that but I would not want to pay any money to a workshop for that type or repair.

    • @WalterWeakley
      @WalterWeakley Před rokem

yes,, that is very unprofessional, on the pressure side one must use completely correct stuff
