  • I needed to install adapters in the new truck to allow me to use my existing Superglide hitch with the OEM Ford mounting pucks.

Seems like if you already all the supergilde hardware it would be cheaper to buy the frame brackets than all those adapters. Just curious.

I had a SG3300 and it had one problem arise earlier this year, it locked up coming out of a turn around a corner and bent the top plate and the yoke badly but didn't break and lose the trailer. As best as we could determine it was related to the rails not being lubricated as advised. I noticed that your's was rusted also. How much did it raise the hitch above the original installation height? A little lube will go a long way!

I use a dry graphite spray lube on the slider rails before every pull, which is what Pullrite recommends for these hitches. It does get damp where this hitch sits when not in the truck, thus the rust, but once I put the spray graphite on it slides great.

This is the video I've been looking for. I have a 2003 F350 with a Superglide automatic hitch in it just like yours. Bought a 2017 F250 with the puck system and want to used the same hitch. Where did you get the info on the adapters that you need? Our 35' 5th wheel weights about 12,000#. Have you had any problems with the hitch being that high and not setting on the bed?

I called SuperGlide and asked what I'd need to install in the 2017 puck model, and these are the adapters they recommended. I haven't had any issues with the adapters at all. I've pulled the camper (~14000#) several times and it has been great. The best part is that the adapters raise the hitch up a bit and give more clearance between the bed rails and the bottom of the camper.
      Thanks for watching!

My setup is for sale, along with the hitch. We're going a different route with camping due to some medical issues. Not sure where you are, but if you're in the neighborhood of Georgia / South Carolina / North Florida I might be able to make you a package deal.
