- Written by Brent Dowe & Trevor McNaughton. First recorded and released in 1970 by the Jamiacan band The Melodians ( Reggae version ). In 1978 the German band " Boney M " recorded a disco version and made this song very popular in Europe. In Flanders " De Strangers " made a very funny Dutch version of it " Den Dopper ".The backing track for my instrumental version is made by me. Everything is played/recorded in my home-recording Studio ChinChan.

I recall this fantastic disco tune from around 1978. I heard it all over Italy and Yugoslavia during the summer of '78. Terrific rendition here Eric! Brought back many memories to me.
