I hardly ever think about that. Nice observation. I guess it's easy to forget that since 117 is a legend in the Halo universe. But I guess it does bring to light the underlying theme behind Halo Reach about soldiers that sacrifice their lives on the battlefield, soldiers that are often forgotten to time, have no memorials dedicated to them, and have no medals rewarded in their honor. Even Halo fans often forget the accomplishments of Nobile Team from time to time, let alone the fact that Nobile 6 was an officer and not an enlistedman (unlike Chief).

I audibly laughed at this. Thank you for making it. I like to imagine it's from an alternate universe where the banished never existed, everyone survived the war, they found a cure for cortana's rampancy, and are now just doing some training sims to keep their minds sharp
Now that you mention this, I would like to see a version of this minus the gamer language and shit-talking. Just the characters as they would be, running around in a training simulation against Spartan IV recruits or something. It could be the Halo version of the Kobayashi Maru test from Star Trek, where the IVs are pitted against a team they basically can't beat.
