Are there any actual antennas in those two bits, many of the Wi-Fi low cost drones have fake ones. Not an impressive camera sadly as that's their only real usage. Prefer My FIMI X8 mini - video is way better!
I had a very similar remote and after opening I noticed that inside is absolutely nothing!
All of those drones have 720-1080 resolution upscaled to 4K files :-/
Only the left antenna actually had a wire in it

As an owner of a DJI Mini 2, I can't help but think this 720 is very poor value for money. The Mini 2 has Occusync which is massively better than wi-fi, along with a proper 2.4Ghz control link that will go further than you really should. It has a 4K camera that looks like 4K, three batteries that charge at reasonable speed and offer circa 25 mins each, a decent gimbal, a remote that not only has it's own battery but can act as a power bank and more. Crucially, it's sub 250g so can be flown anywhere apart from controlled airspace or over a crowd whereas the 720 is only legal in remote areas. You didn't mention much about GPS but the Mini 2 uses GPS+GLONASS+GALILEO along with a great database that will stop it accidentally being flown into controlled airspace. All this is £550 as the 'fly more'. Compared to £300 for the 720, I really think it's no contest. I'd say if somebody only has £300 and can't afford the Mini 2, they'd be better off waiting and saving the difference, buying a used Mini 2 etc. Buy cheap, buy twice ...
@Retset- My 700E just arrived today and i am starting to wonder about this. I understand it's supposed to be a starter, and I suppose that also means you do not want to smash something too expensive. The drone itself seems pretty well built, but I am not so sure about the remote which also wont hold my iPhone 12 Max (maybe DJI wont either.). I do feel concern about the remote long term. I agree with this very good review about the camera. It is lackluster. I will say this to its credit. It did survive some rough landings with only scratches on the props and they give you 8. The drone itself (knock on wood) seems protected well with rubber feet on the skids and the bendable props which seem to have resilience. In the back oof my mind, I am wondering if I should goto best buy and get the Mavic 2 Mini for $500.00 which is about $210 more than the 700e.
I have both drones and the Holystone is very poor and dangerous to fly. The mini 2 is a dream to fly. The 720e is a nightmare. I use the case for my mini2. Have not flown the 720e since last April.
@@1961Duane314 I agree, sometimes it does not respond to commands and distance sucks. Its a shame cause camera is pretty good and it is sólid done.
Exactly, the mini se is also another great drone. It uses wifi but the connection is really good and it can fly quite far

Lee, I wonder if you used a hobby grade charger and modified the connection would allow for faster charging?
Possibly. I would have expected a better charging option in the kit..
Is there any way to fix the follow-me camera positioning adjustments? There has to be some type of smooth setpoint option.
Maybe in post. For smooth video you need a gimbal. Reviews of other drones in this price point coming soon...

Hi, thanks for the video. I have got the same model holystone hs 720e after watching your review. There is one problem that I am unable to resolve. It flies nicely, I do turning, rotation camera head, up and down. But after some time it starts spinning and goes out control. The batteries have 2 bars, I did GPS calibration, gyroscope calibration, there are more than 10 GPS signal but then it is really difficult to land it. It goes around in circle and drifts. It is happening on some flights. It works fine for 10-12 minutes then problem starts. Have you experienced this or any suggestion please?
I've not had that here. You've done all of the things we can do as pilots.. I hope you get it working..

i just bought this thing at a store called cool bins (they buy amazon returns and stuff and sell them at a huge discount.) for $7 US. Yes thats SEVEN dollars. brand new. still in shrink wrap.
I was thinking about selling it as I had a terrible time setting it up. And the manual disintegrated in my hand, the pages are not glued together right. I looked up the drone and ran into this video. I ignored the open field suggestion and sliced my finger open when I jumped in front of it to keep it from flying into my snake enclosure. LOL.
I had this drone for a year now, I have tried to get near the distance they claim and there is no way I could get more than 200 metyers 670 feet, it sucks on distance! They claim 900 metters, no way to get that, not even on an open field, I called HS customer service Nd they give me all kind of excuses, telling me I need to calibrate it (like if I didnt know how to calibrate a drone) I told them I do everything and to no avail, 500 meters?? Yeah right. Then they told me to try the Ophelia App and same thing. I should have gotten a DJI mini 2, for a little more. I guess I will have to spend more money now and get the mini...

I start using it at a short distance a few feet and after a few commands it starts to go crazy, it doesn't obey my commands or if I put it to go forward it starts to go to the side and after a few more seconds it just starts to fly until it hits an obstacle, what could it be?
Check that it isn't in beginner mode. That was the issue I had here with it.. Happy flying

Does anyone know why I can't connect HS720E when my friend is flying next to me with his HS700E ? when I try to connect, my phone only see's the HS700E and not my HS720E until he disconnects his. In other words, we can't fly both next to each other at the sametime.

They’re both different drones on different frequencies. Pretty sure you should be able to fly your drone with him you pick on your own Wi-Fi on your own drone it should be logged into your drone then go up First then let him set up and go u shud be fine I had 2 Contixo f35. Flying side by side same drone let me know if that works ❤
I got one of these drones. It wouldn't stabilize flight and was shifting all around the area in a 5 meter radius. Called the company and they said send the unit back and buy another. Hopefully the next will be better. Just got the batteries charged so hopeful.
As with all models that use a GSM and compass for navigation and position hold, a good compass calibration is essential. Best of luck
@@Painless360 yeah I followed the steps in the manual as well as watched several videos on setup and operation. I think it was the remote as it was mostly unresponsive to movement of the controls. I had 14 satellites connected so no issue there. Haven't had a chance to fly the new one yet.
Got 2 of these 720es first one l bought did the same things as yours,contacted HS and they sent me a new one. It did the same thing ,very bad toilet bowl effect ,same batch number on both drones Hovers good with gps switch in the off position, it will still show satelites even in the off positio,but seems to fly alright. Check batch number HS 720E B-EU 210624 l am sure there are more people out ther with the the same issue.
£300....... Absolutely no chance for such poor all round performance.
A DJI mini SE at around the same price is much much better than that flying brick!
Exactly what I was thinking.
I been looking to get started with a new Drone as a hobby and don't want something cheap that don't take good videos.
The Mini SE looks like my best option. Nothing compares to it in this price range.
Also I think this one is 1000 meter range only.
Mavic Mini from Ebay $220 is even light years better than this

Have this drone, I would get a mini 2 or a mini 3 before buying this. The distance Is horrible and the video is hard with the lack of gimbal

@@Painless360 actually this one yes, but I read the reviews at Amazon searched CZcams. Etc. everyone had decent reviews and at the time I didn’t know what I was looking for. I do think this is a great drone to use to learn with and really goo if your just looking to have a drone to fly around and grab some cool pics of places
you'd be better off buying a hubsan 501 , does everything that does at a fraction of the cost and the range is much better

RTH is way off and it can't GPS hold even in no wind. Quite a wanderer. Just get a dji mini, you can afford the difference and can't afford the inferior quality.
How off is the Rth, like a few metres?
Yeh, i'm sure youtube compression makes it look worse, but this camera quality looks AWFUL! A decade behind. Pretty pointless on an aerial photography drone :') For anyone thinking about it, it should be obvious - don't buy this product haha.

I'd spend the money on a 2nd hand mavic or a DJI Mini 2.
