  • Hi fellow dog lover!🐶 My dog Billie had so many behavior problems… she was jumping, peeing inappropriately, overly aggressive, pulling on the leash… she was just crazy…🤪 Then I found this one solution that stopped all the problems!🙌 The sad fact was…The training I first tried with my dog was a complete fai...lure.😔 I went through the average cookie-cutter training programs. These programs used outdated and ‘mean’ dominance techniques. It turns out those programs had no qualifications and were developed by complete phonies.😱 So this is what I did to stop my dog’s behavior problems... In a few simple words… I discovered my dog’s hidden intelligence!🧠
    Let me explain… In my years as a dog owner…this is the one big lesson I have learned. More intelligent dogs are better behaved.👍 A more intelligent dog takes commands easier…and understands what you need from them. What I found out was… No matter how clever I thought my dog was. I could still unlock my dog’s hidden intelligence quickly and easily!😄 Don’t waste a second longer putting up with your dog's behavior problem! I’ll explain everything you need to know in the link!😁

    Basenji Dog Breed Guide | Dogs 101 - Basenji Puppies to Adults
    Stubbornness is uncommon to most dogs. Most of them have strong prey drives that allows them to chase, to walk, and run. But there are a few who are as stubborn as a potato. One of which is the Basenji. Well, these dogs can still follow orders, but they are difficult to train. They are independent-minded. The Basenji will take its time to decide if it will follow your commands. If he wants, that’s the only time he’ll follow you.
    Look at it from the bright side! These dogs make outstanding apartment dogs. They love to lay down, watch, and eat. These creatures may be lazy at times, but they are highly intelligent. Can you imagine a dog with a combination of stubbornness and intelligence? You might have a lot of face-palm moments but they are all guaranteed to be memorable. If you love dogs who can share these moments with you, then the Basenji is for you. But these are not the only things that make them unique.
    Today, let's look into one of the most stubborn dogs-the Basenji. Are you capable of caring for this breed? Tune in to find out.
    The Basenji are known for their light build and swift gait. They have hind legs that appear longer than their torso. These creatures have a muzzle that is shorter than their skull. Their eyes are almond-shaped that come in dark hazel to dark brown. The Basenji has a wrinkly face which maintains their thoughtful and worried emotion. These creatures have short and wiry coats that come in white, brindle, tan, and black. Despite what people think, these creatures are graceful. Instead of barking, they yodel to express emotions.

    So called dog experts always say Basenjis are one of the dumbest breeds, but they equate obedience with intelligence which are mutually exclusive traits. My Basenji was not stubborn or lazy and she was empathetic when I would retreat to my room after getting scolded by my parents, She came to comfort me. The look in her eyes was one of sadness and understanding. They get cold easily and do not like to be in the rain. She did not mind us when we told her to go home, especially when the family piled in the car and left the house. If she was outside she would chase the car and keep up behind us at 25mph no problem. Then of course we had to let her in cause we were out of the neighborhood and in traffic. She did know how to get her way. Best Dog ever.

      Hey, genius. It is clear what she meant. Westerners became aware of them when they found them in Congo. Of course they were bred by African peoples long before westerners got there. Anyone with half a brain can get that.

    The Basenji only comes into season once a year , they also like resting on the lower limbs of trees . Both features are residual of their fairly recent wild past.

    They also come in the colors of blue tri, blue and cream and also blue brindle. I owned a blue tri color female and she was a very loving sweet kind and gentle dog. She was also very protective of her owners. You could never ask for a more perfect dog than a basenji
    I have also owned a red and white basenji male that was her puppy and he was such an exceptional dog also they are the greatest breed to as far as I am concerned!

    I had a Basenji that had another genetic disease called Fanconi. If breeder is reputable most of them will get a test done on parents or puppies when they are born. I have had 4 and thay are definitely not lazy, stubborn yes and very smart. Love the breed but the definitely take some getting used to.😃

    • @GoDaveGo
      @GoDaveGo Před 2 lety

      @@laithsu I lived in an apartment when I got mine, and without my wife there, it would have been tough. If we left the pup in a crate, she would get nervous and poop all over it. We’d have to wash her and the crate when we got home. She never got used to it. Now I have a backyard, and that helps a lot. I leave her and the male back there when we leave for work, or in the house if I’m gone for an hour or two. The basenjis are much more manageable if I can go to a secluded spot and let them run off leash. After 45 min, the female is about done, but the male takes far fewer breaks and goes for an hour or more. I try to do that every day, but other obligations make it hard to do. I can’t imagine meeting their needs via walks or on-leash running.

    many working and hunting breeds were bred to be somewhat autonomous and able to make their own decisions on the fly in complex and potentially dangerous situations. To call a breed 'Stubborn' isn't a fair or accurate description of the breed's traits. When hunting a lion or vicious badger for instance it behooves a dog to be able to act independently from your direct observation and command
