- Heron's formula is very useful to calculate the area of a triangle whose sides are given. This video is for all of you who come to my channel to find proofs of formulae.
Years of geometry, trig, algebra, calculus, diff eqns, and linear algebra, and I guess I never learned Heron's formula! How ever did I miss this? Very handy, especially in things like surveying where the triangles are usually not right triangles, the side lengths are the easiest measurements to make, and area is often the item of interest.
Sir if you know application please make very short u tube video related to it..it would help students in understanding practical applications...😊👍thanks🙏
Respect for Heron!

Awesome teacher , who corroborated every aspect in simple and decent manner
Awesome! This teacher is a real mathematician!
This is an excellent, clear, presentation! Bravo!
Herons formula derived excellently by Maam ji. v v vgood
Awesome vid, loved it
Yes it is second time I got necessary explanation. Heron's formula is used by students in 8th standard and Phythogourous farmula in 9th standard and proof is done in 10th standard. Thanks.
Hg
No Pythagoras is used in 8th standard and heron's formula is used in 9th standard.

Very very thanks....🙏🙏🙏
Outstanding
How did u just do that😳 u are awesome 👏👏
Wow ! amazing !
Thankyou for the derivation 🙏🙏🙏

Thanks you mam I have no any word to thanking you
Great.... Derivation.. And simple... Everyone can understand..... Thank you miss/madam
Thank you ma'am, ur video helped me so much for my project .
Your explanation was really simple for me to understand. Thanks ma'am!
Thank you Mam.
good one
It was good😃.. Than you

Nice explanation mam thank you
Thanks
Good luck on with the way the day and time works best for you guys
Thank u mam you are a mathematician
Excellent solution . Thanks
Really it is very good and easily understanding method
Going otherwise to take the hero's farmula and proofing A=1/2 a.b or proofing A= 1/2 a.b Sin ♡. That would be facinating.
Excellent explanation mam thank you for this video mam
Literally you explained it extremely nice!!!!!
👌👍👍👍👍👍
I had used this formula extensively while in school..some 20 plus years hence I had to explain it to my son and I had no clue how it's derived...thanks for the vdo

The proof is nice and neat, your voice is clear and pleasant, it's just a shame that you can't read the sloppy handwriting.
The letters are getting smaller and smaller, the dividing line is crooked, the brackets are crooked, unpleasant to watch.
A math teacher must write in clean and clear letters.
It could be an excellent channel, but the terrible handwriting spoils everything.
Anyway, big LIKE👍❤️ to the effort and the nice proof. With hope that you will improve your handwriting.
Thnku mam.. soo effectively taught.. please use light clr on board as much as possible.. we are unable to see sometimes
Mam I have a doubt that the Pythagorean theorem is H2= P2+B2 so how you can write in triangle ABD as H2=c2 - d2
thats just rearrangement of terms
yes
You should see video again and again.
@MathsSmart Pls reply. What is proof of Pythagorean theorms m
bc=ah h²=d(a-d)
Find the are of triangle two are equal and one side are. 6
MC very simple hs
watch till 3 min then pproofed ny own
When h² = b²+p² , how did you write h² = c² - d² ?
In first h² 'h' is Hypotenuse of triangle and in second 'h' it is height of triangle
A se A kat gya bol dena tha mam koi baat ni chalta hai itna to 8:46
Wow
Derived the formula when I was 11, couldn't make it as pretty as Heron tho
Just one doubt mam from where did this s=(a+b+c)/2 came ?
I also want to know
It's the semi perimeter , means that the perimeter of the triangle divided by 2
@@pranavmundhra4519 thanks DUSU but I have clear it...😊😊😊
Sorry dude*dusu
Its just an assumption to ease the calculation, you can avoid taking s
But you will end up lengthy formula.... Chill bro
Without drawing any perpendicular can't this statement can be proved?
use law of cosines
I'm also teaches
You also teaches??!!! hahaha
Learn grammar then teach
any mallus
Why so less views
good h
Because no one cares about proof until its given in book😂😂
That's reality
All of a sudden, you introduced "s=(a+b+c)/2". How and why?
This could have done with a better explanation, but I'm almost certain it comes from knowing the final solution.
if you were to go through the process without s and just use (a+b+c)/2 instead you would realize the recurring value and likely assign it to a variable such as s to make it easier to read.
s is the semiperimeter which is the perimeter a+b+c divided by 2. It is the perimeter divided by 2.
@@josephmalone253 The question was not of what it is, but how they knew how to define it.
@@thezen9 how did they know how to define it?
@@josephmalone253 In the video it's likely because it had been solved long beforehand and they likely had a proof for it on hand.
Originally it was likely first simplified without s, and the repetition of (a+b+c)/2 was noticed and then s was defined as this value to make it cleaner and more readable/useable.
Derivation means we should not use terms of herons formula like s=a+b+c÷2 in the middle of derivation
(a+b+c)/2 can be taken as an unknown s. This is incorporated into the formula
Very fast
