how long is the rca cable?

It was somewhere around 15ft to 20ft so it should fit and if you have extra, it can be zip-tied behind the stereo. Good luck with your project!- Mike

What is a trigger wire and how did it go from inside the hatch back to inside?

The trigger wire receives a signal from your positive wire reverse light splice when you put the gear shifter into reverse, which goes to the reverse camera trigger wire that goes to your stereo - this tells the backup camera to show the picture on the stereo display. The first half of the video shows how the trigger wire goes from the backup camera, through the wire loom at the top of the tailgate, to the reverse light, through the side of the headliner, to the stereo itself.
