They are quite different than BabyMetal. BAND-MAID is a real band in a sense that they got together on their own, they write music, compose, arrange, write lyrics and play their own instruments and everything.
The founder of the band Miku Kobato (rythme guitarist/backup vocal) is the one who had the idea of wearing maid outfits since she used to work in a Maid café before (they are some sort of theme cafés that are very famous and can be found in a very famous district in Tokyo). She always wanted to form a hard rock cool band, so she looked for members and that's how she formed Band-Maid.

Band-Maid is not a casted band... They are real friends, playing the instruments on their own, they are composing their songs on their own and are REAL rockladies. The only similiarity with Babymetal is that they are from Japan and thatÂŽs it. Different genre, different type of style and different structure (one is crafted by an label, the other isnÂŽt)...
DoesnÂŽt mean one is better or worse, but please no comparsions or some people can get mad about it, because they are tired of it, just saying it in advance.
Otherwise: Band-Maid is a fantastic group and is the only group since 15-20 years that caught me offguard, turned me into an absolute fan and made me enjoy music on different levels again.
Awesome music, great characters, very talented and totally loving their fans. A real bunch of friends that is enjoying what they are doing and doing it BIG TIME! Greetings from Germany
P.S.: You can hear EVERY song, there are no bad songs (not kidding), but LIVE you should watch Freedom, Choose me or Onset...

well . technically speaking Band-maid is a casted band. the band was totally made up around that concept of girl with maid outfit playing rock music. except that it is not a label that initiate the idea. it all began in the crazy mind of Miku Kobato. also at the very beginning the music was heavily controlled by some producers. but they quickly proved that their are much better writing their own music.

    • @Slippy6582
      @Slippy6582 Pƙed 3 lety +5

@@ZHSCP47 Hey Dunefellow... Yes, but itÂŽs a difference for me if there is an castingshow etc. from an label or tvshow etc. and a private person who is reaching out to an agency to find other people, so for me they are not "casted", she just hired or asked an agency to help her. Happy new year! And some of them knew each other before and were also friends (even best friends). So for me itÂŽs not a casted band, they found each other :)

So how did they get Saiki, who happened to be signed with their label? Even their Wiki page says that they recruited Saiki after holding auditions, and they didn't know her. Music business in Japan is what it is, and if bands want to be promoted, they have to work within that system. There's nothing wrong with that.
I love Band-Maid, but you shouldn't need to criticize BABYMETAL to promote them. They are great enough to stand on their own right.
BTW, Babymetal wasn't really casted. Koba saw/heard Su and decided to build a project around her talent. Without Su, there was no project.

Saiki wasn't very keen on the idea, so Miku deicided to do it, so she went all inn 100% and has spent hours each day perfecting her rythmguitar skills. All under supervision of Kanami Tono, who during the first albums did lay both lead and rythm, but i believe she has let Miku get more responibility on the last 3?

As a musician of 56 plus years I believe Band-Maid is more of a progressive rock band IMO. I have been listening to them since 2014 and every song has different genre's of music style in them. The lead guitarist Kanami Tono writes and composes 95% of their music. Miku Kobato the rhythm guitar player writes the lyrics for the majority of the songs. The song "the dragon cries" was produced by another fan of theirs Tony Visconti of David Bowie and T-Rex fame. He met them when they toured the United States in New York. Also somewhere either on Twitter and Instagram there is a picture of Jimmy Page with Akane the drummer. He saw them in concert in Japan and he thought she was amazing and wanted to meet her and take a picture with her. These five beautiful women are the real deal, incredible musicians. Their supposed to perform at Budokan in February as long as the virus doesn't stop it. Their new song "Different" was written for the opening song for the anime "Log Horizon" the 3rd season. Liked your reaction👍👍

I'm a 49 year old metalhead who cut his teeth on 80s thrash and NWOBHM bands. Not since Pantera has a band grabbed me by the throat and the soul like Band Maid. They are, by a country mile, my favorite current band. They are the only band I've ever gotten on a plane for and the only band I've lined up before dawn so I could be on the rail. I also moderate a fan page on Facebook so ya, I have a problem...lol. Explore them more and you will be hooked.
The maid outfits are based on the "maid cafe" concept in Japan. The rhythm guitarist/second vocals worked at a maid cafe in Tokyo and wanted to combine the maid cafe concept with a rock band. The idea was the juxtaposition of the look and the sound and they nailed it. They have gotten progressively harder and diverse over the years and that mainly comes from them getting full control over the song writing. Initially, they label wrote the songs for them but that changed in 2016. They are absolute BEASTS live so those are almost always a winner when it comes to reacting but that isn't to say the MVs aren't good. They just don't have the flavor and energy of a live video.
Suggestions: Freedom is a good next one and is from the same live show as Domination. I won't spoil it for you but there is a "surprise" in there. "Play" live is also a really good one as well. There is some really stellar noodling around between the bass rhthym and lead guitar in that one (the first minute isn't even apart of the official song). Honestly, you aren't going to go wrong with anything from their official channel (maybe glide past Start Over) and they aren't claim happy like some of the "other Japanese groups" so stick to official stuff and you will be fine.

Rinne (MV) is one of their heavist songs
    Onset (live) instrumental piece
Dice my favourite one for that bass part
and Thrill is their first MV, that made them famous. Its not great as newer ones but still good, and you can see their progress.

... down the pigeonhole with you now....
Once upon a time in Japan....
Miku (Who is a 300+ year old pigeon... long story) was in a short lived "idol" band in Japan and ended up working in a "Maid Cafe". She came up with idea to create a rocking band in maid costumes. A "Gap" as its called in appearance to action.
Miku found singer/songwriter Kaname (Lead Guitar and main Composer), who knew Akane - AKA "The Gorilla - she likes bananas a lot! (drums - Jazz and Classically Trained), who knew Misa - AKA the "Barefoot Assassin" (Bass, Jazz and Classically trained).
[Grab a post-it now and paste to your desk - Miku (B/U and Rhythm,) Kaname (Lead) Akane (Drums) Misu (Bass) Saiki (Vocals)]
    Putting it together...
It became apparent Mikus voice wasn't really suited to the style and so they decided to go find Lead Vocals and brought in Saiki. This basically put Miku out of a job in the band she created, but instead she adapted and Kaname started teaching her guitar. That's right. She couldn't even play in the first video they did 6 years ago.
Now she has a 70-80s style aggressive punk style attack on rhythm and Kaname is constantly expanding her guitar parts in challenging ways. All while singing backup.
Personally, I never could sing and play ha-ha
Their first actual song they wrote and recorded was "Alone". They have changed label since and have joined a new one now for the new album going into 2021.
Their look, songs, style etc. are their own. Not studio directed.
    Pretty cool these days.
Note: Miku is the main lyricist and writes in heavy metaphors that can be interpreted many ways and often confusing in translation. So, they often add parts that audiences of any language can sing along.

Welcome aboard, NJ. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 95 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:

BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (over a 100 songs with their latest album, “Conqueror”, and a new drop coming Jan. ‘21), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular.
Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: czcams.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/video.html Their later songs drive even more - Different, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming
 or funky like Bubble
or bluesy like The Dragon Cries
 or poppy like Start Over
or a bit jazzy like Wonderland
or cultural like the Band-Maiko series
or instrumentals like Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. czcams.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” czcams.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/video.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: czcams.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/video.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: czcams.com/video/4uIYBkAybCI/video.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: czcams.com/video/usWZvlGGDSs/video.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 29 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no
 KURRUPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Naw-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 29 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 30 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Assassin" - Bass, 28 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it
every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin

BAND-MAID does use some english in their songs. Check out Play Live. Freedom is pretty good, theres a good drum solo. Their newest song they dropped is different, but they only have a MV posted. Checkout the blooming MV. You can check out Onset if you want an amazing instrumental. The MV for bubble is also really good!
One of their most masterpieces of a song is puzzle. The lead guitarist is basically non stop shredding the whole song. The composition of the song is an absolute masterpiece. In my opinion the song really showcases what BAND-MAID is capable of. Seeing them perform it live is always nice too because they put on a hell of a live performance. The song is hard to find on YT but ill drop a link for a pro shot live version for it below:

Welcome to the world of Band-Maid. You just witnessed the most talented group of ladies in the rock scene. Band-Maid is a hard rock band with some metal influences. Their music is reminiscent of the 80's/90's rock. They are phenomenal. They write and compose all their songs (besides the early albums). They have over 90+ songs in their Discography right now. if you are blown away with this song, then you will not be disappointed the rest of their songs. Since you like live performance, I highly suggest listening to "Freedom" and "Play" in the same concert. "Onset" live performed in 2018 is an amazing instrumental. Great reaction and looking forward for more of Band-Maid

Miku Kobato (Rhythm guitar/2nd vocals) was working at a maid cafe and wanted to form a band. She started as the vocalist, but the group decided she didn't have the voice to match the type of music they wanted. They auditioned Saiki for lead vocals, and the group convinced Miku to start learning guitar instead of being only backing vocals.
For their first gig as 5 Saiki asked what she should wear, and the group told her they had something and that it was "cute." The band was worried she might back out if she knew ahead of times that they were dressing as maids. Saiki only learned back stage before they went on.
Saiki in a later interview said she might of backed out if she had known they were going to wear maid costumes. Seeing the amount of fun they have playing together I think everyone is happy with how it turned out.

Babymetal came about when an established heavy metal instrumental band decided to go to the infamous Sakura Gakuin school for talented young females and grab up some vocalists, mixing heavy metal with J-pop.
Kami Band (original all-metal instrumental band): czcams.com/video/pYjHD7YHqDE/video.html
    Sakura Gakuin: czcams.com/video/ch_97ZR6P4M/video.html
Band Maid came together when the current rhythm guitarist decided to form a band, recruiting everybody, one at a time and putting the pieces together. She was the original lead vocalist, but she brought in a vocalist to take her place, dropped to backup and learned guitar. Their earlier work shows a rawer, less talented body of work that grew because they never quit learning. Big props to that. I suggest the following bands from Japan (One Ok Rock and Wagakki Band), and a fresh song set for Band Maid:

So I am a big BABYMETAL fan and I do also enjoy Band Maid, though I really haven’t checked out as much as I should. I think they are very different. BABYMETAL is a kawaii-metal band that dips into all sorts of genres and styles of music. Band Maid is more of a hard/prog rock band. They only get compared because they’re Japanese.
Band Maid is a “real” band. They got together on their own, write their own stuff, all that jazz. BABYMETAL was fabricated by Amuse and their producer Kobametal. I don’t think any of the girls in BABYMETAL even liked metal music when they started that band. Their story is quite an interesting, you should react to that BABYMETAL guide if you wanna know more about all that stuff.
Anyways, I think both are good and don’t need to be compared simply because they’re both Japanese.

Babymetal is just the three girls, who are cute but don't really bring anything else - vocals digitally altered, etc. The backing musicians are the Kami-Band, who are awesome - they are a group of session musicians hired to back Babymetal. As other commentators have said, Band-Maid write their own musiic (since about 2016). They write their own lyrics and play their own instruments - bass and drums studied at the Tokyo School of Music, the guitarist started with the piano at a pre-school age, I believe, and switched to guitar as a teenager. Babymetal have been through the pop-idol route. Band-Maid have been through the touring route and are now set to perform at the Budokan in February (pandemic permitting). For me there is no contest - it's Band-Maid hands down. If you want to hear more, any official live recording will do.

Welcome to the best rock band on the planet. These beautiful ladies have been rocking for about 10 years. Band Maid sound like Band Maid there is no band out there that comes close. Be warned they will come for your soul with plenty of Solo work from Misa (bass), Kanami (lead), Drum fills and solos from Akane and all are all killer.
Formed in 2013 by Miku who used to work in a Maid café’, the Maids first gained international notice in April 2015 when the Facebook page of internet radio station Jrock Radio promoted the music video for "Thrill" and it went viral. The great thing is they always look so happy with great interactions with their fans (that they call “Masters” and “Princesses” with concerts called “Servings”).
Some of my favourite tracks are Play, Domination, Don’t You Tell Me, Dice, Freedom, Onset, From now on, Without Holding Back, Hate and Bestie. Any Maids track always ROCKS and they have an extensive back catalogue (130+ tracks). They are all so different and are all great tracks.
    The 5 Band-Maid members are:
SAIKI Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals and melodies.
MIKU Kobato (Me-Ku), "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals and lyricist. Miku's new signature Zemaitis guitar has pigeons on the fret board. The “Flappy Pigeon” is a beautiful model. Miku always has the finest guitars in the land.
KANAMI Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar and keyboards. Kanami plays a PRS; the birds on the fret board are a tribute to Paul Reed Smith's mum who was an avid birdwatcher.
AKANE Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums.
MISA (Me-Sa), "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass. Misa usually plays a Black Cloud 5 string bass aka “Black Smoker”.
Their Battle Gear as they call it with slight variations are French maid outfits for Akane, Miku and Kanami,
MISA ditched the French maid outfit early on and started to wear a Chinese inspired maid outfit - in black of course. It's partly how MISA got her nickname 'The Barefoot Assassin', she always plays barefoot, and Miku joked her outfit was an “Assassin maid”.
Saiki's outfit is more Spanish inspired and more fitting for the Queen of Maids.

Welcome down the rabbit hole sir. You're about to find out that Band-Maid has a passionate fan base that will rack you up a lot of views and comments. To answer some of your questions: Yes, Freedom is a great song and fun to see it performed live. The ladies do sing in Japanese with some English lyrics scattered throughout but they did write two songs (Don't Let Me Down and The Dragon Cries) completely in English. I don't think it would be fair to say that Band-Maid is better than Baby Metal because it would be like comparing apples or oranges. Plus, something tells me this won't be your only Band-Maid video so just look at the song suggestions recommended by the fan base in the comment section and you'll be fine. If you're looking for an interesting story read about how the idea for the band and how the members assembled.

BAND-MAID's stated goal is World Domination through their concerts which are called, Services, in keeping with their maid theme. If you watch the Official Music Video the imagery is self-explanatory. But the music is mixed very low, so crank it up. There's another song from this same concert, 'Freedom' LIVE 2020. Also check out "Real Existence' LIVE. And LIVE is the best way to get a sense of them. But there are two songs where the Musiv Video is the best verrsion of that song. 'Blooming' os one of them, but since you like Megadeth, I suggest their heaviest most Metal influenced song, 'Rinne' . . . czcams.com/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/video.html

Lol @ your expression at the first note and sight of Kanami, the beautiful, adorkable Goddess of the guitar - how many times have we seen that same look from first-timers???.... Band-Maid and Babymetal fans have a (sometimes not so) friendly rivalry, and the battle over which band shall be known as "BM" continues to rage.... I enjoy both and visually they are equally stunning, while Babymetal might take the edge due to higher production budget - but for me Band-Maid is the favourite - not only because they're organically grown (vice corporate-produced like Babymetal), they play their own instruments and write their own songs, but while Babymetal is strictly visual enjoyment, Band-Maid meets (and actually destroys) the threshold of a band I love listening to at any time, especially in the car, cranked up to 11 (aging myself a bit there) ... that said, seeing both live is on my bucket list .. the Madiacs have arrived in force to recommend further reactions so i look forward to seeing you continue your journey down the pidgeon hole...

Babymetal is a produced Idol Band, while Band-Maid is a traditional hard rock band. Babymetal was formed as an idol/heavy metal fusion group which has become known as "kawaii metal" (also known as idol metal or cute metal). Babymetal is a "kawaii metal" band made up of three female vocalists, who are backed by heavy metal instrumentation performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" during performances.
BAND-MAID is a Japanese rock band that combines a heavy hard rock sound with a maid image modeled on Japanese maid cafĂ©s. The band was formed by singer/guitarist Miku Kobato, formerly an employee of a Japanese maid cafĂ©. She formed a band that combines the maid image with hard rock music. Kobato recruited lead guitarist Kanami Tƍno after an Internet search. Kanami had performed in an acoustic band called Rice-cakes and Cheese and suggested her drummer Akane Hirose for the new band. Akane, in turn, recommended bassist Misa, whom she met while attending the Tokyo School of Music. The band then decided to recruit an additional lead singer and selected Saiki Atsumi during auditions. It’s apples and oranges but all bands make great music.

Miku, rythum guitarist, worked in a maid cafe, while in school. She had this idea " a gap" between, maid outfits and rock. She found Kanami, lead guitarist got her interested. Kanami had played piano since 3, accomllished musician. Kanami knew drummer Akane. Akane was in music school with Misa the bassist. Kanami has trained Miku on guitar. But yes Kanami, Misa Akane are truly accomplished musicians. Its not a gimmick, but their image. Kanami and Miku have traditional french maid outfits. Drummer Akane has a maid outfit. Bassist Misa, singer Seike arent in traditional maid outfits. Kanami is one of my favorite guitarists. She is the composer. Miku the lyricist.
Try Onset a live instrumental. Blooming incredible guitar solos. Puzzle, Kanami is a fiff machine. Rinne a much heavier song.

Aside from being Female Fronted and Japanese, BAND-MAID and BabyMetal have little in common. BabyMetal is a Label vehicle made for SuMetal. BAND-MAID is a real band that formed organically when Miku Kobato was working in a Maid Cafe'. She thought the idea of a band of girls in Maid Uniforms playing Hard Rock was a cool idea. And that The Gap between those juxtaposed ideas would be appealing. She found Lead Guitarist Kanami through her CZcams videos. Kanami suggested Akane Hirose on drums. She had gone to Tokyo School of Music with bassist MISA, and BAND-MAID was formed. There was just one problem. Miku's voice just wasn't heavy enough for Hard Rock music. So she fired herself as Lead Vocalist, dropped to the Backing Vocalist position and had Kanami teach her Rhythm Guitar. They only had to search as far as their own Agency to find singer Saiki for Lead Vocals. But they only told her they would play Hard Rock in "Cute Cloths" so as not to scare her off to soon with the idea of wearing Maid Uniforms. Bot Saiki and MISA ditched the aprons early on and began wearing only black. Now the Darkness Sisters balance out all the Sweetness & Light of the other members and give BAND-MAID their edginess.

Like others have said it's probably best to not compare or bring up BabyMetal during their videos as it's like trying to compare Def Leppard to Megadeth, or something of that sort. It can set off both fan bases and I say that as someone who enjoys both even though I'll always be a Maidiac first. I found them about a year ago and have listened to very little else since, they're just that amazing. The go to MVs are Dice, Rinne, Blooming and Different since there is no live version on their channel yet. Just about everything else go with the live versions as they throw in extended intros, solos and of course the interaction and chemistry between these 5 best friends having the time of their lives just doing what they love.

Their songs are typically about 25% English. The do have two songs that are entirely in English. An older one called "Don't Let Me Down" czcams.com/video/0YGwUhg2XNk/video.html and a newer one called The Dragon Cries czcams.com/video/skEkpogsmE0/video.html The lyrics to the first are "interesting". As for the Babymetal and Band-Maid fanbases, there are loads who like both bands, but also loads who seem to hate the other. Comparing the two is a bit like asking for comments about who is right in the Northern Ireland debate.

I love both Babymetal and Band Maid, actually found Babymetal first, kind of opened the door for me to find Band Maid. They are major differences between the two, sometimes Band Maid fans get frustrated when compared to Babymetal, Do we (you) really have to make a choice? Can't we (you) like them both? lol... The thing most people, if they are going to, give Band Maid a hard time over is the maid outfits, but it is not just a gimmick but it is part of their history too, the girl who put together the band (Miku, the back up vocalist and rhythm guitar) had hopes of being part of a band like this while she was working in a maid cafe. I think you would also like "Freedom", it also showcases their talents, I would also recommend for you "Rinne" czcams.com/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/video.html or "Real Existence" czcams.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/video.html,these seem like they would fit your taste, "Rinne" is a music video and "Real Existence" is a live performance...

OK, it's just the "Sig"-rune, one is mirrored and they are not written in line but, first thing to come in my mind was the (german) historian part.
Just wanna say, some people could get offended cause, you know, people always get offended.

I don't think it's appropriate to talk about the superiority or inferiority between BAND-MAID and BABYMETAL. However, there is only a huge difference between the two, so it is not appropriate to compare the two.
In Japan, BABYMETAL is recognized by people who like to go to live houses as follows.
In that project(BABYMETAL), they created a music video that captured the trends of the hit songs at the time, live, spending money on advertising, co-sponsoring many companies, launching a lot of related products, and always in the arena. Do that live.
The vocals and the main dancer are two continuous members, and the band gathers and organizes studio musicians at each live performance.
The successive MVs of the BABYMETAL project are inconsistent.
In Japan, BABYMETAL is recognized as a medium-sized idol group in Japan, which has been trying to differentiate itself from other idol groups by always having live backing band performances at live performances.
Among Japanese who are not BABYMETAL fans who enjoy music, the producer KOBA who started the project is "KAWAII METAL".
He is famous as a smart business person who spread the Japanese idol culture among Western metal fans.
Many Japanese feel uncomfortable with Westerners treating BABYMETAL as a metal band.
By the way, I recommend NEMOPHILA except for BAND-MAID.
For those who don't know Japanese idol culture.
    This is a typical group
    czcams.com/video/dFf4AgBNR1E/video.html&ab_channel=AKB48
This is the same type as BABYMETAL and the higher group in Japan
    czcams.com/video/rLo6WJ4y_Vc/video.html&ab_channel=avex
In my personal opinion, BAND-MAID equal real music, and these two equal FAKE? Music located far below it.
However, the number of CZcams views in Japan by these two groups is one digit higher, and the total sales including goods are probably 50 times higher than BAND-MAID.

Band Maid are musicians, super talented and great performers. Baby Metal are bopping chipmunks in front of a very good band. Any comparison is an insult to Band Maid. They are without doubt the best band on the planet. Are they good? Ask Jimmy Page, he rates the group and the drummer Arkane amongst the world's best.
