  • The American Cancer Society is reporting that colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer deaths in men under the age of 50 and the second among women of the same age. Experts say screening is crucial, especially for Americans with a family history of cancer. NBC News’ Anne Thompson reports on the new data.

      Main reason is sugar and a very meat based diet. A lot of Fast Food and 'Soft Drinks' too.

      Sadly, 80% of cancer is caused by modern lifestyle. It is environmental as well, the toxins/chemicals around us. The food that we consume, even a simple vegetable sometimes there’s a pesticides present. 💔💔💔
      Now, my colleagues under 30 years old are getting diagnosed with Lung, colorectal cancer and Lymphoma. None in their family members were diagnosed of those kind of cancer.

      @@paxundpeace9970 IDK if it is a very meat based diet that has to do with it. Maybe processed meats. The farmed fish are unhealthy. Things like deer are very healthy. Grass feed beef. Things like leefy greens actually are questionable now. Food is packed with chemicals for preservation. Sugar I agree with is huge. We should look at Europe and see if there is a difference. Alot of sugar is banned over there. It causes a ton of inflammation.

      1) Nitrates and nitrites in processed meat.
      2) Fructose in sugary drinks. Yes that even includes juicing. High fructose corn syrup is the worst, but even fruit juice is problematic. It doesn't have the fiber and other natural chemicals to balance the sugar out. Do a Google search: fructose and cancer. There is a lot of emerging evidence for this.

    • @Chad_Max
      @Chad_Max Před měsícem +1

      Sort of. Cancer is caused by DNA damage and most of the plastics are inert so unlikely they're the culprit. The American diet is very low on fiber and high in processed carbs which studies show causes DNA damage in the colon. Drinking and smoking are well known cancer causing lifestyle factors. But there's people who are healthy and active without these factors still getting cancer. You have to look a bit more at trends in the last few decades to understand why this is happening. The chemical that causes the most DNA damage is mercury and its mostly in fish. There's been a huge push away from red meat (which is funny to me since we've consumed red meat for thousands of years and never had issues and no one has a red meat allergy) and towards seafoods in the last several decades. Given that Americans overeat that's a lot of mercury in the body. In contrast the Japanese typically eat sushi once a month or every other month so the amount of mercury getting into their bodies is a lot less. I'm willing to bet that these healthy people getting sick are eating too much seafood and accumulating high concentrations of mercury in their bodies (ie. sushi)...

    Lots of know-it-all comments who don't know anything about the human body. As much as humanity as a whole knows about the human body, it's rarely that easy to pin down a single unilateral culprit. That's why research and the scientific method exist. Although, people want a simple answer so badly, many will desperately search for that uber-culprit until they find something to convince themselves of, even in a total absence of actual evidence.
    Naturally, a _likely_ particular culprit is going to be a matter of the foods we consume because of the nature and present understanding of colon cancer, but definitive answers don't come without studies. That's my theory, and I don't know how accurate it is. It's okay to have theories, but let them be theories. We really really don't need more baseless assumptions presented as facts filling the air. It's healthy to acknowledge that we don't know for sure and practice to be open to other possibilities.

    Besides our diets and lack of fiber and “raw” eating, having worked as a histology tech once upon a time I can tell you they are overworked, understaffed and clinics aren’t paying a fair wage. Moreover, pathologist are not really doing their job properly because the tissue is being dumped in the cassette and not being aligned properly, why? Because the clinic wants to have 300 cases a day and not care about quality but rather quantity and pump as many people through. False negatives and early detection are now a serious norm and it stems from the bottom up. Little things add up.

      There isn't any evidence at all to suggest it would have anything to do with the covid vaccines. It could just as easily be caused by all sorts of things or even a combination of factors. It also doesn't necessarily happen overnight. It could be related to exposure to something over a decade or more. The fact that it's the colon, though, means that you're much more likely to find the culprit(s) in the food people are consuming. That's where research and studies into this will almost surely begin.
