I'm 41 and my better half will be 40 soon. We just started getting into camping, hiking, and soon canoeing. We live in Nashville but will be moving to Houston for a few years and then to the Minneapolis area. We are very excited about visiting the Boundary Waters. Absolutely gorgeous! Cheers!

With a walleye dinner. And great company. What more can one ask for. Thank you AA1PR for watching. I really appreciate it.

    Mmmmmmm!
My favorite thing about the BWCA is how concerns and worries from city life are left behind in the canoe wake and paddle swirls, and of course the big smallies. We call them "pigs with fins!"

On this trip. I had the Superior Gear Superior hammock. With it's built in under quilt. No worries on having to adjust the under quilt when you get in and out of the hammock. Maybe I am getting lazy in my latter years. The last trip I had the Dream Hammock Sparrow. Those are my two favorite hammocks.. But i do really like the Warbonnet RidgeRunner on those hot summer days. Thank you MrLaventurier for watching. I really do appreciate it.

When you said that about the “Native Americans” using the same portages it set me to thinking, about how did they deal with the bug problem’s? I’d assume that as inventive as they were, they used some plant based repellent other than just trudging through them. Interesting that I’ve never heard of that aspect of their life before!!!! Thanks Marine!!!!

They would use sweetgrass. Some wore braids of it around they neck and head piece. Mud rub on you will help. But not as effective as Sweetgrass. Thank you Terry so much for watching. I always appreciate it.
