I'm an American who absolutely loves Graham Norton so I'm completely aware of who Miriam is. She's is a treasure and everything that comes out of her mouth is hilarious and dirty at the same time. You seriously could not predict what she will say. Also, Alan is such an accomplished actor, so well rounded and jovial. Gotta love him...

When gay men first got into comedy like Paul Lynde or Charles Nelson Reilly, like Alan they didn't become popular by flaunting their homosexuality but by being extremely clever and witty. We've come a long way since Oscar Wilde and thank goodness for them. If I see Alan, I watch it.

Miriam is a treasure, one of the funniest women and best story tellers, I wish I could meet her one day and there's not a lot of celebs I give a flip about meeting but I'd love to see her in person.
My memory of Miriam was on the Richard and Judy show. They were talking about the menopause and Richard said "You will understand these problems, won't you Miriam. She replied "not really dear, I'm still moist down there" Poor Richard nearly choked.

Alan Cumming has been a vocal intactivist for years and I'm glad to see him (circuitously) condemning circumcision on TV! Does anyone know the scoop on the book he wrote about the subject? It seems like there as a lot of hype building up to its release, but then it vanished? Or maybe I'm wrong. I always wondered if he somehow got bullied into not releasing it, or the publisher decided it was too risky a subject?

So appreciate all the work Alan Cumming has done over the years to raise awareness of the harms of circumcision. The foreskin is a healthy, sensitive, functional body part -- and thus it is not REALLY open to "parental preference" as a body part for removal, just as no parts of the female genital anatomy should be removed at the request of a parent. It's so easy to see the questionable practices of other cultures, and so easy to accept the common practices of our own as "no big deal." But genital surgery of healthy infants... that's one that's WORTH a second look.
