Everyone: I’m gay
David rose: I drink all kinds of wine
I walked in while my family was watching the show and after he hooked up with the girl I was like oh so he's not ✋💅 and then he said that and I was like even better 😌
It makes sense cause', he's telling her that he's either pansexual, omnisexual, polysexual, bisexual, etc... not gay.

Precisely, he's come a long way from the jerk he was at the beginning of the show. Even better, the 80's weren't exactly the most accepting of the LGBTQA Plus community, so it's so moving to watch Steve accept Robin without question. 💞

Apparently, Robin and Steve were supposed to get together, but Maya, Joe and the Duffer Brothers thought that something didn't sit right. Instead, they decided that Robin should come out to Steve, which is honestly better, since he instantly accepted her. ♥️

Crazy ex girlfriend has multiple bi characters and most of them don't have stories focused on that.
Okay, one of them does have a storyline where he realises hevs bi so it's obviously about his sexuality but his character is definitely not limited to that (I'd suggests listening to the song "Gettin bi" from the show!)
Adam's coming out scene was probably one of the realest things I've ever felt because it is legitimately so mind-splitting thinking about your sexuality. What if your friends and family hate you? What if you're all alone? Obviously it's not the same for everyone, but the fear of no longer fearing who you are is one of the greatest emotions I've ever had to deal with

Sense8 is basically a coming out parade almost every episode and we love to see it!
LOVED that show!

I honestly love how Bojack acted with Todd. He was so supportive and nice to him, and even before he came out, he was really mature about the whole Emily thing and everything, and I honestly love that scene.
you don’t see that warmth from bojack very often!
Ikr. One of the few scenes where bojack acts alright
I do believe that was the only asexual coming out scene in the video. As an aroace person, that tracks, considering that asexual representation is fairly uncommon. I'm not really complaining though, it's just an observation.🤷♂
it's the "celebrating the lgbt community every time they can but still cancelling the shows with good representation or, most importantly, the ones that have queer lead ones" for me 😊
Shows get cancelled based on ratings, that’s just how business works (no one gets into business to lose money).
And sadly, but logically, lgbt+ shows are prone to lower ratings since they cater to a smaller demographic.
It’s not personal, it’s just a matter of what sells and what doesn’t.
And in any case, it’s not like they stop producing LGBT+ content. They’re CONSTANTLY putting out new lgbt+ shows or shows with lgbt+ representation.
@@tbbcch1039 I'm aware of that.
The two shows I complain the most were pretty successful. Teenage Bounty Hunters was in Top 10 Most Watched since its release, only to be cancelled less than two months later, in its first season. The Society was pretty successful and had its second season confirmed but was cancelled when covid hit. I'm aware it's a different situation, I'm still complaining.
Netflix has a new movie coming soon FULL of famous stars, that's literally the reason as to why there were SO many shows cancelled, not just lgbtq+ ones, although they were the most affected. The Kissing Booth has its third movie coming up when no one likes it/asked for it. He's All That... mmm yeah, no.
I'm sorry but they need better executives greenlighting shows if so many of them are cancelled less than two seasons in or to set their priorities straight.
@@baebyun2914 I mean, yes, there are other reasons why shows get cancelled besides ratings, and granted, they aren't always good reasons.
My point is mainly that the reasons usually don't have much to do with LGBT+ issues. So complaining about how they celebrate diversity but cancel certain shows as if there was some incoherence in that is what doesn't make much sense to me.
I can understand complaining about shows in general being cancelled by dumb reasons, I just don't see how it relates with Netflix celebrating diversity.
@@tbbcch1039 thanks for missing the point 🙏
@@chickenmax9953 How did I miss the point? I got the point, I just don't think it's a very good point. Ppl can understand and still disagree with you, you know?
not me crying because someone actually represented an ace character. i've never felt more validated
same, this is part of what made it so difficult to figure out my sexuality, as i had no idea growing up that there was anything else apart from allosexual
@@user-os2oz5gz1d YES even as someone raised on the internet it took me a while to figure my sexuality out because even in lgbt spaces its scarcely talked about. if I had things like this I'd be a hell of a lot easier
I’ve seen a lot of coming out scenes and I’ve only watched 2 scenes where the character came out as asexual counting the one in the video. There needs to be more asexual representation. It can be confusing to people, even to people that are a part of the LGBTQ+ community so people need to talk about it and show it more. I think I might be asexual but I don’t know. I’m still so confused. I only heard of the word last year when I already knew what gay, transgender, bisexual, nonbinary meant.
@@anaamaro3369 as someone who was raped because I came out as ace, it's definitely not 'just a personality '. Personalities can change, and if your asexuality isn't set in stone, idk you deal with it, but it feels like you're very privileged to say we're not persecuted just because you had a good experience.

STRANGER THINGS ALMOST MADE ME CRY
Robin’s coming out scene has my heart. Stranger things is set in the 80s in America, she could’ve been shot by people if word was to get out. And she felt comfortable enough to say it to Steve. And Steve responded in the best way afterwards too, he didn’t really comment on the fact she is a lesbian, instead he commented on her taste in women. It was so refreshing to see, because of course coming out is a big thing for someone to do and you’d expect people to say something about it, hopefully in a positive light like how heartstopper did with Sarah saying ‘thank you for telling me’ to Nick. But Steve not even commenting on it is even more powerful. It’s almost like he’s saying ‘okay, well that’s a part of you so now I know, I can talk with you about it’ and it makes me so happy. Makes me think that maybe one day the world will be like that, where people won’t even have to ‘come out’ they can just go home one day and say they’re in love with whoever. If I was to have two kids in the future, I would love for them to both come home one day and one would say they’ve got a crush on someone of the opposite sex, and the other would say they’ve got a crush on someone of the same sex, and I would talk to each of them about it in identical ways. I think that’s why the Duffer Brothers wrote it in after deciding Robin would be lesbian.
Robin❤️ best coming out is "holly shit". The best💪🏻

I really dislike the "I already knew" + *states the boy wanted a feminine object * trope someone coming out as gay.
_First_ it just puts the listener in the spotlight when they should congratulate him for finding the courage to do so.
_Second_ asking for a particular type of feminine thing as a young boy doesn't define you as gay?? If the kid just wanted it then I mean say no or yes but don't have gendered views on inanimate objects?
@semi exactly!! Thank you so much for agreeing, I'm tired of parents making our come out their moment of "yeah my gendered vision of you as a kid made me get you didn't like *gender * but this one instead". It's so dumb.
@@misshope8297 Honestly same. My mother felt naive after I came out because all of her friends said they saw coming and she didn’t. Why? Because I don’t play sports? Because I mind how I dress? None of it had anything to do with it.
Most of my friends are like me in that regard and are straight. Yet I’m sure if any of them had come out instead of me, they would’ve said the same shit about how “they saw it coming”. It’s just pure confirmation bias.
Honestly my mother was the smart one for not thinking those things made me queer, but she ended up feeling like the blind one because of their dumb comments.

That's not how any of this works. Sexual orientation is a REAL thing. There are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, etc. people. We don't fall for the person. Kinda true with everyone coming up after he came out but it was cringe in a way
I still love Theo ‘s coming out
What episode is that
I actually liked how quick and simple it was. I wish the majority of people I encountered would simply except me and move on.
i actually really like it bc billy and the rest of the team aside from being the biggest jerks ever were supportive. and am i the only one who was shocked that theo was trans and gay? well i think hes like unlabled or something but
Crying. So powerful!! Amazing
i kinda really love Eleanor's reaction to Fabiola coming out (Never Have I Ever). usually you get the straight girls that are like "omg i want a gay best friend... ew lesbians", but in this case, Eleanor's "i've always wanted a gay friend" literally just means she's wanted an LGBTQIA+ friend. doesn't matter if they're gay, lesbian, bi, pan, etc. she'll be their bestie
“I know, I’ve known since you where three.” Literally my dad.
should of added Santana lopez coming out scene. it was heart breaking
Now update it and add Nick's coming out scene.
Shame they used Sense8 as their finale after they cancelled it but nice to see them include trans and asexual coming outs
I'm so glad they covered asexuality
You missed Santana coming out to her abuela.
Thank you for this i need this to help me to find myself
The acting in some of these is so good! I know what this feels like and this hit so hard
when robin came out to steve, i love how he didn’t judge her about it, he judged her taste in women. he’s a good friend and i’m glad i see some characters who don’t care what other characters sexually is
I love burt so much and Kurt's coming out scene really made me love him a thousand times more because of how unexpectedly accepting he was
AAAAAA
THIS IS JUST BEATFUL
AAAA
lol still upset with y’all for cancelling one day at a time, it was so good
I believe that telling our stories, first to ourselves and then to one another and the world, is a revolutionary act.
Robin form Stranger Things, OMG I LOVE HER AAAAAAA
Burt was such a great father. He did not understand Kurt at the beginning, but did all he could to show him it was alright and always defended him when something bad happened 🖤
I love Mathew’s way of coming out and how supportive his dad was. I love that show.
Where is Alec's from Shadowhunters? He outed himself by stopping his own wedding, marched back down the aisle then kissed Magnus in front of Friends, Family and all his fellow shadowhunters!!! That was coming out in style!!!!!
I love this, thank you. ♥️
Thank you for this!
The amount of love I feel. Glee is literally my favourite show in the entire world. Love/hate relationship. But Kurt literally has a special place in my heart.
Can you believe that people still don't believe that Robin is gay because they're so fixated on Steve and Robins love to be intimate. It's so sad. SHE'S A LESBIAN AND IT WAS SO OBVIOUS WHEN SHE TALKED ABOUT TAMMY.
I can't believe people still try to turn characters sexuality only because they aren't happy that the boy and girl didn't end up together.
