Jaguar XF I door malfunction

Hello, viewers! It was 6 years ago and I made this video for local jag owners group. Soon I've changed entire mechanism to solve problem. I don't own this car anymore so I can't tell if this problem repeats often or not.

I'm having that problem right now. I managed to get the door closed again by lifting the part that is inside the door right above the turning closing mechanism. Was needed because the car is outside all night. But now I cannot open the door anymore. I'm afraid the spring from the outside door handle broke off because I cannot feel any resistance anymore when lifting it. Wondering if I should (and if I can) remove the interior panel of the blocked door in order to see what is wrong.

Pull the door shut press the lock button on the dash it will work after

My XF has done this today, what was the problem with yours and how did you sort it please ?

Something went wrong with lubricant inside door lock (mixed with water probably), so applying wd-40 or anything from outside had no effect. Dealer replaced one part of lock (don't remember part number).

How much did the dealer charge? My 2018 f-pace is having the same issue
