The King of Random hi plz reply
Hello đ đ đ
EVREYTHING!
The easiest way to get a rootbeer float ready quickly: Use a bigger glass.
Andrew Boner lol true
Put the ice cream in last

This guy has 1000 IQ heâs fkn smart
But that would be easy
Cali, I'm From England and absolutely love root beer and root beer floats.
My great grandad was a navy captain in our Royal Navy during World War 2, and when he went over to America on deployment, an American Navy Captain taught him how to make a proper root beer float which he then made for me when I was about 5, and I love them to this day đ
That is so cool đđđ
How do you make them
Okay but like who uses that little of ice cream. Those were two stingy scoops man
where i'm from those "Scoops" combined aren't even a full Scoop.
IKR?! They're supposed to make a sphere in that scoop!
Or maybe you just like alot
They're just experimenting, they gotta have that tub last for them, as well as the probably 30 or more other cans of pop they have
Go to Greaters ice cream one scoop is like a whole tub of ice cream
I remember going to A&W restaurants when I was younger. The glass mug you got was always kept chilled. And you could buy the mugs. They also had mini mugs for kids.
I have 2 mini mugs
And their root beer tasted better back then too
You were able to bring your one gallon jug and they would fill it up.
Also-also, actually-actually, does anyone else mix their icecream with rootbeer so its not soda+ice cream, but more of a root beer shake?
I dont like the bubbles but enjoy the uniformity of the consistancy of the creamy and refreshing.
You can actually buy this at an A&W restaurant.
yes
@@graywolfdracon IF one exists around where you live. However our A&W restaurants left about 20 years ago. Theres none in my area. I have very faint memories of it as a little kid, but thats all. I know they still exist, just no where near me.
You can also order " blended" floats at Sonic.

Can you do floats with lots of different sodas to find out what the best soda float is???
it really depends on what flavors you like. i can recommend you a few if you want.
Mountain Dew and vanilla ice cream is the best float
Orange soda works great too. Creamsicle
@@salvatorebaleno9807 yeah my brother really likes thst
down to personal taste, but the root beer float is a classic for a reason.
So -
I really enjoy cream soda floats and Dr Pepper floats.
One of my favorite items at Dairy Queen is a Dr Pepper freeze - extra thick.
Me, having figured out how to make ANY float without excessive amounts of foam, since he was a tween...
Pour the soda first (bartender style to avoid excess foam), then gently plop the scoops into the glass.
Thank you
âAnd if you donât like root beer... Iâm sorry, but youâre wrong and we canât be friends.â
No truer words... have ever been spoken
"if you dont like root beer youre wrong and we cant be friends"

Woah.
I wish grant was still here with us, he was my favorite youtuber
Thats why you should be nice to everyone, because you never know when they could leave this earth.
When my grandma cooks, she always puts a wooden spoon on her pots to keep them from boiling over. I wonder if this same thing would work for the Root Beer. Try it out for me, please?
thats a myth and doesnt work.

"If you don't like root beer then I'm sorry, you're wrong, and we can't be friends."

So can we safely assume that people who do not like root beer are just bad? This video made me really want a float lol
I never tried ): I wanna try now
Wow

Panic! At the disco?
This is the sort of random experimentation that I love to see!
I've also done floats with more than just root beer or Coke. Try it with an orange soda!
it's so delicious
Try also sherbet with any fruity sodas. If you haven't before, it'll blow your mind.
Now THIS is necessary information! I haven't clicked on one of your videos this fast in ages!

that's not a float, that is punch
That creamy, delicate foam at the end when all's been mixed together is DELICIOUS!!! Embrace it!
I love that Nate took that stand. I can't be friends with you if you don't like root beer either.
They should try and make the most foamy root beer float in vacuum pressure just to see how much foam they can get
Who else have been watching The King of Random for more than a year?đâ€ïž
How original bot
Been watching since the beginning, miss Grant, Nate and Cal are both awesome though!
Me
Since Grant was going the OG simple "life hacks" and tricks.
I think it would be cool if Nate and Cali figures out how much milk cereal has to absorb to become unpleasant
Everyone knows they taste better in a glass cup
Heck yes
I always was told that with the "finger trick"' it was the sodium from your sweat that dispersed the bubbles. Maybe revisit this again some day, and try adding some salt to the bottom if a cup and also a pinch of salt into the foam.
Salt has the same reaction as mentos and sugar when it mixes with soda.
I was also always told as a kid that it was the salt that helped
The sweat from your finger tips is a combination of several chemicals. Some by themselves increases the bubbles and some decrease the longevity of the bubbles. To have a root beer float that has no bubbles without removing all carbonation you have to first find out which chemicals do what and layer the inputs of the chemicals to eradicate excess carbonation.
âIf you donât like root beer, your wrong and we canât be friendsâ amazing line
"I don't want to say your wrong, I just disagree with you on a personal level" a great line as well
I don't like root beer, but I like root beer floats
Thank you for creating this video! It will help when serving root beer floats for a 50's party fundraiser!
You reminded me that when I was little I read that you could get the bubbles to go down with your skin oils. But instead of just the oils on your fingers it said to rub your forehead! I remember rubbing a finger on my forehead and then touching my soda foam whenever I poured it into a cup.
Here in Brazil (in some regions) we call it "vaca preta" that means black cow
That makes a lot of sense, considering grape soda floats are called purple cows here.
We call them brown cows in Zimbabwe
I live in Pennsylvania and we call them Black Cows here as well.
We call ice cream in chocolate milk a brown cow.
This is the most important info youâve ever posted.
So true
I truly hope you guys look in the mirror every day and say "I am really lucky" Thank you for another great vid!
I canât tell you how grateful I am for the metric conversions đđ
Nice! I love the foam plus the root beer ice/ice cream combo that forms on the surface of the ice cream.
I'm surprised they did not dip the ice cream into liquid nitrogen before pouring in the near freezing root beer into frozen cup myself to see how few bubbles form. There are also the mugs that have liquid/gels between the inner and outer walls that can be frozen for extra cooling.
Those awesome intros never get old
They are.
Yeah
Here in Brazil, we dont have Root Beer, actually I never heard before. In some states we use coke, and we call as "Vaca Preta" (Black Cow).
We CAN be friends because I LOVE root beer floats. And for me it's GOT to be A & W root beer! Fun video. Enjoyed it!!
Completely random fact:
People who fear Friday the 13th suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia.
The only bot I like
And people who fear polar bears suffer from ufhejdgzgchfghevsjshfheididjdvhdphobia
Whenever I make a rootbeer float, I just stuck off the foam with a straw.
same
Same but without the straw
I think you should try to make a float using freeze dried ice cream, or even reconstituted root beer(maybe reconstituting with different bubbly waters ie club vs sparkling)
I used to work at a restaurant and we had this person come in who always made us make their float in the blender you put like four scoops of ice cream and a whole can of whatever soda they wanted and blended it till it was smooth like a milkshake
I love when they zoomed out so you could see just how many cups of root beer there were.
Hidden humour of the camera man đ
FYI: Root beer floats are also called Black Cows!
I donât understand
Monika Where I grew up in Minnesota, we drink root beer floats. Every time we would order them they would remind us that they were called âblack cows.â. Maybe itâs just a Minnesota thing.
Do you also drink purple cows? Grape juice and ice cream.
Douglas from Pa Never tried that but Iâm game. I like OJ and vanilla ice cream. Orange cow?
@@douglasfrompa593 There was a religion in my school called Switchism where you only drink switch floats. (btw switch is a fruit soda and my school only had grape flavored ones)
Before watching this video I was like âhmm I wonder how Cali will use fire this timeâ
These are the best videos ever created
Might I recommend Crazy Uncle's Hard Root Beer. That is one of the best floats I've ever had!
Breyers isnât actually Ice Cream, itâs "Frozen Dairy Dessert"
Notice it doesnât say the words âIce Creamâ on the container anywhere. So your results may differ with real ice cream.
Not true for Vanilla Flavor.
"Guys, I feel like we've fairly exhaustively tested this..." says Nate, as you see like 20 open root beer cans...
Watching Callie try to open the bottle with her forearm. I thought i was one of the only ones who did that.
We donÂŽt have rootbeer in The Netherlands anymore. They did sell A&W for almost 2 euro per can, but it was really hard to find and the stores that had it, cancelled it. Never had a chance to try it.
I never realized Root Beer is an excursively American drink, that makes me sad since it is my favorite drink, I've had dozens of brands and now i'll always pour some out for the rest of the world.
@@theswampus670 It's only since a few years that Mnt Dew came to The Netherlands. If Subway didn't come here... Still it's an exclusive here. So who knows
@@theswampus670 The problem with root beer in europe is that the wintergreen is pretty much something people associate with toothpaste and mouthwash and therefore it propably wont sell. Here in Germany i only know one store that has 2 brands of root beer, which both are ~70% sugar and not even real root beer but a root beer like drink with "flavour adjusted for europeans" and they are fckn expensive and so sweet you cant really drink them.
My favorite part of the video was when Nate said "high hopes" and you hear Calli faintly singing "High Hopes" by Panic! at the Disco. (Probably because I started singing the same thing!)
The lecithin experiment cracked me up from the start. Only because I'm a weirdo who reads ingredient labels when I'm bored. I immediately remembered that lecithin is a big part of making ice cream. No need for gross gobby capsules, it's already in there.
While root beer floats are the undisputed king of floats, my favorite is a grape soda float. I don't drink grape soda on it's own like I do root beer but dang it's awesome. My sister prefers orange soda floats because it's a liquid orange creamsicle.
P.S. TKOR
You need to put proper scoops of ice cream in the float. You're supposed to still have plenty of ice cream left to eat with a spoon after adding the soda.
SO gratefull that you show the celsius too. Thank you guys
I have never had this issue, it's always been that the foam never lasts more than a few seconds. Warm or cold.

I heard that butter on the lip of the cup prevents bubbles going over. Could you test this?

Yes then the fizzy would make it puff up again đ. I think, that's if my science hasn't failed me. đČ

Root beer is my favorite soda, and I LOVE root beer floats!
I love it Root beer is the most amazing drink ever including Coke and Redbull what would happen if you added ice cream to Redbull
