You miscalculated your figures. CFA reserves account for 500 billion euros annually in Paris' treasury.
Another miscalculation: Africans aren't afraid of Nigeria. Most Nigerians don't fully understand the threat that is France, they don't even know that much of what they are fighting as boko haram are actually French sponsored insurgents.

A suggestion: A critical issue facing the African continent now is the growing influence and involvement of China. I have yet to find many Africans speaking out about this and it does Africa no good to allow only Westerners to be the voices heard calling for African caution with Chinese entanglements. Perhaps you would be a good person to take an objective view in a series of videos on China-in-Africa.
Are we looking at a future China-Afrique? Is there a danger of a new Cold War with new African proxies? Is China using old colonial strategies such as debt traps? Is China interested in nation building, market building, resource extraction, or does it represent something new? Would China support authoritarian leaders in Africa even if they abuse human rights, engage in genocide, corruption?
I have my own answers to these questions, but it's African answers that need to be heard far more.

From your perspective, these are not good odds at all. So it's a choice between French dominated economic union or Nigerian dominated economic union? Yeah I'd stick with France if it means handing over my country's economic policy to Nigeria. The CFRANCS, just need to band together and demand for a renegotiation with France to considerably tilt the scales in their favor. Maybe start by nationalizing those precious mineral resources.

I’m Nigerian, and although I think that the French currency should be changed, I don’t think everyone should change their currency to the eco. The economic climates of West African countries are too different to estimate a value of this eco currency, and it isn’t going to cause many issues.
Another thing that makes me uneasy is how the French. If the French have so much influence as this video entails, then changing the currency is only covering the problem up for a while, not solving it entirely. I’m going to do some more research as I’ve just been introduced to this topic, but this idea just makes me so uneasy for some reason.

I do not think West Africans should be worried about any French political response.
      1. Europeans, with rare exception, are rather convinced that the mistakes of their nations' past imperialism are regretable. There is even a certain amount of guilt in some sectors, particularly on the political left. The French people do not actively support imperialism.
      2. The economic gains to France from its West African ties are not insignificant, but France also throws lots of money back towards Africa in the form of aid and development funds - quite a bit of which, I understand, has been squandered by certain corrupt leaders in certain nations over the years. This means that political support for maintaining those economic ties is probably quite weak.
      3. France is presently confronting two major crises and will be for quite some time into the future. They are: (a) The rise of a far-right nationalist movement which does not have a majority but has more power than ever before - a movement that is fiercely anti-Islam and often anti-immigrant, and (b) the crisis to European security that a much more aggressive Russia now poses to the continent. In short, France is too busy to worry about any nostalgia for "la France Afrique" right now. In fact, maybe it would be easier for them to cut all remaining ties and obligations.

This is my take, No matter the "consequences" it is long overdue that we relieve ourselves from French and all foreign financial strangulation. I live in the US and serve in the US Army. A while ago one of my colonels was talking to us and said the US doesn't get involve in Nigeria and Africa's wars and conflicts because "What does Africa bring to the Table?". I was so offended by that and stopped him right there. I pulled up statistics of all the countries that feed off of Africa and everything they take out from oil to gold, diamond and all sorts of natural minerals that sustains their engineering, medical and pharmaceutical industries. I gave them a historical lesson of our decades of continental exploitation and manipulation and told them a younger generation of African are coming and will change that. By the time I was done you could hear a pin drop if it did. They were all silent. My last sentence was "Africa doesn't have to bring anything to the table, Africa IS THE FUCKING TABLE"!!

While im still studying economics, i can tell you two big problems: 1)Because of the large spread of different performing economies(example, burkina faso vs nigeria), there would be strict polices to limit gov't spending in poorer countries, which would prevent them from growing as the other countries in union. 2) Like europe, there would be a centralized committee to oversee every countries central bank, where bureaucrats and elites would dictate the rules being set.
The end of the old currency is a good thing and there is a real chance these countries would trade more, leading to many countries having stronger economies and connections. They could raise the bar for the whole region, but as these countries are notorious for self-serving "civil servants", the risk of corruption is high as well.
Only time will tell if they benefit, which i hope. Africa must rebuild from within

Rather France seeks to position itself favourably in the new arrangement. Nigeria, in particular, will never sign a semblance of the Franc-Afrique which francophone countries have. And if Nigeria backs out, Ghana will follow. Eco is a positive development, primarily because of the involvement of the powerful anglophone countries involve. But if it's still set up to suck the hell out of Nigerian's, I don't won't it to work. because we Nigerian's have surffard enough for this African project that has worked against us from the start. there should be a garantee for Nigerian's in some way, or they should go it alone we Nigerian's don't have anything to lose, but they do because we are already an independent country, with are own strong monetary system and don't forget that as it is right now they already pay more in every way to France for keeping their money with then out of their own wishes because of the dumb deal they made with France I don't get it who where the people that made such deal with France they're supposed to be in jail right now all of then that got this most stupid deal on this planet put together. that u can keep money with another country while ur country go hungry and no interest comes with it and still they find it hard to get out from such deal, I don't know what goes in the brain of this so called french colonies? If Nigeria don't go into the same monetary union with them I think is better for Nigeria because as it is right now we already pay 70% of the coast around here, think about what it will look like when we're in the same monetary union with them? we Nigerian's are going to pay for the decades of the economic vandalism the French brought them, that is to say we always clean up there mess.,.. from my understanding this is a wrong deal for Nigeria to enter into with this countries Nigeria government needs a very good study's before u put Nigerian's in this problems we can't bring are self out from please.

Sure, it might feel weird but there's no chance of hyper inflation, embezzling or other mismanagement. If the ECO works out it'll be great but there's a very real chance it'll fail and drag every member nation's economy with it.

That's what I'm waiting for then after that I want to see more women involved in politics not just men I want to see their laws changed towards women because women don't have no rights in certain parts of Africa and that's the only thing that keeps me from wanting to move to Africa I'll visit but I'm not going to move until I got rights and protection because I don't want no man to have no power over my body and do whatever he wants to do the things that they're trying to do here in the United States that I will not stand for

I don't think that possible, the division of culture, relegion, language and tradition is to big.
The reason it work for the USA is because it start from a melting pot of Europeen culture and was a natural evolution .
At minimum a division for religion I could, 2 country:
      - a muslim north
      - a christian south.
