What's your favorite season in Thailand?
The Rainy Season? 🌧(May - October)
The Hot Season? 🌞(March & April)
The Cooler Season? 🌤(November - February)

I have been to Thailand 3 times
      First was in March 2017
      Second was in August 2018
      Third was in November 2023
I would say that March was the best time in terms of weather, it occasionally rains in evening, best for snorkeling and beaches, north was cooler too.
In August till September it was raining too much, nothing to do except indoor activities like clubbing or bars.
November was best time for central and north, sunny days, but in south it rains for 3 weeks and overcast weather

Depending very much on where you go and what you do:
For example, the hot season is brilliant for the islands in the south, cool season is great for Chiang Mai and rainy season is best for fruits!

As a Thai, whenever someone asks me when the best period to visit Thailand is, i always answer rainy season. Everything is green. The mountains are beautiful. The air is fresh. The sky…..yes it’s cloudy and rainy, but there’s some part of the day that it’s sunny and rain stop. The beach ans sea is not much clouded with people. The weather is not too hot and not cold. Relax feeling. It’s the best period of the year.
    Thank you for the video.

Shut up Paddy 😂. Do not tell people to come during “ rainy” season. Just left Koh Lanta- had beachfront room at resort with pool all to ourselves. Discounted room, town nice and quiet. Great time to visit- we are regulars May- June. Wife Thai- bring kids to visit family. Playing in the ocean during a downpour- love it.

we visited recently, June 22 to July 9th and had a fantastic time. 17 days and only one single day rained off. For 16 of 17 days the sun shone and we had calm waters for snorkelling and swimming in Phi Phi and Krabi. We had a few heavy showers at night but who cares? You are tucked up in bed listening to the rain and wind howling at the door. The next morning, the sun is beating down hotter than ever. We are going back next June. Bars and eateries are easy to get into too. No crowds, just pleasantly busy

  • @mancunianinlondon

No Brit wants to fly 15 hours to film rainy Thailand; we already get enough grey clouds and rain in the UK. We've had no summer this year and BTW, no one wants to read a book or bring a laptop either. We visited this year in June and July. We had 17 days and only one single day rained off. The other 16 days were sunny, red hot and offered calm seas for snorkelling on Phi Phi and Krabi. I'd encourage anyone to visit Thailand in summer. It's cheaper, less crowded and the vast majority of the time, the weather is excellent. There are calm waters for snorkelling and swimming on Phi Phi and Krabi while you can surf the waves on Phuket. The bugs were around but not excessively. We did get badly bitten by mozzies though. Its the tropics and people should just accept it

One of the great advantages with rainy season for people like me it brings out all the best wildlife, many of me my friends travel to various countries all over the world to photograph snakes, Spiders, reptiles and amphibians, this may not be everyone's cup of tea but 1000s of us love it, while you can still find these species most times of the year, in the rainy season you see some species that you normally wouldn't in dry season 😊

Um... I'm gonna admit that I haven't tuned into this channel properly for about six months. Now I don't know exactly what's happened in that time but the quality of these vids has gone uber exponential. It's not just face to camera, it's not just the edit or the shoot - EVERYTHING has taken a such a massive leap forward. This latest series of islands are an absolute pleasure to watch. Like there's even art direction now with the shirt colours. Like holy crap! Takes a lot to get wowed on YT these days - especially if you live in Thailand and hardly ever watch Thai vloggers - but holy wow, dude. Well done. 🙌🙏

The annual monsoon is caused by the significant temperature difference between the land and the water, in this case the Indian Ocean. The land heats up much faster and this creates a low pressure area over the land. This draws in the moist air from the Indian Ocean over the land. These wet air masses encounter the hot air and rise. Rising allows for cooling and condensation of the air which results in heavy rainfall. Anyway a bit of a long explanation, thought you might be interested.

I see so many misconceptions expressed by tourists about Phuket and rainy season. They think from May on it’s just pouring all day every day it seems, but the reality is that May-August are generally quite nice. Can have some heavy showers but they’re typically brief, but September and October are predominantly overcast and with more rain, the only months I really don’t recommend. We’ve barely had rain this year, we are praying for more here

Unless you are one of those who never leave their bungalow/pub and go to the beach anyway, you will quickly learn to hate it. At some point everything feels always wet, your clothes even your bed. And the whole nature and beach (and people) start to look rather depressing.

Last time I was there 2 years ago was in July and in Samui we rented a motorbike only to have a rain storm hit right as we got it. Money we'll spent as they have had to rebuild the pier after a major storm during covid wiped it away mostly. There used to be really cool rooms along the waterfront but they have been removed now. Oh and there's a cheeky (literally) erotica garden near the main pier worth a look 😂

I'm more prone to Costa Rica, and many years they marketed rainy season as "Green Season," and the result of rain makes the flora and fauna more exuberant. Flooding is an issue in some areas due to lack of administration. Florida where I live is tropical. It's currently a beautiful hot morning and we expect rain this afternoon for a brief moment. No big deal.

We went in July last year and the weather was mostly very nice, sunny and hot, yes it rained but out of 14 days we had 1 or 2 heavy downpours which cleared to blue sky, going again this year at the same time!

I was there in koh kood 1 week ago. No crystal beaches. Full wind and rain.
I like the rainy season. But not worth visiting islands at this time. And transport was an issue too. The usual 6 house from Pattaya took 8 and 11 hours. To and from.
