Karen Read Smiles as Defense Rips Apart Commonwealth: ‘They Failed Miserably!’

- After a judge declared a mistrial in Karen Read’s case, her defense team made a brief statement outside of the courthouse. Attorneys Alan Jackson and David Yannetti slammed the Commonwealth stating it “failed miserably” and commended Read’s “strength and courage” throughout the trial.

Karen Read faced several charges including second-degree murder, manslaughter while operating under the influence of alcohol, and leaving the scene of personal injury and death. She was arrested in February of 2022, a few days after John O’Keefe died.

There may have been shenanigans on their phones etc. Related to other crap. Nothing to do with miss ididit. Two things going on and Defense tried to incorporate. But she DID it. Really. She told us herself. Plow truck was her second idea. After she admitted it. The cop fiasco is unrelated. Another issue. Does not exonerate her guilt.

I don’t know what happened but there is so much reasonable doubt - conflicts in the investigation, expert testimony saying no car hit, say he was hit T 12:45 but she was at her at 12:36…..

I was also pretty sure that this was going to be some smoke and mirrors. I was correct but it came from not the defense but completely from the prosecution's side. My thoughts on deep rooted corruption changed today. Stay safe out there everyone, and please stay out of Massachusetts.

I’m so sad for John O’Keefe’s family. To sit and hear and see the very poor investigation that took place and to hear about the injuries to John is heartbreaking. The Prosecution and the police have failed miserably in bringing the people involved in his death to justice. The proper people need to be held accountable, whether they are police or not, this is about murder and taking the life of another person. My heart is with John’s family and the tremendous heartbreak that this has been for them. ❤❤

@Michbeachlover well I don't love Karen because I don't really know her but I listen to all the evidence twice especially proctor's testimony definitely something not right about his whole situation and him doing the investigation on Karen. There was a conflict of interest on his part and the way he talked about her text messages and the way he told his sister everything who ran and told Julie the investigation for the murder of John O'Keefe was done wrong and that's not Karen's fault. Everything looks suspicious which means there's definitely reasonable doubt

It’s called a jury of your peers and the U.S. legal system which includes a prosecution and a defense. Sloppy police work, when uncovered, showed the corruption that goes on behind closed doors. So many of you are brainwashed that if somebody is accused, then you’re automatically guilty.
